Agriculture -- Andreiya believes that the key to restoring any world lies in creating a sustainable world. He has taken up studying Earth’s agricultural practices and putting them into effect. Not only is he studying practical courses and putting himself out there, he’s starting a garden to research what he can and perform his own experiments with soil and plant growth. He sits in on classes at DCU because he prefers the lectures to trying to read using the ComTech translator. Destiny City has a lot of resources, and he wants to learn from their Park and Wildlife resources. He believes that a healthy world starts at the roots, and he wants to explore that and move on to the symbiotic relationship of nature and the animals it supports.
Nesting -- Earth is weird and Andreiya is out of place. Most things he can adapt to but he needs something--somewhere--to ground himself. Earth has no predictable structure and Andreiya is desperate to create a new normal for himself. So, it’s come in the form of preparing and securing a safe space. While this is technically limited to his room, he has become very passionate about securing things that bring him comfort and peace, and it’s one of the few things that can distract him from his work. He has taken to collecting stuffed animals and his room is full of them; he tries to hide it because it is a source of embarrassment but he also loves them. Especially hamsters.
Sustainability -- Earth is weird, and Andreiya is stressed about how ineffective their systems are. He gets stressed out by the waste and byproducts. Velencya is his primary concern, but he recognizes that the issues on Earth are issues they could develop once they have their own world, so he is working to find solutions. And, just in case things don’t work out with Velencya, he wants to make sure that there is a sustainable world somewhere. He is passionate about doing what he can to help; he spends time cleaning up litter, recycling, upcycling, refurbishing what he can and repairing things. He wants to reduce waste and leave the world a little cleaner, and a little better.
Virtues:
Resilient -- Andreiya is committed to working his hardest on everything. Once he sets his mind to something, he can’t be shaken. He is determined to keep to course, and his resilience means he can overcome any obstacle--eventually. Difficulties do not sway him, and he can usually find a new course of action when he has an obstacle in front of him. He doesn’t give up easily and is fairly adaptable; if he can’t find a solution, he will find someone who can help him--or research until he can figure it out on his own.
Loyal -- While Andreiya’s loyalty might sometimes be confused with obedience, he has extreme respect for those in higher positions than him, and those who are more of an expert than he is. He puts his all into relationships and stays committed to the cause and the people close to it. He is stubborn and it is difficult to sway his allegiance, and if he is trusted by someone he returns it immensely.
Diligent -- Thorough, meticulous, and hard working, Andreiya will only ever give his best. He takes his tasks very seriously and gives them his full attention. He is careful and attentive to research, experiments, and all tasks. He works hard to make sure that everything is perfect; he is hard-working and conscientious and is a good partner in things if you want someone who is going to take things seriously and do his best. However, he doesn’t always work well with others if they don’t share his level of commitment.
Flaws:
Obstinate -- Andreiya is set in his ways and doesn’t like to break the norm. Once he’s made up his mind, he stays committed to it--partly because he really doesn’t like to be wrong. It can be incredibly difficult to get him to shift his stance on anything, and when wrong he has a tendency to double down instead of accepting this. He will go out of his way to prove that he’s right and can obsess over the details until he finds a way, and he can be argumentative and confrontational--especially when he feels like he’s losing an argument.
Critical -- Everything must be perfect. He expects rules to be followed and he wants everything to be completed to the highest standards. He can be a bit blunt and a bit insensitive if something doesn’t reach his expectations. Because everything must be perfect, Andreiya has wound up a little insecure in himself, so outside of projects he is critical of personal failures and can be hard on himself (and sometimes others).
Naive -- Andreiya is booksmart, but this isn’t always practical--especially not on Earth. When someone says something, he expects it to be true, and he is used to Velencian culture. He is easily convinced of things he believes are shared with good faith. As such, he trusts superstition in fact and does not do adequate follow through when he is told something because he believes whatever he is being told. He trusts easily and his inexperience with deception makes him a prime target for getting into trouble.
