Vela was sitting on a park bench since she remembered negaverse agents and dark moon senshi often stalked the park looking for humans they could steal energy from she thought it was a good place to hang out and watch for trouble. She was pretty confident that she could find trouble if she looked hard enough. She still had her bonfire magic that hadn't changed, she had a new outfit and a new civilian name. Since she couldn't remember who she was before she was purified she was now Samatha Brand. It was still rather strange to her and she was still trying to get her life in order which wasn't easy.

She watched as some people walked along the dark paths of the park, she thought it silly that some were out this late but who was she to tell them they had to go home, at least she was here to protect them if someone did attack. She sighed and looked up at the leaves of the trees that had turned yellow, red, and orange they were rather pretty. She looked down at her outfit curious why she didn't feel cold it was a random thought about senshi in general.

DMS Sansuna

Another evening, another attempt at getting her mirror wraith to do her bidding. Sansuna was rather ambivalent about energy draining, but it was required in exchange for the powers she'd been gifted and it was ultimately innocuous, wasn't it? A painless nap for a few hours for the victim, and more power for Mirrorspace. The senshi even ensured that her victims were left in either a safe spot or found for assistance as if they'd had a fainting spell. Usually the former, letting too many people be found was a bit of an exposure risk.

Not that Moron, her aptly-named wraith, helped any. She'd gained some modicum of control over the thing, but it was still rather disobedient and tended to just rush forward over being subtle. Sure it was hard to see, but that didn't mean it was invisible. Shoddy work aside, the creature had managed to drain the target successfully: a businessman shuffling his way through the park to parts unknown. Poor guy probably needed the nap anyway.

Sansuna had just finished stuffing him safely into the branches of a convenient tree when she noticed it: a nearby aura. How had she missed that? It definitely didn't feel tinged with Chaos, which meant it was very potentially a meddling White Moon. The Dark Mirror recalled Moron and snapped her compact shut, dropping quietly back to the ground and striding confidently forward. Hiding wasn't really her style, after all.

Sure enough, there looked to be an Order senshi just seated on a bench, watching the passerby. Had to admire the methodology: get comfy and let those you're protecting wander past. Nice and efficient. But if Sansuna had sensed this woman, odds were she'd been detected herself.

"You look like you're enjoying yourself," the redhead said in a loud conversational tone. "You seem like my kind of White Moon, lounging and having a good time."

Vela stood up and smirked "Waiting to see what will happen and it looks like you decided not to disappoint me." She hadn't noticed the dark moon taking the energy from the man, she really needed to learn more about being a white moon senshi and sensing chaos. Vela noticed they both had hair that was shades of red, hers was more orange and she had not long ago been on the chaos side. "So why are you with the dark moon anyway?" She decided to ask. Vela had never chosen to side with chaos she had been awoken against her will. It was possible there were others who were the same and like her had no idea there were ways to find the light.

Sansuna grinned at the other woman's response. Feisty. Definitely her kind of senshi. She shrugged, placing her hands on her hips. She'd never before been asked so directly as to why she was a member of the Dark Mirror Court. No reason to lie, really, especially when she'd been asked so nicely.

"Why? Well, when you're beaten to within an inch of your life by superpowered jerks just because you happened across them ripping the starseed out of a hobo's chest, then you're given the opportunity to gain that same amount of power, well..."

The redhead swept her arms outward in a grandiose fashion, the glimmers of light dotted along her uniform twinkling like captured stars in the dim light.

"Couldn't really say no. I'll find them someday, but the irony that I now need to drain people to stop those guys isn't lost on me. No fatalities from me yet, just naps in trees."

Sansuna jerked a thumb over her shoulder in the general direction of her hapless businessman victim.

"Didn't know anything about White Moon, Chaos, or anything. The Dark Mirror Court was the only one that offered me a choice and I took it. What about you, Sunshine?"

Vela narrowed her eyes at the figure who was clearly an evil jerk who didn't care about the lives of others, she was glad she had gotten away from the darkness it was a terrible force that made the soul dark if you let it. She rubbed the back of her head confused she had thought they were talking about themselves. "Ok well huh.. I thought.. " She sighed "Factions are complicated." She laughed "Didn't get many choices at all, but hey who is to say." She was purposely vague. "Well want to battle anyway, test your fighting skills against mine?" She asked in a flippant tone. Vela had been through a lot, good and evil just the lines had been blurred many times.

