Amsvartnir was enjoying his patrol. Things seemed mostly quiet (he hadn't encountered anything or anyone yet) and he loved that tonight, he mostly got to walk around and just... think about stuff. He kept an eye out for the weird stuff, of course, you couldn't really not do that in Destiny City, but it was nice to just enjoy a walk at night for the most part instead of dealing with fights. He hated how old and weary he felt, and he wasn't even old enough to legally drink alcohol yet. So much had happened in his incredibly short life. ...Damnit. Speak of the devil and he shall appear. A Chaos aura popped up on his radar and he sighed heavily, turning and making his way to it while gripping his cane tightly. He had to go take care of this.

Cleeia very much did not want a confrontation. He was still feeling desperately confused over everything with Gelria, and Michel had left him shaken, terrified, and in a very, very bad way. He honestly felt as if he shouldn't be out at all, attempting to do anything magical, butt he thought of bringing consequences down on himself or his sister felt...miserable.
He was right back where he'd been before the battle on the hill--confused, disoriented, and lost, and the feel of an Order aura nearby had his back straight, his shoulders tense, and his hand raised to fling off his magic.
"I don't want to fight you," Cleeia said, and he had to force his voice not to tremble, "but I will if you make me. So don't make me."

Well. That was a big relief. G-d knew he didn't want to fight. Relaxing, he set his cane on the ground and leaned on it. Using it as an actual cane felt weird, but it was better than swinging it around like a baseball bat. "I don't want to fight either. I've been having a pretty good night for once," he said with a soft laugh, smiling gently at Cleeia. "How about you?"

As soon as Amsvartnir said he wouldn't be fighting, Cleeia's entire body visibly relaxed.
"Oh, good," he said, and he perked up a bit. "I--well, this is better than the last few nights I've had, anyway. No falling in weird magic ice or getting battered around by strange Knights looking for Negaverse Senshi I've never heard of, so we're already off to a better start than I could have expected?"
The fact that his bar was so low was desperately depressing.
"Uh. I'm Cleeia. You?"

"Weird magic ice? Gee," he said, frowning a bit, "I better keep a lookout." He hummed in appreciation. "I'm Amsvartnir. Nice to meet you, Cleeia. Can you—or, well, would you be comfortable telling me more about this Knight beating you up over some Senshi?" he asked, frowning again in concern, "I don't like unprovoked attacks."

"Yeah, um. Be extra careful around black ice, right now--I stepped on some without noticing and ended up nearly drowning." Cleeia sighed, tiredly, and looked around for somewhere to sit, spotting a little half-wall that he could plop down on.
"As for the Knight--" Cleeia wrapped his arms around himself, shivering. "It was awful. He found me while I was trapped in some strange, sticky snow, and he just....beat me. Into the ground. I think I'm lucky I lived."
It had been awful. Miserable. Painful. Cleeia never wanted to repeat the experience.

Amsvartnir couldn't help it. He bared his teeth, growling under his breath as he gripped his staff hard. "If you find out who did it... Feel free to find me and tell me," he said tightly, "I'll make sure to give him a piece of my mind. That is not how we're supposed to operate." He was just so disgusted. He spat on the ground, away from Cleeia, imagining it was whatever knight had no honor he was hitting instead, and inhaled deeply. Calm. "I'm glad you're alright now, though," he said softly, body relaxing as he joined Cleeia on the half-wall, lifting a foot up so he could rest his arm over his skyward knee. His wisp showed up, sensing the calm atmosphere, and burbled, floating over to Cleeia and making a happy sort of squeal noise as it bobbed around Cleeia's head. "Heh. He likes you."

Cleeia nodded. "It's...he said he was looking for someone, and that he's been sending messages. So maybe someone else would know, but I was so scared I don't think I'd remember if he had told me."
At least this Squire seemed reasonable. He wasn't making threats, or anything.
"And it's not all bad. One of your Senshi in white helped me out after I feel in the ice, so. You know. Mixed messages all around." He shrugged his shoulders, like ti didn't bother him, even though it totally did.
"Anyway, yeah, I'm good now, and..." His eyes went wide when he saw the little glowing wisp, and he let out a soft, stunned gasp.
"What--who--is this?"

Amsvartnir smiled softly. Good. This kid seemed so... so much like someone who didn't deserve to be in the hell that was the Negaverse. Ams really wanted to help him, and the wisp gave him the perfect opportunity. As if reading his mind, the wisp burbled again and came closer, making a whining noise. "Heh, yeah, but I think most of us aren't like that. I don't know what's gotten into that guy, but someone's gonna have to set him straight." Inhaling deeply, he nodded to the wisp. "You can pet him, if you like. He's needy. And, uh... his name is Loki." He shook his head. "I've been thinkin of changing it though. I named him that because... Well... I used to be Thorite." He sighed. "I know the Negaverse says to kill traitors, but I'd appreciate it if you didn't give it a shot tonight, if you feel strongly about it. Anyway, I want to rename him because I... I want to distance myself from who I used to be. It was awful, y'know? Course you know, you're wearing black." He snorted at himself.

Cleeia shook his head. "I'm glad to hear that. I know this is a war and all, but surely there's no call for that kind of nonsense against someone who's never done anything."
Alright. Drained energy, participated in the battle on the hill, generally fed the Negaverse machine, but all that was paltry. And anyway, it wasn't exactly a ringing endorsement of his innocence that he was seeking any information he could find about the "Lysithea" Michel sought, so he could bring him as thorough an investigation as possible.
He did reach up to pet the little wisp, but his lips downturned at what the Squire said.
"If that's what you need to do, it'd make sense. But for me, no, actually, I don't know. I've had a perfectly good time in the Negaverse," Cleeia said, shrugging his shoulders. "Most of the time, when people aren't assaulting me for no reason. But I suppose we all have to make our own choices."
He glanced over, trying to pretend he wasn't interested in knowing what he might learn.
"I saw someone turn traitor to the Negaverse once, anyway, and it didn't seem to end well."
Well, truth be told, Cleeia had missed most of the show, but he was assuming from the blood on the ground and the unconscious Princess that things hadn't exactly gone according to plan.

Amsvartnir just nodded, watching as Loki the wisp burbled in concern and went to snuggle up under Cleeia's chin. Cute. "...The hill. The terrible fight on the hill, yeah?" he asked quietly, assuming he was right. "I... That poor guy getting beheaded..." He touched his own neck. "But, like, that guy kinda did do it in the middle of the biggest battle of the century, probably. At least I snuck out." He smiled a bit. "Found someone from the Order and asked for help in the dead of the night. And now I get to display how gay I am with all these rainbows! Way better than all that black." He hesitated. "Listen. If you ever decide you're not having an okay time? Feel free to come find me," he offered, "I know a few people who could help you, if you chose to do that. And if you don't, well. We still don't have to fight. We can just talk."

"Yeah, that fight on the hill," Cleeia acknowledged. He'd had fun there, reveled in the violence and the bloodshed. He was pretty sure that meant he was best suited to stay exactly where he was, and so far, nothing told him he should do anything different. Except that the possibility existed.
He wondered what Michel would think, if she showed up one day in white. It would certainly be an experience, of that he could be sure.
Still, the joke about rainbows made him laugh. "I dunno, I think black and gold looks great on me."
He stood up, and gave a brief nod. "I'll come find you if things change. But...I don't expect them to, so don't hold your breath."
He gave a brief little wave, and started walking off. It was dangerous to hang out here too long; someone might catch him, and then all the intentions in the world wouldn't matter. How frustrating.
