Civilian Glamour Name: Tulip Fields
Nickname: He goes by Vin. When anyone questions why, he just agrees with whatever their assumptions are.
"Were your parents hippies?" "Yes."
“Oh, is Vin your middle name?” “Yeah, sure.”
Gender/Pronoun: He/Him/His
Age: 150 / 21-ish.
Birthday: His ID says September 13th, the day he arrived on Earth, with the year 2001 added for further identification purposes.
Sign: This Earthen concept is strange to him.
Gemstone: His Source Stone???
Blood Type: AB+
Fav. Food: He tends to default to blandly prepared fruits and vegetables, but he’s developed a bit of a sweet tooth on Earth and enjoys trying different cakes, cookies, and pastries.
Hated Food: Vin still can’t get his mind around the idea of consuming meat.
School/Occupation: He’s taking a couple of Gen Ed courses at Destiny City University, and has also acquired part time employment at a local flower shop.
Hobbies: Crafts - Vin started his crafting with flower crowns. They were poorly made at first, but he has since perfected his technique using artificial flowers and other such craft supplies. His discovery of arts and craft stores has allowed him to expand his crafting. He makes flower crowns and seasonal wreaths for his friends. Vin also likes little felt crafts with puff balls and googly eyes. He wants to try his hand at beadwork and fiber crafts; friends can expect to receive his many attempts at blankets and scarves and other such apparel during colder months.
Target Practice - Vin could go to a shooting range on Earth and learn how to use one of their weapons, but he thinks their firearms are crude and subpar. This is a hobby Vin reserves for times when he can drop his glamor, which tends to occur late at night, deep in the forest where there’s less risk of being seen. Even though his people are not the war-faring sort, Vin still deems it important to develop his expertise in this area, especially considering all the dangers Earth presents. He needs to be able to protect himself and his friends
and his Commodore.
Earth - Though Vin is not so enamored with the Earthlings, he likes Earth itself and enjoys experiencing all it has to offer. Sunrises. Sunsets. Hikes through the mountains. Walks through the park. Thorough explorations of the city. A long soak in a hot bath. Pastries. Chocolate. So many different methods of preparing food. Music. Holidays and festivals. Earth is full of intriguing places and distracting pastimes. It’s a shame more of Earth’s people don’t appreciate all the good they have.
Virtues: Devoted - Vin is a young man of unwavering loyalty — to his friends, to his family, to his home, and to his Commodore. Even when he doubts himself, he remains devoted to his mission and to his people. Those who have earned his trust and admiration will find in him an earnest and reliable companion. Vin would do everything in his power to ensure that those he cares about are safe and happy.
Inquisitive - Vin likes to learn and explore. He may not be as studious as some of his peers, or as hungry for readable data, but he remains curious about the world around him and endeavors to find answers in his own way — by experiencing what the world has to offer rather than spending more time than necessary reading about it.
Resolute - Though he certainly has doubts about himself, Vin is the decisive sort when it comes to his duty and his mission. When a problem arises or danger strikes, he might not know the right answer, but he’s firm in his resolve and displays a determination and bravery that isn’t always apparent in other aspects of his life. Vin can be firm and tough when necessary, and tends to choose suitable moments to prove it.
Flaws: Stubborn - Vin doesn’t like change. Once he’s made his mind up about someone or something, others will find it difficult to sway his opinion. One might assume this to be the result of ignorance or childishness, but the truth is that Vin is just willful and single-minded. He also doesn’t like to admit when he’s wrong, at least not without falling into a crabby mood first.
Petulant - Vin might be an adult and a proud Vanguardian, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have moments of immaturity. He pouts when he’s in a bad mood, often until he’s acquired the right amount of attention and been appropriately consoled. He can be irritable and sullen when upset, and only bothers to hide these moods around the Commodore. Everyone else has to deal with them.
Withdrawn - Deep down, Vin is a very self-conscious person. He doesn’t often see himself as worthy of his place in the Vanguard, despite all the hard work he put into being accepted. When these thoughts hit him hard, he tends to withdraw into himself and pull away from other people. Vin fears that he’ll be a disappointment. This behavior has cost him friends and can give him an air of emotional distance with those he still has.
CIVILIAN GLAMOUR: PHYSICAL DESCRIPTIONAppearance: Vin keeps his hair just shy of chin length and doesn’t bother to correct its natural tendency to flip outward. His bangs are shorter, but long enough that the tips often bother his eyes. He picked an
ice blond for his glamor after seeing a model sporting the color on a poster in the mall. His glamored eyes are a color his research has determined to be called
uranian blue. Vin uses a medium caucasian skin tone, not so pale that he looks ghostly with the near white color of his hair, but he certainly doesn’t sport a deep tan either. He stands at an even 6’ and has a slender physique, built for speed and agility instead of brute strength. His facial features are soft, youthful, and often referred to as “pretty.”
Clothes: Vin likes to wear pastels, usually in the form of oversized shirts and sweaters. Sometimes they’re long; sometimes they’re cropped short. All are typically worn with some sort of fitted bottoms. Vin prefers simple shoes, with comfort in mind more than style.
