Leandro was practically vibrating with excitement. He was finally going to be getting a tattoo he'd wanted for a long time—picking an artist was just such a grueling process. So when he heard that Kor was opening up very limited slots, he jumped at the chance. The confirmation email letting him know he could come in and deciding on an appointment time had him squealing. He was just so insanely excited. He showed up a little early to his appointment, standing outside the shop and waiting patiently. He was excited, but he wasn't going to be a jerk or anything. He know how much work went into this kind of thing, most art had a lot of setup, and with the shop closed, there was probably still some last minute cleaning to do, which Leandro appreciated. He'd rather get to it a little late and clean over on time and still a bit dirty. He hummed softly to himself, leaning against the wall with his eyes closed. The fall air was crisp and delightful in his lungs and everything felt... nice. Like today was just gonna be a good day.

It still amazed Kor to this day that he still had people jumping at the chance to be tattooed by him. It stroked his ego, which had previously been super small, even with all the encouragement his lovers were singing to him. 'You guys are just biased', he would say to Derek, Kazuo, and Kraven when they started laying it on thick. He still thought it was true, but maybe some of what they said wasn't made up. First Waru, now this new one, Leandro. So when the time for the appointment drew near, Kor made his way down the stairs of his apartment and into the shop, flipping on the lights. He'd cleaned and steralized the one room he was using, laid out all the supplies and sighed. Needle was still in the wrapper, a box of gloves, saline solution, cling wrap, all his inks, his favorite gun that had his name on it. All laid out with a surgical precision. Finally the time was there and he headed out to the front of the shop. He swung the door opened, looked around, and then grinned at the man who was resting against the wall. "You Leandro?" He asked, opening the door wider and motioning him inside. Some old grunge music was coming faintly from the room lit up on the inside.

His eyes popped open and he thrust himself off the wall with a little "eep" noise, before he remembered where he was and blushed. "Ah, yup, that's me! Sorry, I was bit lost in thought there," he said, trotting inside. He tilted his head a bit as he heard the music and hummed approvingly. "Good music. Hopefully good enough to help me forget the pain," he joked, flipping his ponytail over his shoulder. "Where do I sit?"

Kor beamed and lead him through the shop, to the room and then pointed at the one comfy chair. "That one. Stool's for me to crouch over you." He couldn't help the chuckle. The door to the room stayed open and he moved around to one of the cabinets there first. Leandro had told him what he'd wanted in the emails, and Kor had sketched up a couple different ones in his style. Similar to the originals, but with a twist. Nothing horrible. Lines were slightly thinned. "So, where did you want it again?" He asked, showing him the papers he'd drawn up on the transfer paper. "Had 'em all sketched for you. Love it when a client knows what he wants."

Leandro smiled a bit sheepishly—perhaps it should've been obvious which chair he was meant to sit in, but it never hurt to double check! He sat down after removing his jacket, revealing a black tank top on underneath, and wiggled in the seat a bit, getting really good and comfortable. He wasn't sure how long he'd be sitting there, but the more comfortable he was, the less he would have to ask to pause the session for a moment while he extricated a wedgie or something. "Wow, those look really good!" he complimented, beaming widely. "Uh, here, my upper right arm." He pointed to it with his left, then smiled sheepishly again. Rather silly of him to point it out like that, Kor clearly knew what he was doing. "And, uh, yeah, I think I've wanted some kind of shark tattoo since I knew what tattoos were," he said with a laugh, "Much to my parents' disappointment. But I'm an adult and they certainly can't stop me anymore."

It was always interesting to see reactions to tattoos. Some people were nervous, others could be down right scared. Seems Leandro was the type that was more excited than anything. "Thank you, thank you. Sharks are always fun to do, honestly. Just a shark lover?" He chuckled and grabbed a razor out of a drawer, unwrapped it, and then grabbed his bottle of saline solution. "Okay, so. I have to shave down the area, then we'll put both sketches on and you can see which spot." With that, Kor settled on his own stool and got to work wetting down his upper arm and shaving it off with expert movements and a normal razor. "There we go, alright." A bit of dampening of his skin, and he put one shark more toward the front of the man's arm, and then one more in the center. "So, those were some popular places. In the front here, I dunno, a lot of people like it. I like it more in the center for my own, so if you add on, want a sleeve or something? It's easier to do. Though I guess with a shark, we can tie it in with waves and stuff easily enough. I can sorta see a scene. Anyway. Sorry for rambling. Mirror's there, on the back of the door if you wanna look from more angles. We can also put it higher or lower..."

