Quote: Alien Abductions (2) : Destiny City’s had an overwhelming amount of reports of strange lights in the sky. No one can get anything verifiable on camera, and the few videos that have been circulating seem like they could have easily been doctored. There’s been a strange uptick in reports of alien abductions, but the City can’t seem to verify anything, and at this point in time it seems like it’s just people looking for attention. However, there’s a temporary ban on civilian-owned drones until this whole thing clears up. The afternoon, almost evening, breeze felt good on his body after having been cooped up inside for hours previous and the brown haired teen stretched his arms above his head for a moment to enjoy it farther. Seeing how Kai was 'in the know' about the war that has been going on between 'order' and 'chaos' factions for a while now thanks to Xi-Wang, he wasn't really surprised when rumors of alien abductions started to crop up. Whether it was in fact an alien species that is here currently abducting people, one of the faction sides stirring up rumors, or maybe just they typical random and strange happenstance that is bound to happen in this city around holiday times, he had no clue.
What he did know was it was something that was pretty far from his mind right now as he walked down the side walk to meet up with Xi-Wang at a near by store. Kai himself had just got off work helping out at his Father's restaurant and had asked Xi-Wang if he wanted to go costume shopping when he was free. Granted he wasn't sure if he would put said costume to use but hey, part of the fun was looking for one in the first place right?

Xi-Wang had not celebrated Halloween for a good part of his childhood, thanks to his mother and her radical beliefs, so he had spent the time away from her trying top recapture his lost youth - that included Halloween. He'd talked to his sister about it as well and had a feeling she'd do something for the holiday as well. He knew she'd want to surprise him which was why he hadn't asked her to join him and Kai in costume shopping, something he was still thinking hard about. He really didn't know what he wanted to dress as for the holiday, there were so many options to choose from, but he was sure with some help from Kai he would figure something out.
Waiting outside the shop Kai had mentioned earlier, in a text message, Xi-Wang huddled down a bit into the hoodie he wore. It was slowly getting chillier out as fall set in. Soon it would be time for hot pot, more often than they already had it, and other nice warm foods that would leave a person feeling full and content. He just hoped nothing happened this Halloween but with talk of alien abductions flitting about the city he doubted the city would remain peaceful. This city, and the holidays, seemed to honestly be cursed by something.
Maybe after shopping he and Kai could grab hot pot...he'd heard of a new place which had opened, and it wasn't in the cities China town district. It was some little tucked away area in a residental part of the city. He'd heard it was good though.

If Kai had been asked right then and there what type of costume he was looking to get he had no idea, not even the slightest. But then he would also point out that added to the fun of looking for one in the first place as you left yourself so many options and possibilities of you went in blind. Not to mention it might turn out that Xi-wang and himself would want to dress up in a theme and it would be better to have what type of theme open for discussion.
His mind wandered a little bit at the thought of what type of theme, as well as wondering if they might see about getting a costume for Gabriel while they were at it but pushed those thoughts to the side for now when he spotted Xi-wang in the distance. He smiled and gave a wave to the other in an attempt to catch his attention as he continued to shorten the distance between them. "Did I keep you waiting for long?" He asked when he was within talking range.
Spotting how huddled the other was, he hesitated for only a moment then slid over and cuddled right to Xi-Wang's side. "Cold? You could have gone into the store without me if you wanted, I wouldn't have minded you trying to keep from being chilled." While he was touched the other has waited for him, he certainly wouldn't have held it against him for going in to warm up a bit. Though stores tended to be on the chilly side of things at times at least it wouldn't have had a breeze that Xi-Wang would have to put up with and a quick text to let him know where to look would have been enough.
