Quote: Prompt 11 (Marshmallow Snow): Fresh-fallen snow coats Destiny City. It’s pristine and crisp, and it crunches as you walk through it. It may be a few inches deep, but it doesn’t seem to go above your calves when walking. At first, it’s easy enough to walk through, but gradually you realize that it’s getting harder to move. Every step you take feels like the snow is pulling you back in, and if you get a good look you might realize that sticky white fluff is clinging to you. The more you walk, the more it pulls, until you’re almost completely stuck. Something about the snow smells oddly sweet, and the tacky, marshmallow-like snow seems like it’s suddenly become a prison. The more you try to break free, the stickier it gets, and you’d better hope you don’t fall down. The more you struggle the harder it is to escape, but if you manage to stay still for a few minutes, the marshmallow will freeze and crystallize. When you move again, the snow will turn into a powdery dust and you can break free easily. The only good thing about this is that you won’t starve if you get trapped–the snow tastes just like marshmallows. Waking up to fresh snowfall was always enchanting in it's own right, waking up to DaeSu and GeonSu being excited to go out in said fresh snow just made the heart melt. Still Terry distracted them for a few more hours by one, having them help him make breakfast for everyone and two, letting the twins carefully bring Seung said breakfast in bed as a wake up call.
He followed after them with a tray of his own, holding the twins and his own food having promised they could all have a picnic in bed if they were careful, to see DaeSu giving Seung butterfly kisses while giggling, his share of Seung's food set down on the nightstand. "Appa it's picnic time and it's snowing outside and Dad said we can't go out until we are all up and I want to make a snow angel and~" The child kept a running commentary of what he was wanting to do outside as Terry carefully put the tray down and sat on the bed. Reaching over he put a hand on top of GeonSu's head and ruffled his hair then leaned over to give Seung a kiss with a smile. "Good morning~." The smile on his face clear in his voice.

He worked often from home, though not all the time, but if he wanted to do that he could. He could tgake a snow day and work form home, it wasn't impossible, he was high enough up the chain that he could do such things. He had, in part, earned it but he also knew the owner of the company. Knowing the owner, and having a high up posistion, did allow for certain things...like this.
The weather forcast said they were due for snow, a lot of it, and so he'd called his friend and let him know tha the wouldn't be in today - school had already been canceled. He'd been watching the local news once the twins has gone to bed and saw the announcment, he'd been expecting but he needed the confirmation, and it was understood that he'd need to be home for the twins. There was no doubt they'd be running about in the snow as soon as they could get outside, something he'd warned his husband about the previous night.
When he was woken by bouncing and loud voices, his families voices, he wasn't surprised. Stretching and sitting up slowly his head bobbed a bit. "Of course, I'm up now so we can eat. We can go out once we've all eaten and hot chocolate when we get back in." Moving to get comfortable he went to look around for his own food.
"Were the twins good, Terry?"

Terry helped Seung sit up while DaeSu and GeonSu dutifully passed their father the plates they had brought for him. "Of course, when are our boy's ever misbehaving hmm? They helped with breakfast." Terry gave a few chuckles while the twins puffed with pride. "Appa I made the toast!" DaeSu said as he took a plate that Terry was passing to him to eat. "GeonSu got the juice." The older twin cheerfully poked his younger brother then started to pay a bit more attention to the food.
Terry kept an eye on the twins until he was sure they were being careful then dug into his one food. "We got a good five to six inches of snow from the sound of things, though some parts of the city might have gotten more or less." He said after a minute, letting Seung know about the outcome of last nights reports.

"I know, they are always well behaved." They had gotten lucky, really lucky. Some children who were in orphanages were not so well behaved and had issues, some because of being in an orphanage, but they'd managed to adopt two little boys who after some time had adjusted well to living in a new country. It hadn't always been easy, he hadn't expted as much, but it got better as time wen ton. He still kept in touch with family that he could and they still visited South Korea, they'd even spent time living there while he'd served his mandatory military time. It allowed them to reconnect to their home country while being able to live as normal children - who had a family.
"Thank you, DaeSu, GeonSu." Bowing to his tweins as he thanked them, taking the offered food so he could start eating. "Some parts of the citygot more without a doubt, I wouldn't be surprised if some areas hit a foot of snow. The weather report last ngiht made it seem like a blizzard." He said with a smile to his husband. Taking a nibble of his toast he looked thoughtful for a moment. It was the domestic things, like watching the news for the weather report, and school closing, which he enjoyed the most. Sitting with hot chocolate and watching the news was enjoyable.
"How is your family Terry? No one snowed in and need of help?"

