█ Primary Talent ▬ Aerial Acrobatics: Using the air current skillfully, she has found that she's able to fly in intricate patterns/sharp turns and the like through the air without much strain.

█ Other Talents ▬ Kestrel Calls: Due to practice and the bird she is, being raised with a mostly non-verbal family, they use their calls instead to blend in with the nature around them.
█ ▬ Aura Shockwave: A reactionary offensive technique utilizing aura as a shockwave and knocking things/people away from Kes up to 15-feet, upon first melee (physical or weapon) attack when hit. Though if happening it the air, it does push her back/sends her flying as well. After the first burst, it cannot be activated again until after a 4-posts rest.

█ ▬ Wind-Hoverer: For up to four posts, appearing to be hanging up to 60-feet in the air, Kestrel flies into and at the same speed as, the oncoming wind – the current of air passing over her wings provides the lift she needs; to maintain the lift, she extends the tips of her wings, and if the wind drops she will flap her wings to increase air movement.
*(To cope with the energy demands of hovering she includes tiny pauses, stretching her neck forwards to offset being blown backwards, while keeping her head in position.)

█ ▬ Overall, she's a practitioner of ayurnamat, she doesn't worry about events that cannot be changed but, will fight for what can be changed (putting her heart in it when she cares about it). That's not to say she doesn't have a serious side when she needs to be.

█ BACKGROUND ▬ Kestrel was third-born, just sixteen years before the falls of Vacuo and Atlas in the mountains between Vale and Vacuo, to is a small, and mostly solitary, Hover of bird-of-prey Faunus that assisted with others crossing through. Her life has been rather eventful with the occasional Nevermore and/or Lancer group vying for their home.
█ ▬ Having been told of the past, she knows her family was once nomadic for trading resources, before choosing to settle where they could protect the trade routes from Grimm in the mountains, taking traders to and from Vale and Vacuo.
█ ▬ When she was born, the first thing she saw was a large black splotch in blue sky before her world went dark; she lost her paternal grandparents that day, she was told. Being raised by her maternal grandmother and her parents equally.
█ ▬ Growing up, she would be raised with learning about wing-care, flying, respecting their elders, the significance of inked skin throughout her life; and her mother's' technique for hovering (as kestrels do) when her wings were ready (around age five). But, more importantly when she was big enough, how to fight when on the ground and in air; training with her two older siblings (about age nine). Though when Grimm came around, they would find safety in the mountains they called home.
█ ▬ As a chick, she and her siblings were taught that elders were wealth's of past knowledge, raised to be aware of "them that taught the next generation" their secrets to survival and therefore were to be respected for that reason. She and her siblings did indeed respect their sagely grandmother; not just for her knowledge, but she was a scary and sassy crone that didn't hesitate to smack someone with her cane if disrespected. They also learned that there were two reasons for inking ones skin.---1) for marking skin to commemorate public achievements (like a great hunt, successful mission, or a union); 2) Marking oneself as a reminder of Self achievements (one's courage over a fear, Finishing first flight, or expressing one's self to others).---
█ ▬ Preferring to remain neutral on Vacuo and Vale affairs alike, they were not unaware of the growing troubles and she even witnessed at a young age, the elders helping those from Vacuo to cross the mountains during this "fall" as she'd hear it be called, when she was one-year-old. Things had been very quiet other than her lessons from her family. Knowing that everything happened for a reason, she would grow up accepting the things like the three "Falls" as they were not things she could change, but would grow up with a drive to do what she can for her family and a curiosity of the inner cities of Vale.
█ ▬ In her sixth year of life, she would witness two births (her twin siblings), and it would be the same year that their elder sister would leave the flock, so-to-speak, in order to find her own path in life. Her elder brother would do the same when she was eight-years-old, though they would return during winter seasons. In that same year, she would earn the crescent rose moon to mark her first successful night flight under the Rose moon.
█ ▬ Following Atlas' Fall, she was about eleven-years-old and had in the months to follow, came across a strange yet interesting flock of avian faunus all their own; The Glazeworth Tribe. The Tribe did not stay more than a month or so before being on their way but, not before a certain Kookachuba left a drum (Bodhrán) with her as thanks as well as small thanks to the rest of her family members; sparking her love for the instrument. Her weapon she received from her father as a gift on her twelfth year and mirrored his own to defend herself when she went to explore more on her own.
█ ▬ Her first encounter with a Beowolf, she had been taken spear-fishing by her father for dinner when she was twelve-years-old. Rather than running like he told her to, she was frozen in her place. It had came fast and her aura (she assumed it was) reacted like a shockwave. Surprise from both sides, she ran after that if only to get her weapon. Her father was injured that day, but he killed the first, fighting off the second together. Though she'd always known and dealt with Grimm, it had never been directly. So, in that season, she was more determined to do something about the Grimm.
█ ▬ Talking with the grandmother, she would learn of others in the past called Fierce-wings; each with their own style but, who had similar ideas of weaponizing their auras around their wings. Fascinated by the ideas and growing up with flechette weapons, she would develop her semblance to what she wanted; Blade-wings. Having already been training with other small throwing blades, her semblance paired with her precision made her mother and father proud to have such a warrior-in-training in their flock; marking the achievement with the tattoo on her calf for the season it was created.
█ ▬ The young kestrel faunus would be keeping in the back of her mind the stories of the school for future hunts(wo)men, she had always pushed back the desire to go until she was of proper age. Telling her family of this idea when all gathered, she received their blessing. Her sixteenth year though, she injured herself in crash landing when flying through a storm to lose a lancer and decided to apply the next year to Beacon.

█ ▬ Made from strong metals, Hope is a spear with a colorful 2 feet long blade which unlatches to separate and reveal a barrel that produces a beam; depending on the dust used, that is what the effect will be.
█ Melee Form ▬ The spear blade measures about 2-feet in length and a 1 centimeter thick. The staff measures 1-inch girth and 6-feet in length; including dust shard insert for small dust.
█ Ranged Form ▬ This spear's blade separates/unhitches down the center to reveal a barrel in the shaft that shoots a beam at the max of 30 meters if unobstructed.

█ ▬ Blade wings is an offensive semblance that forms aura in the shape of her feathers from under each wing. The blade wings formed can then be used to project at chosen target(s) with a beat of her wings, whether she is on the ground (up to 50 feet uninterrupted) or while she's flying. If she doesn't project the aura feathers, she can use them in melee since they are layered under her wings (ex: cutting someone with a swing/movement of her wings when the semblance is active). As she levels up, the number of feathers she can create increases.
█ *Each feather/blade is 5 inches long and 2 inches wide.
█ *LEVEL 0 ▬ She can only create 10 aura feather blades per post. Lasts for 2 posts, rest for 2 posts.
