Information

Faeries, or Fae, are a race that is native to the Feywild (A dimension parallel to the Material Plane made for Fey creatures). They are similar to their cousins, Pixies, in many ways and very different in others.

Faerie have both a large and small size. They can keep their small size for only an hour each day. This can be broken up over the course of the 24 hours.

Faerie can fly with their wings though they cannot fly very high or for long distances in their larger form (They would have some difficultly flying over gates or large buildings). They can, however, fly for longer/higher than normal when they are in their smaller size.

Faeries have very diverse personalities compared to Pixies. While most pixies tend to take on a more happy-go-lucky approach to life, Faeries can be just as stoic or dark as the next person. They do tend to enjoy pretty things, however, rather it be flowers or even glitter. They make excellent artists and Bards.

History

In the Feywild, Faeries have large beautiful cities that reflect all the colors and radiance of nature. Walking through their cities can be a maze, especially if you cannot become small enough to get through a certain tunnel or door. They built these cities with their own magic and not even the Elves can hold a candle to the natural beauty of them.

The origin of the Fae in the Material realm is a curious one that not even the Faeries are sure of. All they know is that one day portals to the Material Realm started appearing and whisked them away to a new world they've never been to. It's been a mystery that has caused a lot of them pause for thought, especially as some Faerie keep appearing. What will be next?

Queen Eliana has offered the Faeries shelter in Bastion's rise as they try to figure out why the portals happened and why it's been specifically the Fae (or is it?) as they have been unable to return to their own cities.
