Hati was... disturbed. His sister and his girlfriend were okay, after everything that had happened. Physically, at least. He was quite certain that emotionally... everyone was exhausted and drained. It had been a terrible time, ever since the aliens had shown up, really. He wished they'd never come. Sighing, he kicked at a pebble as he leapt from roof to roof, eyes scanning the area and keeping a lookout for Negaverse agents or youma or what have you. He needed to release some nervous energy, and the best way to do that was certainly by beating up some monster (human or not) who thought they could get away with hurting innocent people. Hopefully get the jitters out of his system and also save someone from a terrible fate. He grinned sharply when he felt the aura and made his way over. Good. A distraction.

Tonight had been, all in all, a completely terrible night. He had yet to find a decent draining victim, and that made him antsy. He wanted badly to impress his superiors, after the rousing success of...well, pretty much everything, recently, and how good it had felt to bask in the glow of Laurelite's approval. He wanted to think that this was the time for ambition; he hadn't been concerned with promotions and additional responsibilities before, but now he was thinking about them quite a lot.
And to get them, he had to do his job, which meant he needed targets, and they were just not forthcoming tonight. Perhaps he'd chosen the wrong sector of the city to hunt in; he was ready to give up and head out in a different direction when he felt the prickle of a Senshi aura in his senses.
Oh. That was much better.
A slow grin spread across his face, and he sprung up tot he nearest rooftop, seeking out a potential fight. This was so much better than successfully draining energy--this was engaging with the enemy.
"Come out, wherever you are!" He called, a thoroughly predatory grin spreading across his face. "I think we could have some fun, Senshi!"

Oh, how delightful. The person with the half-youma aura was looking for a fight. Hati couldn't keep the grin off his face now as he followed the voice to the edge of one of the roofs and looked down. A slippery snake, huh? How fitting. Since that's what the Negaverse was. Snakes, all of them. Taking a deep breath, he leapt down, hoping to crash atop the snakey half-youma and get him pinned to the ground. But if he missed and the half-youma put up a bigger fight, then, well. He wouldn't be disappointed at having more to do for a slightly longer period of time.

The Senshi was big. Beefy. And very heavy, when he crashed into Nagya at high speed. Charged straight in, no preamble, no chatter, just the rush and thrill of the fight.
Nagya's type of opponent. This was going to be so much fun.
But the thing was, Nagya was fairly well equipped for close-up, knock-down, drag-out fights. This was what he was used to, and so he knew how to let himself be carried down. Being pinned under someone else wasn't exactly advantageous, but it wasn't the end of the world.
"Bad choice," he hissed, voice more sibilant than normal, and he spit venom, aiming for his enemy's face. Let him regret the choice to get in close, and while he was disoriented, Nagya would be able to get into a much more advantageous position.Quote: Nagyágite's fangs can be used to deliver a toxic bite, or he can spit venom up to three feet. His venom mimics king cobra venom, causing muscle aches, blurred vision, vertigo, and drowsiness for 25 seconds, though if players wish to plot for longer or more severe effects that is possible. He can use this three times in a battle.

Hati wasn't expecting to be spat on. He groaned in disgusted, going to wipe the saliva away—when he realized. Snake. Half youma. Venom... he... he'd bet that was... He groaned low in his throat, eyes no longer focused on his surroundings or his enemy. He didn't feel so good. His stomach swooped and thinking was getting harder by the second. Oh, no. Only one thought really came through clearly: Please, God, don't let me puke. His eyes shut against the shaking blurriness of the world around him and he shook. Damnit.

There it was. Nagya's venom took effect quickly, and he was glad for it--it made leveraging his weight to shove the Senshi off him so much easier. With the chance to make space, he rolled and stood up, prowling out of easy reach of his target.
"Oh, don't tell me that's all you've got?" Nagya laughed. "You practically promised me a good fight, charging in like that!"
This couldn't be over so quickly! He refused to let it be.

Hati growled under his breath. No, it wasn't. He took a deep breath and tried to force the feelings away. To ignore it. He was better than this. At the very least, he could say, "Moor Stalk!" Even if he was still a little too disoriented to fight back physically right now. Noir Songbird A deafening silence settles over everyone within a ten foot radius. Shortly after the silence falls, a single, deep bark echoes through the area, and suddenly every enemy within the radius feels like they are being watched by a large, dangerous creature. The silence can be disorienting; no matter how loud anything is, while the magic is in effect they cannot hear anything but the bark--and maybe the sound of something heavy breathing just behind them. Paranoia, anxiety and fear for the invisible thread are prominent for the duration of the magic, and may persist for longer if the player desires. This attack affects all enemies within ten feet and lasts for twenty five seconds; it can be used three time per battle.

Nagya had never had occasion to learn what kinds of terrors could come with silence.
Hati's magic, in that moment, gave him a glimpse.
Nagya was not afraid of the dark. He was not afraid of the quiet. But in the dark and silence of Hati's magic, punctuated only by the single bark of that strange, hidden animal, Nagya felt cold crawl up his spine.
Something was watching him. Hunting him. He hissed, loudly and viciously, and he sought--because he was the predator, not the prey, and he would not be brought down by shadows.

Hati suppressed a grin as his senses started to work again, his head became delightfully clear again. The slimy snake-man was distracted now, searching for a threat that didn't exist. Well, Hati would just have to remind him about the threat that did exist. He braced, and threw his top half forward, slamming a fist into what he hoped was still this thing's solar plexus. If he couldn't breathe, he couldn't fight, and Hati would gain the advantage again.

The fist slamming into his gut was enough to jar Nagya bakc into reality, as the air was driven from his lungs. ********, ********, <********> that hurt, and he staggered backward.
He narrowed his eyes, and inhaled, spitting another burst of venom at the Senshi.
This time, though, it wasn't to get into an advantageous position--it was to cover a retreat.
There was nothing here for him; no reason for him to get his a** kicked over absolutely nothing at all.

s**t. He didn't have time to dodge the incoming spit of venom as it splashed across his shoulder. He grimaced, laying back on the ground on his left side to combat the wave of nausea and wait out his vision returning to normal. At least he'd technically won, sending the snake guy on retreat. Didn't make this suck any less, though. Once the magic was over, he got up, suddenly feeling exhausted. Okay. Time to go home and shower.
