Yumi stretched herself out as she rounded a corner. It wasn't often she went out without Kepler, but something told her she needed to be out. Kepler was staying in. So out she went, back to the park. A lot of vulnerable people were at the park at night, and she wanted to make sure they were protected! It was her duty, after all.

Humming Christmas carols to herself, Yumi padded through the soft, fresh snow and then let her ears flick as that tingle of another energy hit her. She purred, knowing it was an order energy and then went darting along her path, trying to figure out who it was. That's when she spotted the gray Mauvian in the distance and her eyes lit up.

"Helloooo!" she called, giggling as she bounded over, stopping a bit in the other cat's path. "Hello there! Beautiful night, isn't it?"

Tama. Tama was a nice name. Yumi beamed brightly at him and just shifted from paw to paw.

"I'm Yumi. It's quite a pleasure to meet another Mauvian. I haven't met too many of us," she said matter-of-factly, even nodding at the end of her words to get her point across. A tiny sigh escaped her and she let out a little shiver and fluffed up a little.

"Getting colder though, isn't it?" She looked up at the sky again and then the trees before huffing. "Perhaps we can get off the ground, though. It is freezing."

She watched him leap up and park himself on a branch. It made Yumi laugh and she did it as well, though having to use her claws to get up there. She was a smaller Mauvian. With a tiny bit of effort, she huffed and then stretched herself out before letting her tail swing.

Something made her whiskers twitch and the fur on her back to prickle. "....Do you... Do you get the feeling we're being watched?" She asked Tama, trying to look around.

There, across the way, seemed there were a pair of eyes watching them, large and unblinking. Yumi cringed and lowered her ears, a little hiss escaping her before she knew what she was doing.

"There, in the tree over there. Is that a youma?!" Fighting a youma without a senshi wasn't the easiest thing for a cat, but she would be protecting innocent creatures tonight.

"Tama, we have to do something!"

She bristled more and growled before looking back to Tama. "We have to chase it off! Make sure it won't attack anyone either way. I don't trust it!" Yumi's blue eyes narrowed on the owl but she was determined to protect the humans of earth! Even if it wasn't a Youma.

Yumi made her way to the owl, growling and launched herself at it. The owl, however, took off, missing her claws as it went higher and higher, circling the two cats.

"Be careful, Tama!" She landed on a branch instead falling to the snow, clinging to it hard as she could. This bird wasn't going to get away so easily. Her ears pinned back against her head as her fur bristled again.

RIGHT. She kept forgetting about her star beam.

"Got it!" Yumi scrambled, getting to a branch to better brace herself when they did this. The branch she got to was thicker, so it wasn't as tricky to hold onto. "Come up here, Tama! We'll get it from here."

The bird was circling higher, eyes still locked on the cats. With a might screech it started to dive at them.

It was diving them as Tama counted down, but she was listening. Bracing herself again, Yumi waited, nerves buzzing just under her skin. As her fur bristled, she unleashed her beam at the bird as well.

The pair of beams hit the owl and it let out a screech before missing them, swooping low and then back up. It circled them again, screeching it's displeasure before flying away.

"HA!" Yumi said, watching the bird leave higher and higher in the sky. "Take that, bird! Don't come back."