Sansuna seemed to have confused the poor girl. At first she looked angry, then confused. Then she straight up asked for a fight. The Dark Mirror knew there had been something she liked about this White Moon. Forthrightness was always appreciated.

"Alright, you're on," the DMS retorted airily, flicking her ponytail over the shoulder and out of the way while she lowered herself into a ready stance. "Hope you're not like all the other fancy pants Order girl scouts and have powers that can actually put up a challenge. I keep coming across people who shoot bubbles or make you feel sad about stuff. Then they get punched with lightning."

Electricity flickered over Sansuna's knuckles as she spoke, the flickering light highlighting her eager grin in the dim environs of the park.

"Just try to keep up. Here we go!"

Before she'd even finished speaking, the Dark Mirror was in motion and quickly at her impressive top speed. She figured she'd test her opponent with a head-on assault, but that didn't mean she couldn't be a bit tricky. A moment before she reached Vela, Sansuna dropped into a slide along the ground, foot forward and out in an attempt to sweep her foe's legs out from under her.

Vela attempted to jump to dodge the attack, but her footing wasn't quite right and she fell to the ground and she frowned blushing embarrassed. She wasn't an experienced fighter and it was lucky for her this wasn't a real battle or she would have been in a lot of trouble and unlike the old stories of sailor moon, she didn't have a tuxedo mask to come to her rescue any time she got in over her head.

Sansuna skidded to a stop on the other side of Vela, hopping to her feet and dusting off her sparkly hakama to shake loose any clinging dirt. She was lucky senshi uniforms were a tad more durable than most clothing, otherwise she'd need to keep resummoning it during her battles with all of her rough antics. Her attack had connected more easily than she would have assumed, sending her opponent to the grass with an embarrassed look on the White Moon's features. The Dark Mirror almost felt sorry for her.

"Guess you don't have many people try to trip you eh?" the redhead questioned.

She was surprised this Order girl trusted her enough not to kick her while she was down, as there were no defensive moves from her exceedingly vulnerable position. To be fair, Sansuna wasn't even sure what she was supposed to do if she beat a White Moon in combat. Drag them back to the court to be converted or whatever? Didn't really interest her, and as a basic she couldn't mirrorwalk even if she wanted to.

"Whenever you're ready to keep going," she called, bringing her fists up in a ready stance.

Vela couldn't even say why she had decided to do this or why she was giving this dark moon senshi a pass, she most likely shouldn't. Then again she wasn't really sure what she would do if she could beat Sansuna she really needed to talk to other white moon members. She had been thrown into these worlds of light and dark and never really had much of a guide in what it was all about and why.

"I guess not, but since there is no telling if we will find ourselves on a real battlefield I guess I better learn." She said getting up. Vela copied Sansuna's stance and went at her again and attempted to get in a few good practice hits. She likely should do this sort of stuff with white moon members. Life was not a clear thing but what could she do besides her best to live her life.

Sansuna shrugged at Vela's response about learning to fight on a real battlefield. She was right, after all. It was either learn to defend yourself or be at the mercy of someone who did know how to hurt you. It was a lesson she'd learned very quickly after her first ill-fated encounter with those Negaverse agents in the alleyway behind the luchador ring, and the Dark Mirror already knew how to fight as a civilian. Unfortunately wrestling moves had little effect on people with super strength and speed.

Now that Sansuna herself had those same perks, though... She clenched a fist, bringing her forearms up to defend against some of Vela's blows while weaving away from others. She'd never be helpless like that again.

"If you want a free hot tip," she called, skipping back to create some distance between herself and Vela, "being fair and honorable are for the dead or the disgustingly strong. Do whatever it takes to win, you can wrestle with your morals after the fight. Case in point."

In a quick spin in place, the Dark Mirror senshi dipped and scooped a loose clod of dirt into her palm. Using her momentum, she flung the dirt in a dusty cloud toward Vela's face. At the same time, she crouched and launched forward at high speed, aiming a solid punch toward her foe's solar plexus.

Vela was hit in the face with the dust and then hit again and knocked to the ground. Since she couldn't move to dance she wouldn't be able to use her attack so she used her fist to strike out at the Dark Mirror. She wasn't sure what else to do at the moment. She had grasped the point this chaos member was saying you had to do whatever you had to do to win or you might die. She pushed to try to get them off her so she could get back to her feet a launch a magic attack, at this point she had forgotten this wasn't a real fight.

