Blood Type: AB+
School / Occupation: Part-time DCU for medical classes. Vanguard Healer / Medic.
Hobbies:
- Learning - Aliez is very determined to be the best Vanguardian he can be. He is curious about Earth and what makes it so unique, so has taken to picking up any book or form of media he can get his hands on to learn anything and everything. It takes a lot of time to translate books, so he prefers audio or visual media. If anyone can teach him something that he didn’t know about before, he is happy.
Cooking - Getting used to Earth has been a challenge for not just himself, but for his fellow Velencians. One of the biggest challenges has been food. Aliez wants to make sure his family is properly fed, but also enjoys what they eat. He has painstakingly rewritten recipes from English so he is now slowed down by trying to figure out ingredients in the middle of the process. Lucky for him, he has a whole house of testers to let him know how he’s doing.
Virtues:
- Loyal - Aliez considers himself a Velencian first and foremost. He is loyal to his people and to Commodore Lyndin, and believes that the Commodore is doing everything in his power to save their world. While he may wish to find another method to restore their world other than having Caedus’ starseed returned to the Cauldron, he would personally be willing to give his own life for the countless Velencians who live on their synthetic, dying world. He is determined to remain by Commodore Lyndin’s side throughout the rest of their mission.
Even-tempered - He is not quick to anger, nor is he known to burst into fits of laughter when he is happy. He sometimes feels like his emotions are too unbecoming of a Velencian, because while he does not have emotional outbursts, he is known to cry when he is overwhelmed or upset. When he is focused on a task, such as healing or helping someone else, he is able to control those emotions better. He tries to save his breakdowns for when he is alone and won’t bother anyone else.
Lionhearted - He might not be the strongest or the most fierce or the smartest of the Vanguard, but he likes to think he can hold his own, and he is very determined to be the best Vanguardian he can be. He will rush in to protect his allies, even at risk to himself because he knows what the cost could be if he did not try his hardest. He has already seen too much death to want to see more. While he is definitely afraid of things, such as thunder and not being able to help his allies, he does his best to overcome each situation and move forward.
Flaws:
- Curious - Learning is important to Aliez. He wants to learn about anything and everything. Being on Earth has given him so many new things to discover, although he is saddened by a lot of what he has found already. However, there are good things that he has learned about, such as sunrises and sunsets, and rain, and rainbows, and chocolate. He is interested in animals and why humans do the things they do. The more there is for him to learn, the happier he is. But while his curiosity might be a positive, he does have potential to get him into a lot of trouble. He and Vyn already had to be rescued from mall security after unintentionally shoplifting, and he and Andreiya were attacked by seagulls due to their lack of understanding about the creatures and what they wanted. While Aliez hopes to use this to his advantage, he tends to bite off more than he can chew.
Stubborn - As determined as he is to do his best, Aliez isn’t good at knowing his own limits. He has pushed himself to fainting before, when the emotional trauma of losing his allies in front of him was too much to handle. But if necessary, he will deplete all of his energy reserves in order to help others. Short of going against orders, he is willing to push himself beyond his limits -- after all, he learned that from the best, and can only follow Commodore Lyndin’s example.
Impulsive - Sometimes Aliez is quick to act, quicker than he’s able to think. It tends to leading to somewhat rash or stupid decisions. He tries to think things through, but if something is interesting or sparks his curiosity, he doesn’t always let rational decision making catch up with him. Especially if being encouraged by others.
