Hobbies:
Baking: The science behind baking is what drew him to it at first. Then he got... really good at decorating. It's always just a hobby, but he tends to bake things nearly every weekend for himself and his office. Cakes are what he loves, but he'll give anything a try -- Even TikTok recipes.

Walking: He walks every morning and every evening. He takes his Rottweiler, Bug, with him. Sometimes he'll join a dog walking group where he'll let Bug play, but most of the time he likes to just walk by himself. If he's not walking Bug, he's just taking in his surroundings, taking time to just enjoy nature.

Virtues:
-- Sociable - Standing in line at the supermarket, Mateo's one to strike up a conversation. He's comfortable around new people and thrives in group settings. He's capable of managing multiple conversations at once and always seems approachable. He appears so open that there are times when someone is trying to get out of a situation, and Mateo just goes along with it to make sure they are going to be alright.

-- Energetic - Always seeming to be on the go. Always seems ready to do anything, really. The kind of guy you can count on to add to the fun instead of just going with the flow. He enjoys keeping a positive, upbeat mood and thrives on sharing physical comedy to bring some of that energy to those around him. He always gives everything his best effort, and he always seems to have the energy to share. He can even take low-energy situations, like an early morning shift, and try to boost the mood to keep everyone else going.

-- Respectful - Being taught from a young age to respect the world and the people within it. He respects authority and the elderly especially and believes that they are the foundation of a good community. His good deeds are their own reward. He is considerate and compassionate to everyone around him and believes that everyone deserves at least basic respect. He wants to make sure everyone is treated with value and purpose and goes out of his way to help those less fortunate than him.


Flaws:
-- Shallow - "Mateo why do you like this dude??" "Oh, because he's pretty." With all that he is respectful, Mateo loves a pretty face. His close friends all know his type by now. He's all about the drama and gossip within any group he's in. It's very, very hard to have a deep conversation with him. He befriends people if he thinks they would benefit him in some way, be it expanding his inner circle, or even just to replace one of his 'ugly' friends that's already getting exiled from his group.

-- Reactive - It doesn't take much to make Mateo's mood tank. When he feels the littlest bit slighted, he reacts explosively. Often leading him to insult/lash out verbally with words he doesn't even mean later. It's not always verbal. If someone cuts him off while he's driving down the street, he is 100% the person to cut that person off and brake check them before speeding off again.

-- Two-faced: Shallow does go hand-in-hand with being two-faced. Mateo does tend to be very respectful to one's face, but if he doesn't like you, does talk about you with his friend circle in a way that's not nice at all. He talks about his friends behind their back too, if he starts getting really annoyed with them. It isn't just gossip. Mateo has a bad habit of saying yes, he'll do something, only to not do it because he didn't really want to to begin with.
