Gathering energy was a pain. It was also something Lionel wasn't exactly invested in; there was so much of it to do, so often, and it was all going towards a machine that wanted to grind people like Guinevere up and spit them out.
And the worst part was what happened when people in white caught you doing it. They couldn't all be like Helena, who had been perfectly polite once they'd gotten past the initial shoving match, or Hati, who had clearly felt bad about the whole thing.
No, that was the exception, not the rule. So here he was, carefully setting down his draining victim, and praying that the power signature he could feel nearby did not decide to come ******** with him.

The power signature he felt nearby decided to come ******** with him.
Michel was already in a sour mood from spending weeks looking for Cambria. He’d made no progress, he had nothing to show for it. No information, no leads. No her.
Needless to say, he was tired of ******** around. He could sense the energy of a Basic Corrupted Senshi and--good. They couldn’t teleport away.
He had a newfound hatred for Corrupted Senshi because he’d lost Lysithea to them, so regardless of ration or reason, he hated Lionel before he ever laid eyes on him.
It didn’t take long to find him. It didn’t take long to cross the distance between them.
It didn’t take long to grab a fistful of hair and twist his hand into it to make sure he stayed in place.
Michel wasn’t gentle when he yanked him up by his hair and shoved him backwards against the nearest tree. He shoved one hand at his chest to keep him evenly pinned and kept a grip on his hair. He was waiting for the Senshi to kick him, to try and cast his magic. A part of Michel wanted him to.
He wanted an excuse to really hurt him.
Michel didn’t introduce himself; he didn’t care enough about manners to be polite. “I’ve got some questions for you. If you answer, you get to live. If you don’t, I send your corpse back to the Negaverse with my questions carved into your chest. Tell me you understand.”
It wasn’t a question, it was a command. He didn’t want to waste any more time.

Lionel did not consider himself a brave man. Quite the opposite, if he was honest; his first and foremost concern was basically always his own life and his own safety. At no moment was that more true or obvious than when he was being pinned to a tree and threatened, and fear adrenaline coursed through him like electricity.
Especially since he was being flung around by someone much stronger than him, magically--he wasn't exactly a small or unfit dude, by any means, but physicality couldn't always overcome magical strength disparities, and Lionel was not, at this moment, inclined to try.
"Okay," he put up his hands, in a gesture of surrender, "okay, what do you want to know?"
Better to give over what he could, and live to see another day.

Michel didn’t trust a surrender; he held Lionel still but loosened his grip, just slightly, as a show of good faith.
“I want to know how many Senshi you know. I’m looking for one in particular. She'd be new to the Negaverse, only came in earlier this month.”
He didn’t list names, not yet. He wanted straight answers, not someone telling him what he wanted to hear. “I want to know what the Negaverse is doing with the rest of their new recruits. Or any of the ones that were taken by force.”
Patience was not his strong suit, but he couldn’t just leave a trail of blood and expect Cambria to follow it back to him. He watched Lionel coldly, without any compassion or concern for his well-being. He should be happier that he might get his answers without a fight.
But then, he’d just have to come up with another excuse to have a fight.
