Etoile had decided that the best way to get good at awakening senshi was, well, to awaken some! She hadn't been the one to awaken Alise, unfortunately, but that was fine because got to live with Alise anyway, where she was allowed to watch all the tv she wanted and eat all the sweets she could eat. It was a great deal, for such a novice Guardian Cat as herself! And Alise had been thrilled to have been 'chosen' by a cat to come live with (though it was more of 'they chose each other'), so win win.

The base idea for how to awaken was simple enough, and Etoile was still confident she could do it even in her sleep, maybe. All she had to do was just... find someone who could understand her, get them to follow her to somewhere more secluded, and. Well. What was the next step again? Maybe she should have gone over her notes one more time...

School would let out soon, and Etoile figured what better place to scout for new recruits than the schools themselves? Of course, stealth was the key here, as she was supposed to be keeping a low profile, and thus Etoile waited very patiently along a path frequented by students, watching..

... And waiting...

... And getting awfully hungry, really. Hopefully she wouldn't have to wait long, or she was going to quite possibly starve! Or miss her shows. Or both.

Etoile waited patiently as students began to filter out of the school, waiting for someone to stop and notice her. When someone did spot her, the little cat perked up excitedly, eager to put her training to the test; could it be? Had she found someone so soon? She said nothing at first, waiting for Chloe to come closer…

And closer…

… And there! Once the girl had knelt down close enough for Etoile to get a better look at her, the small Guardian Cat finally spoke up. “Hello!” she greeted, perhaps a little louder than she should have; subtlety was not her strong point. At the same time, assuming her hunch was incorrect, then it wasn’t as if Chloe would hear anything but the meows of a cute little cat, right?

Etoile seemed relatively unbothered at being picked up, even though Alise would probably have had objections to random strangers just scooping the little cat up into their arms, if she were here. If anything, this was a much better angle at which to talk to Chloe with! It was hard to be quiet and secretive when talking to people while sitting on the ground, after all. “Oh good, you can understand me!” she said cheerily, “That means my hunch was right; I wasn’t sure for a moment, because this is my first time doing this alone.”

She’d shadowed other cats previously, and trained under Runelucia, but there was only so much information a little cat whose thoughts usually were of the tv and candy kind could retain at once! This was great- Ra would surely be proud for sure, grumpy as he seemed to be. Well, maybe that other nice cat she met the other day would be proud, at least!

On the back of the collar was Etoile’s name, along with Alise’s home address and cell number. Of course, as schools were just letting out, Alise wouldn’t be home right now, as she, too, had just gotten out of class. Of course, going home wasn’t exactly part of Etoile’s itinerary at the moment…

“Oh, I can find my way home by myself when we’re done, no worries!” Etoile continued, as if Chloe wasn’t busy pretending not to hear her talk, “Though I can certainly introduce you to someone there later if you’d like! For now, let’s go somewhere more quieter, so we can talk in private! Most people won’t hear me talking, but um… I think the manual said that we’re supposed to do this somewhere where we won’t be interrupted.”

Which… was the complete opposite of what she was doing right now, oops.
