WINTER HOLIDAY: CONCEPT CONTESTIn the Name of the Moon is full of creative players who spend their time and energy to share their characters with us and enhance our roleplay experience. To celebrate that creativity, we are hosting a Concept Contest for all character types (excluding locked, defunct, or meta factions). All players are invited to enter; this contest will be judged by members of staff. Please read the full post before working on an entry!
Players can quest for common questable characters or rare characters (including newly released Moon Knights and Deep Space Senshi). Character Cap Limits are waived for this Concept Contest, but any player who wins a character will still add points to their total tally. This is the only time in the foreseeable future the cap will be raised, and it is raised exclusively to correspond with the introduction of Moon Knights and Deep Space Senshi.
Players can quest for any character type but must meet requirements to quest for rare characters. To quest for a rare character, you must be able to link to five roleplays you have tagged in the past three months or have at least one third stage character you can link to.
This contest will close at 8AM EST Monday, December 27th; at that point in time, entries will be closed and and staff will begin to vote on a winner. Players can enter one submission, and should PM it to The Space Cauldron. The PM should be titled 'Concept Contest'. At least one winner will be chosen for free templated art of their character; this art will be a collaboration between several members of our staff.

Information and FormAll entries should use the appropriate form. Players should read through the questing handbook to make sure their characters meet guidelines; characters who do not appear to need heavy revisions for approval will be the most eligible. However, this Concept Contests will be judged partially from the profile and partially from the backstory and proposed future plots for the character. Players should write no more than 500 words to outline their backstory, and no more than 500 words words to outline their proposed future plots.
Contest entries require the profile to be completely filled out; you do not need to fill in the optional sections of the form, but you should complete the to be completed, but they do need to outline the character’s civilian name, hobbies, virtues and flaws, and any information that would be relevant to establishing them as a character in regards to their backstory (such as friends or family).

In addition to the completed character quest, you will also need to fill out the below form to send in with your quest:
[b]Backstory[/b]: (Please write up to 500 words to describe where your character comes from and how they have gotten to this point. All powered characters must be newly awakening or have awakened within the past two weeks with the exception of Deep Space Senshi, who have different rules)
[b]Future Plots[/b]: (Please write up to 500 words for what you would like to see this character doing if you brought them into play. This can be civilian goals or powered goals, but should outline what you'd like to do with them)
[b]Other Information[/b]: (Please share any additional information that you feel is relevant to the character, their backstory, or that might set them apart as unique characters; this section is completely optional, but please do not write more than 500 words)
Winning Procedures
When the winning entry is selected, the player will have two weeks to get the completed quest up for stamping. The character must be stamped before they can be ICly played; artists will not begin the art until the character is stamped. The winners will be announced before the raffle is rolled; players can only win one character during the event, so if you win the Concept Contest you cannot also win a character from the raffle. However, you will still be eligible to win non-arted prizes from the raffle.
If the winning player is unable to post a completed quest for a stamp within two weeks, they forfeit their win and another character will be selected instead. Please pay attention to deadlines so you don't miss out!

Thank you to everyone who entered our Concept Contest!We had some really great entries and thanks to our wonderful artists, we were able to select three winners from our entries! Congratulations to Seiana_ZI (Sailor Ibirapitá, Deep Space Senshi of Shade), tatterpixie (Spei, Page of the Moon), and cibarium (Sailor Taiyi, Deep Space Senshi of Xylem)! You will need to post your quests for stamping approval within the next two weeks or you forfeit your slot! Players who won the Concept Contest cannot win another piece of art in our Winter Holiday Event Raffle. Once a concept is stamped, an artist will reach out to begin the art! If you didn’t win, please don’t be discouraged! There will be future events where you will have a chance to bring your character into play! Players who entered the Concept Contest and didn’t win can PM the mule if they would like feedback on their concepts!
