Arsenolite whistled as he prowled the streets, feeling very good about himself. He'd already gotten plenty of energy tonight, yet he craved more. He wanted so badly to finally take a starseed from someone and bring it home. Add to the stockpile. He shivered with delight at the thought, a pleasant chill going up his spine and throughout his body, settling nicely at the tips of his fingers. Yes, he'd do that tonight. He was sure of it.
....And then, of course, there came an Order aura flaring nearby. Well. If he wanted to accomplish his goal, he'd have to work quickly. Glancing around, he spotted someone and slammed them against the wall, arm in their neck and hand in their chest before they could so much as inhale to scream.
"You're mine," he crooned, "Don't worry. Your soul's going to a good cause."

if there was one thing that was guaranteed to make Fólkvangr angry, it was seeing someone pull a starseed. Doubly so if it was someone who seemed to be enjoying it. She was absolutely furious, seeing this Lieutenant with some innocent civilian pinned against the wall, a hand in their chest, and she knew that she had to step in and stop it.
She was not going to allow this to go on.
The good news was, this Lieutenant seemed very wrapped up in what he was doing, and so she moved up behind him, opened her fan, and tapped it against his shoulder, calling on her magic. In a voice as sweet and syrupy as honey, she purred in his ear.
"You're going to put that starseed back, Lieutenant. And then you're going to let that poor civilian go, and you're going to tell me why you thought that was a good idea."Quote: Magic: Fólkvangr taps one target with her fan, and they begin to smell something that to them will resemble whatever they desire most - a person, a thing, a place, or anything at all - and will be infused with a certainty that Fólkvangr has it and can give it to them. For as long as Fólkvangr is channeling, the affected targets will feel compelled to do whatever she wants in order to earn her favor and receive it. This compulsion can be resisted if she gives an order or asks a question that goes wholly against their nature or would likely result in their death or an impermissible identity reveal. Fólkvangr can channel for up to 30 seconds.

Arsenolite had known there was someone nearby. He'd known that, and he'd still somehow left himself exposed. Annoyed at the little bap, he turned to tell her off—that was, until her magic began working and he blissed out, letting go of the civilian and their starseed, letting them drop to the ground and skedaddle away.
"Uh, duh, we need them?" he said, tilting his head to the side, "To keep us strong. Grow our ranks."
She smelled so good. He wanted her. So badly. She smelled like a mechanics shop, but sexy, somehow.

"Oh, darling," Fólkvangr sighed, unhappily, "that's a very terrible answer. There's no duh about killing people."
She smacked his cheek with her fan, giving him a very deep frown. "Why are you choosing to kill this person? I don't want to hear the platitudes the Negaverse feeds you, boy. I want to hear how you justify it to yourself."
She needed to know. She knew, certainly, how she'd bent herself around in knots--she'd chosen people who were hurting other people, and she'd rarely pulled starseeds, just taking energy and cash--but she doubted this man was the same.
"So tell me. Explain yourself. Why do you kill."

Arsenolite made a confused sound when he was hit in the face with her fan. It certainly didn't hurt, but it felt like disappointment, and he didn't want to disappoint the lovely lady with the amazing smell. He didn't want to get punished by her, to make her punish him.
"Easy target," he answered, "Walking alone, dead of the night..." He shrugged. "Makes the people on your side veryyyy angry."
He smirked a bit. "And the control... Such a rush," he said with a gusty sigh. He was coming back to his senses, now. "And you let my little plaything get away. Too bad. Guess that makes you my next plaything."
He lunged forward, hand outstretched. If he took home a Knight starseed... Well.

Fólkvangr sighed, and she ceased channeling her magic, and then, at the same moment, she brought up her knee to slam it into his gut. She was out of time to make demands, out of time to ask questions. And he was going for her starseed.
But, ugh. He was after power. Of course he was--so many agents were. She had been too, once.
It was depressing, really, how the Negaverse preyed on the same weak minds, over and over again.
"That was genuinely utterly disappointing," she said. "You're like every other miserable idiot in the Negaverse, aren't you?"

Arsenolite grunted as she kneed him, sending him to his own knees. Well, s**t. She was a little spitfire, wasn't she?
"Not miserable," he countered, staying on the ground, shifting to put one foot down, at least, then chin in hand and elbow on knee, "I don't think I've ever felt more alive. Might be a bit better if it wasn't for you messing up my plans tonight, but.."
He smirked again, looking her up and down again, getting a nice view. "This ain't so bad."

Fólkvangr narrowed her eyes. This was both the fun and the unfun part of her outfit being what it was; but it clearly had him lowering his guard, and that was the best thing for her right now. Even if she felt sort of gross because of how she was going to take advantage of it
"Pa. The. Tic," she said, enunciating each syllable to press into his brain how sad she found him. Then, she kicked up, driving her foot up under his chin in an effort to knock him back over and out. If he got a look at her bloomers, who cared. He could take as many eyefuls as he wanted; she was going to beat him into the ground like the worm he was, and that was that. At least the civilian had gotten away, which meant that this time, she had accomplished her primary goal.

Arsenolite knew his ogling would be punished, and wow, the stars he saw were totally worth it. She really knew how to treat a guy well. He relished in the pain, letting himself be knocked back so he could execute a backwards somersault and vault to his feet. His jaw ached pleasantly and he grinned sharply.
"You know you love it," he crooned, fists up but more defensively than offensively. This was fun, but he was getting to the point he'd rather be home. Alone. Since he doubted he would convince her to go home with him and give him a little more of this treatment.
"How about we both just walk away?" he suggested, "Unless you'd like to come home with me."
Hey, just because he doubted she'd say yes didn't mean he wouldn't shoot his shot. You only miss 100% of the shots you don't take, right?

"You're a pig," Fólkvangr spat, "and someday, someone higher up the chain of command than you is going to take issue with your antics, Lieutenant."
Captian Erythrite wouldn't have tolerated it. General Cinnabar would have shown this pathetic little pig what for. Had all the good women left the Negaverse, and now it was down to miserable bastards like this?
"Get out of here, and maybe I'll let you walk away. Touch me on your way past, and I'll break every single finger in the hand you put on me, one by one." She said it in a way that she hoped left no doubt that she was serious. Purified she might be, but the Captain that had ruthlessly hunted traitors was still at her core.

Arsenolite smirked. "Okay. No touchy Emperor Kuzco," he said soothingly, ignoring her comment about someone in the Negaverse getting mad with him. That would require anyone to be paying attention to his conduct with the Order rabble in their little ... the ******** was the word. Teat-ah-teat? Meh.
"See you next time, girlie," he teased as he walked by, hands still up so she could see he wasn't about to touch her.

She watched him with cold, hard eyes, and took a step to give him some berth to walk past her. There was no way she was letting him get within arm's reach.
Once he was past her, she took off in the opposite direction, into the night.
She hoped she never ran into him again, ugh.
