Arsenolite was a Captain now, and he had a grand mission to fulfill. He was better now, stronger now, and he didn't have to stress as much over some little uppity Order shits who were a step or two above him deciding he was worth their time. Granted, there were still people of the White Moon who could be two steps above him power-wise, but the chances of running into any one of them was extremely small. He didn't have to worry about that much, if at all.
He took a deep breath, feeling the cold, crisp air rush and scrape against his throat, sharp and harsh as it filled his lungs. Winter's bite was in the air. It certainly wasn't Jack Frost nipping at his nose; however, if Jack Frost /were/ real, Arsenolite thought that he would probably some kind of cute little twink he would /love/ to have roasting his chestnuts.
...Okay, yeah, that was a terrible joke even for him. He made a face at himself, grateful that nobody could read minds (that he knew of...) and cast the thought away, striding through the night with his bow at the ready.
All of his errant thoughts aside, he knew tonight was the night he'd finally get someone's starseed. There was nobody out to oppose him as far as he could feel aura-wise. Good. His responsibilities had increased when he was promoted to Captain (by the Queen herself, no less!), and it was embarrassing being a Captain with no starseeds to his name.
He prowled the streets, sticking to the shadows where he could. He would get a starseed tonight.
Grinning sharply as he spotted the person he was looking for alone, he aimed an arrow at the streetlight they stood under, like it gave them any sort of protection against the creatures of the night like himself. Okay, so, he wasn't technically a creature like his half-youma brethren, but he was still a formidable opponent. Someone who shouldn't be underestimated.
He breathed out slowly and launched the arrow, hitting the light dead on and shattering it. The civilian yelped and scrambled to get out of the way of the falling bits of broken glass, running their hands through their hair and over their clothes as they checked for injuries.
Nothing they'll have to worry about any time soon... Or ever again, Arsenolite thought to himself and stifled a snicker. It was uncouth to laugh at his own joke or some other s**t about manners that definitely didn't matter right now (or probably ever, in his opinion).
The civillian's eyes darted around in the dark as Arsenolite crept up on them, but they were clearly tired from a long day and never could've expected to get attacked like this. So methodically.
Within moments, Arsenolite was close enough to plunge his hand in their chest and take their starseed, watching the body crumple to the ground.
Perfect. No witnesses. Clean kill. And now there was one less real killer on the loose. He banished the starseed to subspace and relaxed, heading home. He needed to check on Monoceros, anyway.
