While Lazurite had been expecting the summons, that didn’t mean that she was quite…prepared for it. Of course she was ready and willing to talk to her General, and this was obviously no exception. She wanted to figure out the best course of action when dealing with Iduna. There had to be a way that she could continue to forge a bond with the other senshi while not...seeming like a traitor...and well.
Obviously her General would know best. If she were honest with herself, she should have gone to Jet months ago with this...but it had slipped her mind, and she hadn’t been in the city since the...giant wisp incident.
Plus that meant that she hadn’t seen Iduna since the summer so...it was fine.
Most likely.
By the time Lazurite’s head had cleared from the strange feeling of the summoning, she beamed at Jet and walked closer to him, waving. “Hi! It’s been a while, General! I hope you’ve been well! I’m sorry that I haven’t been around lately, my parents dragged me off to spend time with them in their new vacation home.” She pursed her lips. “...Island. My parents bought an island. Like on those shows with the stupid rich people? Yeah. That’s them. Have I missed much?”
She had asked for this meeting, yet she was far too chicken to actually talk about what she had come here to discuss.
Typical.

Jet stared at Lazurite with an unverifiable exhaustion in his gaze. Whether that was caused by her explanation of where she had been, or if it had to do with the papers he casually stacked and set aside, or something else entirely, it wasn’t clear. He couldn’t exactly relate well to parents buying an island and the last time he’d been on vacation was… well, did being kidnapped and tortured count?
He had been aware she wasn’t there when the aliens tried getting the starseed they’d arrived on Earth for, and maybe that was for the best. She was still fairly inexperienced, and he didn’t want her, or any of his other recruits, getting hurt.
“You’ll want to read the reports. If I tried to explain everything, you probably wouldn’t believe me,” he admitted. If the news hadn’t come from the Queen herself, he would have questioned it as well.
Somehow he doubted that she came to brag about her vacation, but if she didn’t want to talk about whatever she wanted to talk about yet, then he had no problem giving her time to work things out.
“There are a good number of new recruits around. All from the White Moon,” he explained from where he sat behind his desk. Aquamarine wasn’t there. Thankfully. He was working his day job, which asked more hours of him due to the holiday season. “If you see anyone around who looks lost or confused, don’t be afraid to introduce yourself. They didn’t all have their hearts open to Metallia’s will like you did or myself, so their memories might be spotty. They might be afraid or nervous about their place here. And if you hear or see anyone giving them trouble, let me know, please?”
While he was against forced recruitment methods, he didn’t want them feeling unwelcome.

“I’m sure that I would believe you, it’s my job to follow what you say, after all.” She smiled, hesitating and sinking into the chair across from him and sighing softly. The request was interesting, and the fact that there were new recruits was delightful…and actually…a really good segue.
“That’s wonderful! New recruits are always a good thing, and I’ll help them out however I can, absolutely…ah. And while we’re on that topic. I wanted to ask you about that. THere’s a senshi that I met a few months ago now, and I”m hoping to run into her again…she’s sweet, and seems really pliable…how would I go about bringing her to the truth of Metallia’s will? Is that something I can do? I think she’d end up a lot happier here with us. She seemed so sad.”
And why wouldn’t she be? She was on the wrong side. She was being lied to. It wasn’t fair…and if Lazurite could bring her into the fold…well. That would just be better for everyone.
“I think she would be a good fit, and I just want to make sure that I have your permission to try and court her.”

Jet stared at Lazurite for a moment. And then two. And blinked because he wasn't sure he heard what she said correctly. But eventually he couldn't help but smile and laughed. It was light and good natured of course. Lazurite took this so seriously in many ways. More so than a lot of others.
"You don't have to believe and follow whatever I say," he told her even as he grinned in amusement, his previous worries temporarily pushed aside. "You can think for yourself and ask questions and unless I tell you something is an order, you can ask for clarification and all that. I'm not going to force you to do something you don't want to, if I can help it."
There were some things, of course, that were Metallia's will, as Lazurite mentioned. Even Jet wouldn't dare question Metallia.
"You don't need my permission to court anyone, but I do want you to be safe. If you think she would be a good fit, then I want her to be safe. I'll let the Queen know that you've talked to me about it so no one thinks you're working for the White Moon. They'd be safer with us, anyway. The sooner we can have them join, the better. I don't want them to be forced into joining, though. It will have to be their own decision unless we have no other choice. Understood?"

