The battle on the hill had left Aokigahara in a state of disquieted distress, to say the least.
To be more honest, it left him in a state of simmering anger.
He didn't like feeling that way; he worked hard to keep his emotions under wraps, and to be more thoughtful and less prone to outbursts of anger. But what he had seen that day, the utter destruction of a soul and the mass corruption and attempts at murder that the Negaverse employed...it made him very, very angry. And it made him want to find a Negaverse target and unleash that anger.
He wasn't proud of that feeling. It wasn't the person he tried to be. But he could feel a corrupted signature, and he didn't hesitate, moving to find whoever it was attached to.

Lazurite was just trying to be better. Obviously she was a disappointment as a member of the Negaverse...but she could still change that. And now that she knew she could work to bring a senshi over to their side...if she could just…find her. So here she was. Working to make Jet proud of her, and work to draw Iduna into her arms and a trap that she wouldn't be able to escape.
She was sweet enough, but her magic simply doubled that.
When she felt an aura that was stronger than she was, and was the sickening feeling of…order, Lazurite wrinkled her nose. It wasn’t...what she was looking for. She couldn’t put a finger on why she felt that...but she knew it like she knew her name...and when the glowing purple clad boy came into view, she sighed.
“I knew you weren’t my lady love~ How can I help you on this crisp evening?”
Lazurite kept her tone light and almost flirtatious, but the hairs on the back of her neck were standing up. This...whoever...he didn’t seem pleased to see her...at all.

Aokigahara smiled in a way that was not at all friendly or pleasant.
"No such luck, no," he said, and he shifted his grip to hold his lantern in front of him. He let his eyes flick over the Corrupt in front of him; a threat, potentially, but not one he was quite yet ready to engage with. He'd give himself just a little more time to determine the best strategy, just in case "slam her with the horrific hallucination magic" was for some reason or another unideal.
"And you're not my type, regardless. I tend to prefer my partners to not be part of the organization doing their best to subjugate the planet, happily destroying lives along the way."
The image of the starseed crushing to dust in the Lieutenant's hands would not go away. It fueled his cold, calculated fury, as he took a seemingly lazy step closer to the Corrupt.
"So what you can do for me is answer one very simple question, and bear with em if it seems a bit odd: have you killed, at the Negaverse's behest? By taking starseeds or by good old fashioned murder, either way."

“Such a shame. I haven’t seen her in ever so long.” Lazurite took a half step backwards, giving an over dramatic sigh and shook her head at his question, her long braids swinging. “I can’t say that I have! Not a starseed nor have I done any murder, that’s not really my style, so far as I know! I don’t think that people should be killed...it seems a waste. People can become friends, don’t you think?”
She tapped her cheek, thoughtful. “I’ve taken some energy though! But never enough to kill someone!” Lazurite smiled brightly after a moment. “May I have some of yours, please? It would help me out a lot and make my General proud!”
At this, she held her hand out towards him, hoping that he would agree, hoping that this wouldn’t turn into a fight, even though all of her was tensing to run even now.
...And that step forward he took…
No thanks.

Aokigahara nodded, idly.
"How unfortunate for the both of you."
Her answer surprised him--both because he honestly sort of expected that most Negaverse officers were generally pressed to kill and because she seemed so sincere. Briefly, he wishes he had brought out his hair sticks, so he could be entirely certain if she was lying to him.
Alas, he would just have to trust. And, truth be told, he had little reason not to. Still, he shook his head.
"I'm sorry. I can't do that." Perhaps there was a moral stand in offering his own, abundant, Transcendent energy in place of a civilian who had less to give. Perhaps others might feel that way. Perhaps others might think that it was simply inevitable, that the energy would have to come from somewhere.
But Aokigahara could not, in good conscience, offer to feed the Negaverse's war machine.
Not knowing what it did.
"Which I suppose means that we can't be friends. I'm sorry," he said, and there was a certain genuineness in his voice. It would be nice, to be the kind of person who could be an ambassador tot he other side.
Unfortunately, that wasn't him.
He called on his magic, and his lantern bloomed bright, lighting the whole area in a ghostly, eerie purple.Quote: Aokigahara Squire holds up his lantern, and the flame inside becomes brighter, bathing a six foot radius around him in an eerie purple light. Anyone within the radius, including Aokigahara himself, will hallucinate gruesome ghostly shapes - essentially ghosts that look like they died VERY violently- grabbing on them and trying to get their attention, and hear the sound of ghostly voices begging for help. These pleas will generally be nonspecific - "help me, help me please!" or "avenge me!" or the like, but it is generally fairly unsettling, though exact reactions are up to the player. Aokigahara can channel for up to 30 seconds at this stage.

Perhaps she should have just turned tail and ran when he said that he couldn’t give any energy. It was to be expected...well. At least. He hadn’t sounded angry but…
But.
“That’s quite all right! I just thought...I’d…”
Lazurite’s words died as the strange purple light began to fill the area, and when she saw the first ghost, she stiffened completely, her face going deathly pale.
She had never really liked horror movies. Never liked blood and gore...the very idea of death horrified her. And this…
Hell no.
The ghosts were talking to her now. Asking for help, and they were moving in, growing closer, as Lazurite took a stumbling step backwards, a terrible whimper ripping itself from her throat. “What...no!” She rasped, voice unable to get higher than a whisper, and then she took another stumbling step, and broke into a shambling run, wanting to put as much distance between herself and this knight. Herself and those ghosts. <******** hell. Maybe she’d just go back to her parent’s island and stay there.
