Quote: Prompt 5 (Ice Bath): Rainfall is rare in Destiny City during Winter; there have been a few light showers between the occasional snow but it’s never been enough to be significant. In some places, it’s just enough for a thin layer of ice to cover the ground and make it a little slippery, but ultimately it’s not enough to worry about. In an inconspicuous place in town, you step into one of these icy puddles and the thin layer of ice shatters. The hole itself seems maybe three feet wide and if you’ve ever been in the area before you know it’s just a pothole a few inches deep at most. Except, when the ice shatters, you fall, plummeting into it as if it were a lake of icy water. It’s pitch black around you and only pale blue lights shimmer above you. The darkness is never ending and you can’t make out the details of anything except the shrinking hole above you. Maybe you remember how to swim and pull yourself out, maybe you black out and feel someone else pulling you out--either way, your frozen, soaking body is pulled from the puddle. The chill is immense, but if you look at the hole after being pulled out, all you can see is the ground below. There’s no sign that what you just experienced is real--except for the fact that you’re still soaking wet.

Linnaeite had been relieved when her sister had returned to the UK and she had been permitted to go with her - and whilst she had been vaguely aware that her sister was involved in something to do with the Negaverse, Linnae had at least been able to pretend
Pretend that things were normal. Pretend that there was no such thing as magic and the Negaverse. Pretend that her own sister hadn't stuck her hand in her chest and then when that hadn't worked arranged for her to be–
Brought in.
Inducted.
But Linnae could still remember the pain, remember the way how her eyes had pricked with tears and how the pain had washed through her, a cold that was bone cold, even as it had shaped her and turned her into Linnaeite–
However, with them both in the UK, things had been normal. She had been Harriet rather than Linnaeite or (as she privately liked to call herself) Linnae and had only had to really focus on her classes and hanging out with her friends - and from time to time showing up at some of her mother's parties.
Ashley was there too, well at least kind of, but Harriet knew better than to pry–
And truth be told she didn't want to pry, at least not when it came to whatever Ashley or rather Reinerite was doing for the Negaverse.
But then one day Ashley had told her that she was going back to the US, to Destiny City and that Harriet would have to come with her - and whilst Harriet hadn't wanted to, she wasn't given much of a choice - even if the official excuse that both she and Ashley had given to her parents was that she wanted to spend some time travelling in the States now that she had finished her degree.
Which was how she had come to be back in Destiny City, back in absolutely the last place she wanted to be.
Linnae shook her head slightly, causing the long mass of curled blue hair to drip water as she trudged down an alleyway that she wouldn't have been seen dead in had she been Harriet.
Ashley or rather Reinerite had told her that she needed to work her quota, the 'suggestion' couched as an order from General to Basic senshi, but the earlier rainfall had made for a truly miserable evening–
Especially as Linnae had managed to find and get herself dunked into the only ice puddle around - or at least that was how it felt.
So now she was bedraggled and dripping a puddle of what felt like all the water, and whilst she wanted to go home - as in really, really wanted to go home - Linnae still had to find enough people to drain energy from in order to make her quota.
An aura flared, close enough to perhaps be a warning - but whilst Linnae had been told about auras, they weren't something that she had really had much experience with. Kyuseisha no Hikari Hope this works as a start Kyu, lmk if I need to tweak anything

Where Linnaeite was lacking in experience with energy signatures, Michel was relying on them. He’d felt the Corrupted Senshi but hadn’t seen her before he saw her dragging herself out of that puddle.
He didn’t know if it was her own bad luck or some magic gone wrong, but her misfortune worked in his favor. Maybe she was too distracted by the chill to properly feel him coming, or maybe he just moved quickly enough that she didn’t have time to call for help.
She was weak, only a basic senshi, and she didn’t seem like she had any sort of communicator out. He wasn’t worried about backup.
Michel wasn’t worried about anything.
He was in front of her only seconds after he pinpointed where she was, and he grabbed the front of her uniform in both hands and slammed her against the wall. Hard enough to hurt, not hard enough to disorient her. He needed her able to think, able to answer.
Every movement, every gesture, spoke of an unstable amalgamation of hatred and desperation. His lip twitched into a sneer and his eyes narrowed at her like she was something disgusting. His grip was firm and his voice was cold.
“You know, I’m getting real sick of all of you popping up like this. I must have found every Senshi swallowed up by the Negaverse except for the one I’m looking for.”
He lifted her a few inches off the ground and pressed her into the wall. “So you’re going to tell me what you know about Lysithea, and if you’ve got a good answer I might think twice about putting you back under the water.”
litian It's perfect! Please let me know if this is okay!

As it happened a combination of inexperience with auras intermixed with her general misery at being cold and downright sodden meant that Linnaeite was distracted - although truthfully, even without the added distraction of the puddle her general inexperience meant that it probably wouldn't have made much difference–
But there was the distraction of the puddle and it meant that Linnae was completely unaware, one moment shivering as she looked at the sodden and suddenly very heavy mass of hair dripping sadly downwards and the next staring with wide grey eyes as a blur suddenly appeared in front of her.
No.
Not a blur.
A person!
The thought jarring into her head forcefully as her back slammed against the wall, tears pricking at her eyes at the pain.
The person was garbed in purples trimmed with gold and eyes that were so very, very cold that stared at her as if she was dirt.
No. Less than dirt.
Linnae shivered, in part from the cold, in part from the look. No make that mostly from the look, those eyes making her feel small and insignificant.
Just who was this man, because Linnae could honestly say that she had never seen him before in her life–
"I.." And it came out as a half-croak, her body trembling even as he pressed her even more firmly into the unyielding wall "I have no idea what you're talking about."
And it was probably the wrong answer for all that it was the truth - because she had no idea of who this Lysithea person that he was asking - no make that demanding that she tell him about was.