"Yeah. Nurse sharks are the best," he enthused, nodding to show he understood before Kor went to go shave and prep his arm, "Okay, so, like, Nurse Sharks are part of a group usually called Carpet Sharks! They can breathe while stationary rather than only through constant motion like most other sharks. What they do is, like, they can gulp the water and the motion allows them to push it through their gills. They're some of the most friendly and human-receptive sharks. Very playful. Very cute." He hummed in thought as Kor gave him a couple places to choose from on his arm and considered for a moment. "Yeah, the center should be good. Then if I do get like, a full ocean sleeve? It's clearly the focus of the piece," he agreed, smiling widely, "That sounds super-duper cool."

Kor listen to the other completely nerd out about sharks, and just soaked it up. He loved learning, and who better to learn from than someone super enthusiastic? It made him want to look up more information, maybe some videos. The man just grinned as he pulled Leandro's arm into his reach again and then started cleaning up the others tattoos so he wouldn't et confused. With a little hum, he pulled out the color pallet of said tattoo, filling up small little containers with ink. "Honestly, I thought all but those really huge sharks, the whales? Anyway, I thought all but them were like Jaws level dangerous. I just don't ******** with the ocean, really. Can't swim. I'd probably sink like a rock." Kor didn't go anywhere near deep water. "But these are super cute. Honestly I'm ignorant about a lot of things in the ocean because I've heard a whole lotta bad. Plus like, how much of the ocean is explored, really? Like, more than two percent by now, but like, 's always changing. It's..." He shuddered. "Naw thanks. Got enough to worry about on land." He laughed at himself and then finally dipped the tip of his gun into the ink and turned it on with a little buzz. "You ready?"

"Heheh, there's plenty in the ocean that isn't all that scary, I promise," he said, grinning, "Sure, you have to be careful, but, like... even deer or like, dogs! Can really ******** you up, y'know? It's just about treating the animals with respect when you're the one invading their territory. Most of the shark 'attacks' that happen actually happen because of the way a surfer on a surfboard looks silhouetted on the surface. Look just a seal they wanna eat. Then they bite and go 'oh, no, this is yucky' and leave. Humans apparently taste terrible." He chuckled a bit, nodding. "Yeah, I'm ready. Nervous a bit, but ready." Wait. "...Did you just say whales are huge sharks?"

"Nooo, uh..." Kor wracked his brain, the machine buzzing in his hand. "Whale sharks. The ones that aren't actually sharks, but they're all: Whale shark! 'cause English isn't confusing enough." With an indignant snort, Kor lowered the gun down, hand resting on the other's arm, before he finally started with his first line. "Deer are just dumb. They're like squirrels. Wait until a car's comin' then bam, give you no choice but to end 'em." He'd lost so much money to getting damage out of his car a deer caused. Luckily it was never enough to total his car, but man did he spend a pretty penny getting dents out, new bumpers, new lights and things like that. Those green eyes glanced up now and again to check on the other's pain level. He didn't like his clients being in an ungodly amount of pain for too long. Luckily this wasn't on ribs or direct bone, so he should be alright.

"Oh!" Well, now Leandro felt silly and a little bit jerkish for his silly assumption. His brain got off track so easily. "God, yeah, English is the worst." He groaned, one of his eyes twitching shut. The groan was part annoyance with English, part pain from the tattooing. But he took a deep breath. He was gonna be okay. "Spanish was my first language, y'know? My family moved to America when I was like, eight? We lived in Cuba before that, and I only knew Spanish and a couple phrases in English, cuz my parents—" He cut himself off with a hiss of pain, groaning and flexing the fingers on the opposite hand so he could keep the arm getting tattooed relaxed. Inhaling sharply, he continued, "They knew English and could speak for me if we needed it back then, so I didn't give too many shits to learn about it. Then, of course, we moved, and suddenly I had to care a lot. So, yeah, whale sharks. Jeepers, English."
