Nickname: nope. nada. nyet. No nicknames for her civ glamour.
Gender/Pronoun: She/Her.
Age: 175 (22)
Birthday: July 1
Sign: Cancer
Gemstone: Ruby
Blood Type: AB+ (Velencians all appear to have AB+ blood type and can receive blood from human donors, but cannot donate their own)
Fav. Food: Sugar has interesting properties. But one must be careful of how much one ingests.
Hated Food: No opinion yet. check back later.
School/Occupation: DCU. Part time. Angel (Nessaela) has heard of human astronomy and is curious to see if the humans actually know what they are talking about. The rest of her time is dedicated to her role as a Vanguardian Cadet.
Hobbies:
Swimming - Considering that one can't feasibly swim on Velencya - this is a hobby that has developed on Earth. Angel knows that her swimming form is far from adequate but there's something calming about just immersing oneself in a body of water and maybe being able to float on ones back, letting the water carry away all stress. Angel is practising her swimming skills though when the chance arises. She will look forward to the day when she can manoeuvre about in the watery depths - like a creature born to the ocean freely does.
People Watching - Sure it sounds silly but Angel is drawn to watching how humans interact with each other. It gives her a chance to study those rare mannerisms that one may not see at other times. From simple handshakes to displays of overwhelming emotion - Angel drinks it all in. Although she is Velencian at heart - she can't act like it when she's out amongst those that she's trying to observe. Social miscues are not something one wants to deal with.
Virtues:
Adventurous - There is nothing more exciting then experiencing new adventures. Signing up with the Vanguard & even being chosen to go to Earth with the Commodore: Angel lives for adventure. Her definition of adventure could be doing something as mundane as trying to purchase groceries or something much more difficult. Her adventurous spirit makes any outing an adventure - and sometimes that can land her in trouble.
Reliable - This is Angel's default mode. If she's given you her word that she'll be around to help with something, you can be sure that she'll be there at the allotted time. No matter what the task or what life may throw at her in the meantime - if she's said she'll be there ... then she'll be there.
Flaws:
Reckless - Angel would like to say that she exercises good judgement in all of her decisions that she makes but the truth is - she doesn't. Sometimes it can be said that making a rash decision has an outcome that does not always turn out well. Angel hates these occasions that proves how poor her judgement can get. She generally takes the time to learn from her mistakes but on rare occasions even thinking about what she did wrong doesn't keep it from happening again.
Stuck in her ways (stubborn) - Angel is stubborn. No matter what the situation - it has to be done her way, all the time. It could be something as banal as household chores or something to do with her DCU coursework - but whatever method Angel learned first to take care of something - she refuses to adapt to newer methods. She even goes so far as to argue the finer points of a "tried and true" approach.
CIVILIAN GLAMOUR: PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
- Velencians use a device that gives them a synthetic appearance; they typically only have one standard civilian appearance, however if it is compromised they can create a new one with minor plot approval. Because Velencians look different from humans, their civilian glamour can change their hair, eye, and skin color, as well as the shape of their pupils and ears to match humans. They will always be the same size and shape as their true form; this is just a cosmetic screen over their appearance to make them fit in on Earth. Tattoos can appear differently between forms; they can be programmed to exist or not exist. Hairstyles can change between civilian and powered form but should always have the same length. Unnatural hair and eye color are perfectly fine, and there is no need to say they use hair dye or wear contacts - your character is free to have been born with blue hair if you want. Genetic heterochromia is allowed, but please consider that this is still considered an oddity in our game environment; you are free to play with it but we encourage players to be considerate of this fact! If your character is intended to have different colored eyes due to injury, please make sure you have done adequate research and include relevant information when you post a quest, or PM the shop mule, The Space Cauldron, for help! Because civilian art isn’t required for play, this part of the form will be helpful in making sure others know how your character appears if you don’t yet have art for them.
Appearance:
Hair color = blondish in color. bangs have been dyed a faded red and frame the face. Hair is parted down the center.
Eye color = gray
Body type = height is about 5' 10"... lithe, hourglass body shape.
skin tone = Caucasian but pale in color.
face shape = rectangular in appearance.
Clothes: It took but one second for the fashion of earth to draw in Nessaela (Angel) ... but she'll never admit it out loud. She loves to experiment with different designs but is most drawn to things that are light and airy. Wraps - shawls - light summer style dresses, you know ... things that don't cling. She'll wear clothes that cling if needed but she won't be happy. A hidden desire that she loves are knee-high boots. A pair was seen in a shop and she's been tempted by them ever since. While in civ appearance the boots remind her most about being part of the Vanguard.