Michel’s lip twitched but he didn’t release her. “Figured you’d say as much.”
He pushed her harder, not just to hold her in place but to make her hurt. “Maybe someone above you does. You’ve got a Captain, yeah? Or a General that you report to?”
She must have, he knew how the Negaverse hierarchy worked.
“You’re going to tell them that I want her back. This is non-negotiable. Unless her life is more important than yours, but.”
He lifted Linnaeite a bit more so he could see her face better, but he never eased up on the pressure. “Although, I’m not thinking you’re really important to anyone. If you were, they wouldn’t have you out here alone. If you don’t know the Senshi of Unicorns, how about a General? Always on fire?”
He knew little of Faustite, except that Lysithea and Malus had once tried to befriend him, and from what he’d pieced together from the night they took Lysithea, he was responsible. And, even if he wasn’t, Michel still had words for him.
“You’ve gotta give me something to work with.”
She was only a basic senshi, he knew she wasn’t going to be on top of much. She probably didn’t have much sway or power at all, anyway.
…But if they weren’t going to give her Lysithea, he’d just start picking off the lower ranked Senshi. They couldn’t make an army if he took all their pawns.

"I..." Linnae said in answer to the other's question and it came out as more of another half croak.
A pause, brief but there and then she tried again "I.. Uh... Yes" because whilst she currently reported to her sister, it was kind of complicated–
Namely down to the fact that her sister had told her that she was going to find her another general to report to now that the two of them were in Destiny City.
Her shoulders started to slump slightly, despite the other's grip on her - because whilst her sister had said something about wanting to avoid nepotism, Linnae knew that the real reason was because her sister saw as a burden - after her sister - or rather the stranger wearing her sister's face - had right out up and admitted that–
Although it hadn't stopped her from going ahead forcing said choice on her anyway.
A pained sound escaped her lips as her back was forced even harder into the unyielding wall, hard enough that she found herself wondering if she was going to end up with bruises post the encounter.
Her grey eyes looked fearfully up at the blond "I.." her voice trailed off for just a moment - brief, barely there "I don't know anyone who is always on fire" after all how would that even work? Even with magic it just plain didn't make sense - even to her.
"But I can tell them that you want Lysithea back."
Not that she knew who he was, or who Lysithea was or even who she was supposed to be even telling–
Although that didn't matter too much either - because Linnae doubted that anyone would listen to her.
She tried to wriggle, the attempt feeble - but she tried nonetheless–
Because the scary blond was 'scary' with a capital 'S' and as her mother would say clearly unstable.

She was afraid.
A part of Michel said good. A part of him knew this wasn’t her fault.
Anger won over, for the most part, but there was a small voice in the back of his head that made him pause for long enough to consider that he probably wasn’t going to get anything more out of her than he’d already managed.
“Fine. But if I don’t start seeing results soon, you’re not off the hook. I’ll find you. So you don’t get to stop looking for her just because you think you’re not going to run into me.”
He lowered her, not quite gently, but without enough force to hurt her.
“Keep your eyes open for her, or the General I’m looking for. Go on, get out of here. Before I change my mind.”
He took a step back and gestured, giving her a clear path away from him.

Wait...? The General? Linnae had thought that she was just supposed to be telling someone that the blond wanted Lysithea back, not also trying to find a General that was supposedly always on fire.
Not that she was any closer to having any real idea just who she was supposed to tell about the blond wanting this Lysithea person back - but at least that seemed somewhat doable given that Linnae guessed she could kind of, sort of, tell her sister for all the good that it would do–
But whilst someone being always on fire was something that was probably very noticeable if true. The key part was if it was even true - and even then Linnae had no idea where she would even start trying to find such a person.
She left her thoughts unspoken, instead nodding jerkily at the blond before taking first one step and then another backwards in an attempt to put some distance between them as she breathed out the words of her senshi magic.
"Vestigia quae est in Sprite!"
Holding on to the orb of sphere of swirling air that formed, Linnae stayed for long enough for her magic to take effect, all the while hoping that the blond wouldn't changed his mind and go after her again–
And then in a clatter of jerky, stumbling footsteps she turned and ran.Quote: Vestigia quae est in SpriteSailor Arduina calls on her magic which takes the form of a glowing, ethereal sphere of swirling air which she can either keep for herself or send towards (or give to) an ally. She has a few seconds to make a decision and do this before the magic takes effect, denoted by the target (either Arduina or the ally) glowing briefly. Magical effect: The magic will gift the target with the grace and swiftness of foot of a sprite (for a boost of 10%) for the duration of the attack. Target: self or 1 ally Duration: 15 seconds Usage: Three times Drawback: If Arduina sends the magic towards an ally and it is somehow intercepted by someone else then it will give that person the boost instead xxxKyuseisha no Hikari Fin - thank you for the rp <3
