Name: Strix Mayer-Argyris Nickname: Trix, Trip, no we're not gonna do the Trix are for kids thing again-- Gender/Pronoun: Nonbinary, they/them Age: 19 Birthday: March 18 Sign: Pisces Gemstone: Aquamarine Blood Type: O- Fav. Food: Ask again later?? Too many to count. They like sushi and seafood in general a lot, though, and spicy things too. Hated Food: Peanut butter (spent an entire childhood and teenagerdom babysitting cousins with peanut allergies) School/Occupation: In intermittent classes at a community college, sometimes seeing a private tutor.
Hobbies: Photography: Photography is an archival thing: it says I was here, I was here, I was here. That confirmation of existence is something Strix will always crave, and they love taking candids; they've got albums full of family and friends and events and stories. No need for fancy cameras, no need for film; that's fun, sure, but all they need is their phone's camera lens. Gardening: Strix likes to get their hands dirty. It's easy for them to focus on the little things in a garden and tune out everything else, and there's something wonderfully rewarding about watching things grow. Lately they've started on succulents, as a self-imposed challenge to not try to micromanage their plants so much. Baseball: Strix is, in perpetuity, kind of a jock. For various reasons they have no interest in playing professionally, not that they even could - they're not skilled enough for it - but they were in Little League all the time up until their teens, and even without really being on a team these days, they keep up with the official, professional Big Leagues fervently. Swimming: Second verse, same as the first - in perpetuity, Strix is kind of a jock. They've never been on any swim team for a variety of personal reasons, but it's their favorite form of exercise, and they have Opinions about every aspect of it. Get them in the water and they really come alive, with a grace and efficiency they don't display in their day-to-day life.
Virtues: Genuine: As embarrassed as they do get about it sometimes, Strix feels deeply and truly about things, and once one gets past the walls and jokes they're not the type to lie. They'll say what they mean, in the end, once it comes down to it; their flat affect makes it easier to shrug things off if people don't take them seriously, but they are, in fact, very much serious a lot of the time. Protective: If you mess with Strix themself... well, they won't like it, but they're a big kid, they can stand up for themself. But if you mess with their friends or their family, the people they love, that's what really bugs them. They're strongly, fiercely concerned about the wellbeing of those people, and they'll go to just about any length to make sure those they care about are alright. Compartmentalizing: That's that, and this is this. Strix is good at not letting how they feel about one thing bleed into how they feel about other things; they can take a deep breath and brush it all off until later, if working through it or really feeling it right now would be a problem. Objectivity is important, right? Can't get too distracted. That's that, and this is this. Realistic: Not one to get carried off on flights of fancy, Strix sees things as they are, not how they'd like things to be. They're good at approaching things reasonably and not getting too disappointed if it doesn't work out - it was a long shot, after all. Given this, they're not usually prone to being too upset over outcomes, especially when it comes down to long shots: sure, it'd be nice to win the lottery, someone does every day... but the odds it's going to be them are sub-zero, basically.
Flaws: Angry: Strix has anger issues, and it it's running under their skin like a livewire, impossible to stop. When Strix gets angry, they don't run hot, they get cold; they calculate without heed to empathy or real consequence, only cruelty. And everything makes them angry, really, everything frustrates them and leaves them rocking on their heels with stifled movement. Is it any wonder how badly they blow up, how cruel the things they say are, when they can't stifle it anymore? Harsh: It's not exactly 'ruthless', but it is what it is - Strix is capable of making mean, cutting, practical decisions with no empathy involved, and being nice to other people has never come as naturally to them as it does to their siblings and cousins. In a family of generally empathetic people, their ability to do this singles them out. Their jokes, often, end up getting a little too mean to be in good taste. Compartmentalizing: If it's awful, if it's unpleasant, Strix doesn't want to feel it. If it'd make them act cruel or it'd be a problem, Strix doesn't want to feel it. And Strix is very, very good at boxing up those feelings and shoving them into the back of their mind, and just... neglecting to ever actually deal with them, until they build up so badly that they get to bursting, or until someone asks a pointed question and suddenly everything breaks open at once. Pessimistic: Strix got sick, when they were fourteen. Like - really sick. Sick enough they didn't know if they were going to live to adulthood. And although they've mostly recovered from that these days, it left them with an unshakable sense of pessimism; the world isn't fair, bad things happen all the time, why would something good ever happen? Nothing good ever happens. Just get used to it, and being surprised by bad things hurts less that way.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Eyes: #ff007b Hair: Cool black. Messy three-segment bangs, white headband, roughly shoulder/clavicle-length. Looks like they don't brush their hair. A little wavy, around 2A/2B. Face: Round face, wideish nose, a spray of freckles across the center of their face. Perpetually looks a little annoyed. Skin Tone: Light tan, see references. Body Type: Strix is 5'4.5" (they say 5'5") and stocky-built, athletic. Clothes: Strix tends towards a specific sort of casual, although what it is varies on their level of self-confidence that day; on their best days they're in crop top sweaters and cargo pants, counterbalanced shape and layer. On most days they just wear a t-shirt, a green flannel over top, and cargo pants. Strix struggles with severe audio sensitivity & is easily overwhelmed by noises; they typically wear over-ear headphones when in public and have a few pairs they rotate through.

Senshi: Corrupt Sailor Pax, Senshi of ReverberationChallenges:1. Listen for the echo. 2. Get loud.Uniform Color: Main Color: Monochrome spectrum, staticky / white noise accent pattern Secondary Color: #ff007bUniform: See concept. Attacks: Sailor Scout Attack: Pax Reverberation! Pax incants their attack and touches a target. For the next 30 seconds, all noises the target hears and vibrations they experience will begin reverberating within the target, as if their body was a tuning fork; if the target is unable to hear noises, vibrations will suffice. This is painful, disorienting, and makes distinguishing outside noise difficult; it may also cause temporary loss of some proprioception. At player discretion, this attack may result in lingering deep-tissue pain and tinnitus. This attack lasts for 30 seconds and has 3 uses. Super Sailor Scout Attack: Pax Resonance! Pax incants their attack and touches a target. For the next 35 seconds, all noises the target hears and vibrations they experience will begin reverberating within the target's bones, as if their body was a tuning fork; if the target is unable to hear noises, vibrations will suffice. This is painful, severely disorienting, and makes distinguishing outside noise over the reverberations extremely difficult; it may also cause temporary loss of some proprioception. At player discretion, this attack may result in lingering deep-tissue pain and severe tinnitus. This attack lasts for 35 seconds and has 2 uses. Eternal Sailor Attack: Resonant Echo! Pax selects a target within eyeshot and resonates with their power, temporarily echoing their abilities * up to third-level; while this magic is active, Pax's appearance is overlaid by an illusion that makes them appear to take on visual traits of their target. After activating this magic, Pax may pick a single active ability of the target they have seen used this scene and "echo" it for one use, performing their own copy of the magic for up to 60 seconds, but not for longer than the approved duration of the original magic. (If the target does not have active magical abilities, Pax instead gains a staticky copy of their weapon.) Regardless of magic used, the other copied abilities last for the full 60-second duration.( *Abilities is considered to include basic faction boosts, some observed abilities, and any innate knowledge needed to use the echoed magic/weapon.) The strength of this echo depends on how long the magic has been active: the closer it is to the 60-second limit, the more the magical reverberations of the echo begin to fade. This attack can be used once per scene.
