Fall Fatigue (4): As the year winds down, a nasty ‘bug’ is being reported. In this new fall chill, people are reporting feeling particularly drained and fatigued. Scientists are puzzled because up to 25% of the city has reported experiencing this unnatural fatigue--and, more than that, the strange, foggy memory loss that accompanies it. It’s probably just a product of the season that people report seeing strange colored people and weird costumes before passing out. Most people make it back home and crash for twelve or more hours, so this isn’t a health crisis--just an inconvenience. Destiny City asks that you eat a balanced meal, get a lot of rest, and take care of yourself.

Cinta felt drained lately, and she wasn’t sure why that’s so. After all, Cinta made sure to maintain some level of consistency whether it’s keeping her sleep schedule steady… even though that sort of consistency drops like a hat sometimes… or eating three balanced meals each day… or keep her mind healthy by engaging with some nominal hobbies such as baking, cat sighting, making origami, and patrolling her local neighborhood. So this sort of unusual feeling, and a prolonged one at that, was simply bizarre! Unless… it was that nasty ‘bug.’

Upon reaching that conclusion after days and fretting and futile adjustments to her daily routine, Cinta couldn’t help but worry. Fortunately, this bug didn’t seem contagious… but it did not seem smart to do much else for the day once again, which honestly was a bummer. She shifted her tote bag slightly- it was filled with assorted treats that were made with care. Not only she meant to consume some as her sweets of her choice at some point, she also had some that were safe for any cat to eat. She also had planned to stroll to the park in search of some feline friends to feed… but alas, that no longer sounded like a good idea. With this in mind, Cinta sighed in defeat, turned around to face the opposite direction.. or ground, as her head and eyes felt quite heavy, and decided with finality to head back home to rest.

As she walked, Cinta couldn’t help but notice that something was amiss. She wasn’t quite expecting much company to begin with, but it occurred to her that the various people walking within vicinity were dressed in vibrantly colored costumes.

“Wow.. what? What am I seeing? How strange… I think I better get home super quick now…” Cinta whispered to herself as she mustered all of her willpower to speedily walk back home.

Once she was in the comfort of her room, Cinta gingerly laid down her tote, crawled into bed, and simply passed out in the end. She had no idea why this bug keeps on persisting, but as usual, whenever she woke up, she barely remembered anything at all or what she saw, much to her dismay.

“I hope that I feel better soon…” Cinta sighed to herself.