Sansuna was pleased to see that her underhanded tactic had worked, with her strike landing cleanly while the dirt obscured her foe's vision. It was clear the message had hit home, as the White Moon lashed out violently from the ground and flailed wildly. Always dangerous when they were like that. The Dark Mirror took a glancing blow to the shoulder and sprang back and away, wincing slightly.

"There you go, you can really hit when you want to. That might've really hurt if you'd been aiming rather than trying for the Hail Mary danger windmill thing."

Amusingly, Vela didn't look like she was much in the mood for conversational combat anymore. It looked like she was ready to punch Sansuna's lights out, if the static tingle of magic charging in the air was any indication. Being a senshi of lightning herself, the redhead usually had an inkling of when metaphysical attacks were on the way from the nuanced changes in the atmosphere.

"Good, maybe you're taking this seriously now."

Bright coils of energy danced across the Dark Mirror's knuckles while sparks crackled from the corners of her eyes.

"Suppose I should too. How else are you going to learn? Spoiler alert for the next lesson: fist incoming."

The lightning on Sansuna's hands flared into an approximation of a tiger's claw, hissing and crackling in the still air as the senshi crouched low. Her speed was still her greatest asset, and if Vela didn't get up quickly she'd find herself ill-prepared for this follow-up attack. With a small smirk and a scoff, Sansuna launched forward at an alarming pace to close the gap with her levin-wreathed fist held foremost.

"Flashing Strike!"

Vela was pretty sure at this point that she never should have trusted a chaos member as she moved quickly to dodge the attack and attempted to return fire with her dance of embers. Just because she had been awaked on the chaos side didn't mean that it was ok to just trust everyone. She was foolish and naive for even thinking about it, to begin with. She gritted her teeth and shouted out the dance of embers!! Letting the embers fall as they may and then attempting to knock her opponent off balance so she could get the upper hand in this fight.

Dance of embers

Vela dances around a bonfire bidding the flames to burn higher and higher embers flying into the air. The enemies the embers fall on receive the feeling of small stinging burns. (Lasts 30 sec. ) (Can be used twice per battle) 5 ft range. (Only feels like burning)

This chick was faster than Sansuna'd thought. Dodging a flashing strike? Not bad at all. Admittedly the Dark Mirror could move faster, but her magic was notably unstable. Going at top speed with something akin to a bomb strapped to your fist just sounded like a recipe for disaster.

Unfortunately, missing the blow put Sansuna in a wholly disadvantageous position. There was a lot of follow-through to her magical attack, and dodging any quick counters would be difficult at best. Bracing for a kick or something, the senshi was surprised to see sparks of flame go scattering all about like the petals of a brilliant crimson flower. There was no dodging them all at this range.

Stinging embers pricked at Sansuna's skin, causing her to scowl and skip away once she'd stopped skidding through the packed dirt. Patting a particularly annoying patch of magical flame out, she shook her head and tucked a loose lock of red hair back behind her ear.

"Well that's an irritating feeling, but I guess getting punched doesn't really feel any better. Suppose we're even now."

As she spoke, Sansuna looked about for anything she could use as a ranged weapon. She certainly wasn't about to go charging into a swirling mass of embers, that was for sure. She had to get Vela out of there if she was going to attack directly.

Her eyes fell on the trees all about them. She didn't much like the thought of mutilating one, but just one branch should grow back right? With a small jump and a swift kick to a thick low-hanging branch,Sansuna now found herself holding a rather hefty chunk of wood. Presumably, that little dance her opponent was doing fueled the magic, so...

"Here, catch!"

The Dark Mirror hurled the large branch as hard as she could, sending it spinning through the air like a weighty boomerang.

Vela wasn't expecting the large piece of wood to come flying at her so it ended up hitting her in the side. That was going to hurt later right now she was thinking she just needed to get away from this dark mirror character. She needed more training and practice and she needed to face that she couldn't just blindly trust anyone she met. If she didn't she was going to get herself killed. She took off hoping the dark mirror wouldn't follow her since she didn't even have a senshi phone yet to be able to call for help.

(Lol sorry if that is a little abrupt razz hope it's an alright ending XD )