"True, but either way there will be more then enough snow for everyone to play in after everyone is done with breakfast." Terry said, giving DaeSu a playful but pointed look when the child looked like he was about to put his plate down and run out in his excitement. He then looked over at Seung at the question and shook his head. "No, everyone is fine they got about as much snow as we did and Matt already got to work shoveling the driveway from what Mom told me." he leaned over and have a gentle shoulder bump to his husband.
"Hyeon said that Eunkyung is fine as well, he checked up on her earlier as well." It had been while breakfast was being made that all the calls had happened. "Haven't gotten any messages about anyone needing help in particular either." He kept it vague since the twins were here but knew that Seung would catch his meaning.

"That's good." He was glad no one was snowed in and everyone was able to get out, in case someone needed to, he didn't like the idea of anyone in their family being snowed in. "I'm glad Hyeon helped Eunkyung." Not that he was susprirsed to hear that. They were all close and so helped each other as was needed, it was a close and small family group. He hadn't had friends outside the group really, not in a while, and he wasn't sure he even needed it. His boss was a friend but that was about it. The group of knights which ad once tried to form had failed...and nothing had ever taken off since. It was fine.
"Mmm, that's good." He understood, nothing magical was happening to anyone, and what was good. The more normal a winter they could have the better. he knew his husband had run into Ganymede, and her partner, a while back during some big battle. He'd been filled in after the children had gone to bed, while sharing a drink with Terry they'd discussed what had happened. These sorts of talks, whether between just the two of them or with other family members, was always done once the children were asleep and away from Terry's parents. They didn't want to worry them or concern the children. They were always had at night around the coffee or kitchen table and with some sort of drinks involved...sometimes tea and coffee and other times something else.
"Alright, lets finish our breakfast so we can get out into the snow, right?" Looking at the twins as he spoke.

He hadn't every really had many friends, more likely to stick to family then try to get close or to let others get close to him before Seung came into his life. Even after though it was hard to go beyond the slow expansion that happened thanks to the love of his life. If asked, Terry would easily say he had everything he needed already, though actually managing to be part of a group would have been nice, it also wasn't something he was too upset about when it hadn't worked out other then what had happened to Gev.
Terry gave another bright smile when the twins gave their agreement, both of them tucking in just a bit faster to their food, though he made sure they weren't eating so fast that they would get sick. It didn't take long for the small family of four to finish and Terry scooted the twins out of the room to get them ready for being outdoors while letting Seung get dressed himself. "We'll wait for you in the living room." He said as he left the room, closing the door behind him.

Watching as his children dug into the breakfast, silently hoping they didn't choke on their food, he finally scooted out of bed once everyone was out of the room - time to get ready. He did, for a brief moment, wonder if he had time for a shower. He doubted it though and he'd rather take one once he got back inside, as he figured he'd need it in order to warm up.
So he went about finding his warmest winter clothing, heavy and no doubt warm, he pulled on socks and snow pants. A sweater was pulled on over his head and a coat was yanked on over the sweater, and zipped up, he didn't care much for getting cold as he knew the twins would want to be out for a while. When he did head down the stairs, leaving the bedroom door open a crack, that dark haired male called out to his family. "Everyone is ready?"
He was sure the twins were but what about Terry? Had they given him the time to get ready as well? "My snow boots are inthe closet by the door, can someone grab them for me?" Calling ahead of his arrival to the small group waiting for him.

Terry was just finishing up making sure that the twins were bundled up enough, jackets, mittens, scarves, and all else, when Seung joined them. With one last adjustment to the hood of GeonSu's jacket he gave a nod and a grin. "Everyone is ready here." He had made sure to grab his own heavy winter effects and got them ready to put on before they had woken up Seung, knowing that their boys wouldn't want to wait too long.
"I got them!" DaeSu said cheerfully as he darted to the closet to grab Seung's boots. It didn't take him even a minute to have them in hand and holding them out to his Father with a grin on his face.

"They really are in a hurry to get outside, aren't they." It wasn't a question, he didn't need more answer than looking from one twin to the other. "Thank you DaeSu." Nodding to his son as he took his boots and slipped one foot, than the other, into the boots he went about lacing them. Nearing falling over, for lack of balance due to all the heavy winter clothing, the dark eyed male looked the twins over, first GeonSu than his brother, both were well bundled up and ready to go.
Sometimes he wondered where they'd be now, in life, if he and Terry hadn't adopted them. He tried to shake those thoughts away quickly - they were all well and good with them. THey had the twins and he didn't need to ponder such thoughts...they were safe and well loved. They were happy here, even if it wasn't Korea.
"Alright, I think I'm ready." Nodding his head as he shifted his weight to make sure he hadn't tied his boots too tightly, or too loosely. "You ready Terry?" For dealing with two very excited children and a mountain of snow.
