It had taken a couple of weeks, with how busy Caedus had been, and Scylla wandering around town with some of the aliens as either Jada or Scylla, but FINALLY the stars had aligned, and the day had arrived: Scylla was kidnapping His Majesty King Caedus off to her homeworld. He had said he wanted to see it, so she had thought of everything she could to make it an enjoyable trip.
There were already multiple kayaks there, used for getting to the World Pillar from the White Temple, and oxygen tanks in case he wanted to go underwater, but she thought that Asulon itself would likely be plenty large enough to make up a day trip. She had brought water toys, and snack foods, towels, sunscreen, a change of clothes for Caedus in case he got wet- not jeans, Caedus had hated them in the past- and a variety of other things. A beach umbrella, a cooler with water and soda, and-
Well.
It was more than enough for one day, even if Caedus brought some of his companions with him. She hadn't even brought her vehicle today, so when she finally approached the barrier, she was more than ready for a day at the beach. Cool winds, cool waters, and a tour of parts of the world she had lived in a thousand years ago. She would NOT be introducing him to the crypts, but depending on where they landed she had an idea for a tour all prepared!
Staggering into the camp-area, bags and supplies hanging off her arms, she beamed at Lyndin and told him, "Hi, I'm here to kidnap your king for a beach day." A sun hat was on her head, the tattoo on her forehead glowing extra brightly in the shade. "You're welcome too, if you want. I think my homeworld has room for more than just two guests."
She could probably carry three or four aliens, especially if they carried some of the bags- but did she have enough food? She'd had Cookie make sandwiches, and potato salad, and there were chips and things. They could probably make do. "If you have anyone else needing some beach time you can send them too, if a proper king-napping isn't allowed."

Lyndin observed Scylla for a few seconds, arms crossed over his chest as he observed her attire and the bags she carted around with her. “The offer is generous,” he conceded, and he was obviously interested in seeing her world and the purpose of all of those bags. “I don’t know that I have a full day to devote to leisure.” He looked back behind him contemplatively. “Caedus will be here in a moment, though. I can ask if anyone else would like to attend. He’ll be in for a treat, I don’t think he’s seen a beach since…” He considered and then shrugged. “I know it was a long time ago for me, longer for him. He has a penchant for picking up shiny things, and pretty rocks. Does your beach have those, or shells?”

Lyndin looked at Scylla and she beamed up at him, slowly slumping to the left as the weight of the bags started to tug at her. She shifted them, promptly starting to drop the umbrella. It was only thanks to her mom reflexes that she saved it from toppling over, catching it with that mysterious third arm she had somehow acquired wrangling three kids. "You don't know that you have the time, which means you also don't know that you don't have it!" Scylla's logic was, at best, flimsy. Still. "That means you're being kidnapped, Lyndin." Her smile was toothy and bright. "Besides, you're carrying the weight of multiple worlds on your massive shoulders. You're no Atlas, and you're not condemned to hold up the heavens. You get a day off." She said this, of course, as she held out an arm for him to take a bag. Was Lyndin to be a guest, or a bag stand? "My homeworld has both shiny rocks and shells. I gave him one of the stones from my homeworld a few years ago. I'll take you down the Pillar to collect your own. It's a ritual. And you'll be shocked just how zen it is when you're diving down there. Dark, calm, relaxing. Probably not Caedus' speed, but I think you'll find it relaxing." She might be babbling, but she was all smiles. It was going to be a beach day, with alien friends, and Scylla was thoroughly delighted. "With all the things I'm carrying I can probably only take another person or two. I have a lot of supplies on Scylla already, but extras never hurt. I haven't hosted a proper Planet Party before." The Space Cauldron I think she could handle a couple N/PC aliens, don't you? She's gonna drag Lyndin diving for a Messian Gem. He can be a real grown up.