“But why wouldn’t I when you clearly know what you’re doing. I think it’s better to follow someone who knows what he’s doing than floundering around on my own like an idiot.”
She felt her cheeks growing warm though, a little embarrassed to be laughed at but…
“I don’t know enough on my own yet, but I really do appreciate your confidence in me! And good. I’m glad I don’t need your permission, but that was what I was thinking, I didn’t want you to think I was going soft on her or whatever. I am soft on her, but I’ve wanted her in black since I first met her, and she’s…”
Lazurite made a face and sigh. “I mean, I haven’t seen her for a while, but one day we’ll meet again and I’ll do this better, but I think about her a lot..” She frowned and made an impatient sound. “Hey, I wouldn’t force anyone to anything. I think I’m pretty good with being seductive and sweet and I can talk up the Negaverse and Metallia like it’s nobody’s business. I’ve got this. I can’t wait for you to meet her. She’s so cute. And very pretty.”

Jet smiled, a bit more subdued because the flush in Lazurite's cheeks made it seem like maybe he embarrassed her, or she embarrassed herself.
"You're not an idiot," he insisted. "I appreciate your confidence in me. I don't plan on letting you down, so if it ever seems like I'm not doing enough, just let me know. I never really had a General when I was going through the ranks. A few that I looked up to, but for the most part I figured things out on my own. Probably not the most effective way of learning," he sighed, but the past was in the past, and he'd become a General relatively quickly and didn't have to worry about all of that.
He did worry that his lack of micro-managing wasn't enough for some. Maybe they did need a more hands on approach? And yet, he couldn't imagine hovering around them until they were frustrated with him.
"Keep trying to talk to her, but remember that they've been brainwashed into thinking just because they wear white that they're somehow pure of evil, or whatever the White Moon likes to say these days. And if there is anything going on that could be considered evil or cruel, let me know and I'll make sure to talk to General King Axinite about it, or the Queen herself."
It was a new era for the Negaverse, especially with the help from the Velencians.
"I look forward to meeting her when she's ready."

“If you ever run into her, please be nice okay? Her name is Iduna and she’s the senshi of apples! I’m sure if you mentioned me she would be happy to know that…you know me…ah.” Lazurite shrugged. “She has the prettiest blue hair, it’s like the ocean I swear. I don’t think she’s quite so brainwashed. We had a really good talk last time, and I’ll make sure to be careful. Thank you for your support, Jet!”
Lazurite beamed, relaxing into the chair. “I’ll be sure to be friendly to anyone who looks lost and confused too, like you asked of me. If they’re scared I’ll do my best to be their friend and make them comfortable.”
After all..wasn’t that the reason she had been chosen? He had thought she would be friendly, and she wanted to live up to that.

Well, at least she was still enthusiastic, even if she missed everything that happened with the aliens. Maybe it was for the better. He didn't want her having to fight some band of ruthless White Moon when they had enough to handle things themselves. It hadn't been quite a victory, but they got more recruits from it than expected.
"If you haven't already, would you mind please putting an entry into the database on her? That way if anyone else runs into her, they'll know not to give her a hard time for still being White Moon," he said, not knowing how much it would help, but it was important that everyone utilize the database whenever possible.
"Was there anything else on your mind, Lazurite?" he asked. Not to rush her. His posture hadn't changed to make it seem like he was in a hurry. He just hoped she would feel comfortable talking to him if she had any problems and maybe needed a little bit of prompting.

“I wouldn’t mind at all, if it would keep her safe. That would be wonderful, because she’ll be ours soon.” Lazurite looked so happy for a moment, thinking about just what she would write, and then paused, shaking her head. “Not really. I just hadn’t seen you in a while and wanted to account for my unexplained absence. I’m going to be better, General, I promise.”
She had no plans to let him down, and didn’t want him to ever wonder that she would.
And truthfully, the next time her parents asked her to come stay with them for a few months…well. She would have to really think about it, rather than just jumping on the idea.
…Unless it was somewhere fun, of course. Ah well.
“Thank you for being the best General ever, by the way! I appreciate you.”

Jet wasn't sure about being the best General ever, but he smiled and appreciated Lazureite's enthusiasm. That was why he wanted to recruit her in the first place.
"Just stay safe, okay?" he requested, because he didn't like the idea of her messing around with the White Moon, but if she thought so strongly about getting Iduna to join the Negaverse, then he would do what he could to support that.
"Thank you for stopping by. Just send me a message if you need anything, okay?"