Lyndin reached out to take a bag and adjusted it to his arm with what seemed to be no difficulty whatsoever. He seemed more than ready to offer to take more but didn’t press the matter. “Probably best not to let Caedus wander too deep into the water. He has a tendency to sink. But, that’s what happens when you keep your pockets full of rocks.” He was amused at this thought, but perhaps serious enough to think it warranted letting Scylla know that she should be concerned, too. “As charming as your logic is, I’m inclined to tell you that I don’t know what to do with myself if I’m not working. So I suppose we’ll chalk this up to research. Now that you’ve mentioned shiny rocks and shells, I suppose it would be reckless to expose Caedus to something like that without a little extra precaution. He wanders. And, it would be rude of me to decline your invitation.” Especially because it had piqued his interest, and he wasn’t making any effort to hide as much. “You can set those bags down if you like. We’ll know if anyone’s getting close enough to be concerned. I’ll help you carry them when we leave. Come with me, we’ll go get Caedus, and you can strike your pitch to the others and see if anyone wants to tag along with us.” He nodded towards the barrier and took a step towards it, though he paused and held out a hand for her. He didn’t mind holding the bag she’d passed him, and he seemed comfortable with the idea of escorting her inside so they could collect the others.

Scylla couldn't stop her loud snort at Lyndin's dry assessment of Caedus' ability to float. Or not. He easily took one of the bags from her, and she beamed at him cheerfully. "No swimming for our friend, then," she agreed, "Scylla has great oceans but I'm not sure they're great for breathing. Unless you lot have a special set of lungs." He wanders, Lyndin commented, and Scylla snorted and then looked up at him with bright eyes. "I'm sure he could watch himself for five minutes. Besides, he would be out with a friend and I promise to have him home before 11, Daddy." A pause. "He does seem to wander though, doesn't he?" Her voice shook with repressed laughter as she began unloading bags. "I'm not sure he would make it to the six minute mark, so I suppose it is a good thing this is a Lyndin-napping, not just a Caedus-napping. Forced relaxation. You don't have to know what to do with yourself. I'll give you your marching orders today, Commodore, and tomorrow you will feel more refreshed than before." The bags were finushed being settled onto the ground and Scylla was vibrating with excitement, practically running across the grass and slapping her smaller, human, hand into his. "Is it a pitch if I'm simply saying 'my world glows, I'm kidnapping your leaders, come enjoy the plants and help me babysit'?" She squeezed his hand with excitement. "But seriously, Lyndin. Scylla's beautiful, and I'm not just saying that. Promise. I think you will have a good time. And I can almost guarantee you will get a kick out of the underwater plants. I have a whole town Caedus can wander in while I take you for a dive. He will have so much to look at that he won't get far." Another pause. "Probably. I don't want to underestimate him. He does seem to have a knack for finding trouble, bless him." The Space Cauldron Irreverence is her superpower. And kidnapping.

There were several things that Valnyr had begun to learn about this planet, but the concept of any form of vacation was very much lost on her at this particular moment in time. Thus, it should have come as a surprise to no one that the young woman was attending to her assigned duties as she was expected to do, while periodically flicking through the automated images that flashed up on the device upon her wrist.
It was safe to say that 'so much to learn and so little time' were completely valid in this scenario and she now understood what that meant. Nevertheless she would continue to do her best and it was for that reason that she didn't immediately take note of the fact that they had a visitor. That wasn't to say that she was intentionally ignoring Lyndin, Caedus or any of her fellow Cadets... but when one was focused on a task that didn't require much situational awareness then it was advantageous to utilize that 'focus' elsewhere.
She gave a double-take as she finally caught a glimpse of anomalous movement out of the corner of her eye though, and after a moment afforded herself the opportunity to take note of who was there. That was a senshi was it not? It was an assumption of course, but Scylla did seem to exhibit the qualities one might expect from them. Given her only experience at this point had been a mix of pages, she at least had something to compare her too.
...Scylla seemed awfully enthusiastic for being within their inner sanctuary though.
Was it really her business to pry or to query this? The machinations of her superiors were none of her concern and perhaps this senshi had been afforded an audience or had connections she didn't necessarily understand. That being said, she did pause in her study of the topic she had been reviewing on her comtech to observe the senshi more closely.
Or rather her body language.
There was something unique, almost whimsical, about how some of them moved and if she was to fit in then surely it would be of benefit for her to understand and learn how to emulate it, right?Infinites Scylla uses 'Hype', Valnyr is confused!
