Mycenae used his shoulder to push open the front door to Harker and Jean's little shop, and let it shut behind him, shifting his grip briefly to lock the door. Otherwise, though, he kept Herker--the Lieutenant Harker was, apparently--held in his arms, close to his chest.

"Jean?" He called. "It's Tristan. Jon's gone, you--can you come downstairs?"

God, he hoped Jean recognized his voice. Believed it was him. This whole thing was awful, and stressful, but it was going to be alright. He had to believe that.

Romanite just sighed, letting the Squire man handle him as they entered the shop. "He's at the back. I shoved him in a back room just incase my brother decided to check any of the nearby apartments." In true spooky store fashion, they had put in a false wall, that led to a secret room. He didn't think they'd actually have any use for it though.... "Put me down... I can walk, just let me lean on you." Romanite did not look at the other once. Whether out of embarrassment, or grief was anyone's guess. It was no sooner he said that, then he heard the sound of something heavy sliding against the floor. "You don't know how to wait at all do you..."

Jean appeared around the corner of a shelf, gaze bouncing between the two of them before warily looking out the window. "...So he finally tracked us down huh...? I'm sorry. I thought I did a better job of covering our tracks. I didn't think he'd come to check the city." Though... Given Harker's mother was here, he supposed it was only a matter of time. Finally Jean's gaze fell on the pair. "...We uh... We don't have a Mauvian to cover signatures... Belmont is just a regular cat. Whatever we're doing... We better make this quick."

"Ah," Mycenae said, and he did let Romanite down, but mostly out of a desire not to fight with him. He still kept an eye on him, and offered an arm for him to lean on.

They didn't have much time, he knew, and he flashed Jean a wry grin when he came out and said as much.

"I'm sorry," he said, "but I'm glad to know you're in on this, too. Negaverse, then?" He asked. It seemed the best guess, if he knew who Romanite was. "Senshi or officer?"

Not that it mattered, and he would have plenty of time to figure it out later.

"Whatever we're doing," Mycenae said, "is getting a General-Sovereign to corrupt me. Jon knows who I am, now--but frankly, even if he didn't, I want to come over to your side." He hissed between his teeth. "My sister died as a Knight. And I doubt the Negaverse killed her--your lot leave behind bodies, but no one ever found Aderyn's. So someone on her own side is the reason she's dead, and tonight...I found out that the ancestor watching over my Wonder is a monster."

He didn't want to elaborate. Would, if they asked, but didn't want to.

"Can you call someone? I don't know enough to ask for a specific one."

"I told you. I'm in the Negaverse because of my gory details." Romantie gestured towards Jean half heartedly. "How else do you think I know him. How many friends did I ever keep, Tristan. Jean offered me a way out and I took it. I didn't care about the rest." Romanite scowled at the mention of a Sovereign, though the look quickly morphed into one of horror as Tristan mentioned his sister.

No.

Aderyn didn't deserve that.

"Suppose it is a good thing they're dead then." Romanite glanced at Jean, before turning towards the Squire. "The Negaverse might leave bodies, but it would not be the first time we didn't."

"Officer Orthoclase. At your service..." Jean even made a show by bowing, though when he stood, his normal clothes gave way to a uniform. "Though, I wish it were under less... dire situations." He nodded softly. "I can call someone, yeah." Ortho pulled out his communicator. "This is Lieutenant Orthoclase... Lieutenant Romanite and I need some assistance with a Corruption, if there's a Sovereign avaliable?" He said, shying away under the glare Romanite shot his way.

Axinite must have always been on his tablet, waiting for calls; either the other General Sovereigns were busy with their tasks, or he was just always so fast that he never gave them the chance to answer first. Only fifteen seconds after the message was sent out, General King Axinite appeared near to them.

He was put together, at least insofar as it didn’t appear that they had interrupted him from anything but paperwork.

“Lieutenants,” he greeted, perhaps a bit impressed that it was two of them requesting help with a corruption and not a more seasoned officer. He bowed his head in polite greeting to both of them, and then to Mycenae--who he assumed was willing, because no one seemed particularly distressed or anxious to have him for backup.

“...How may I be of assistance?”

Obviously he knew he was there for a corruption, but he didn't like to go into anything without information.

Romanite and Orthoclase. Mycene committed those names to memory, though he wasn't sure it would hold for long. He knew enough to know that you lost pieces of yourself, when you corrupted, and he would just have to hold on to the ones he did have.

The General-Sovereign's aura was shocking. Crushing. Mycenae had never been in the presence of one before; it made him wilt, a little, to be under it. But he stood firm, and bowed at the waist--this was a sovereign, was it not, and there were appropriate protocols, especially since he was in essence asking for a favor.

"My name is Mycenae of Mercury," he introduced himself, "and I've asked Romanite and Orthoclase for their assistance in corrupting into the Negaverse. I'm choosing this for reasons that are complex--but I know the risks. I know what I'll lose. I don't care."

In case it proved his bona fides at all, he reached under the ruff of his uniform and produced Quartz's stickpin. "I served as an informant for one of your agents, General Quartz, for a time, though I haven't had any contact with him recently. If that's proof that I'm not lying or attempting some sort of subterfuge, here."

Romanite surprised a flinch when the Sovereign appeared. Their aura was always so overwhelming. He detangled himself from the Squire and seemed to put a bit of a distance between them. The Lieutenant rolled his eyes at Myc's display but said nothing more on it. "There was an... altercation." Romanite said flatly, irritated with himself more then anything. "Figured corruption was a better alternative then, well..." He shrugged, leaving it to their imagination. "If anything, it's a new Captain instead of another Lieutenant." And given he seemed to already be in leagues with one of theirs... Well, he wouldn't need much training.

Orthoclase on the other hand, let out a yelp when Axinite appeared. "I knew you were fast... But I didn't expect that fast." He fell quiet though after that, just watching and listening to the others as they spoke. Ortho glanced at Myc when he produced the hair pin, curious as to how long he'd had ties to the Negaverse

“Apologies,” Axinite said, out of courtesy and because he meant it, no doubt. “I didn’t mean to startle you. I don’t like to waste time.”

He didn’t like to see people fall into traps, either. Even if he was reassured that there was nothing nefarious about this plan, he still took in what he could of their surroundings, and paid close attention to any would-be energy signatures.

He looked at the stickpin, with a distant expression. He hadn’t seen one in years, but he remembered Quartz in his office.

He had no reason to doubt the honesty of Mycenae’s words.

“We’ll be glad to have you, Mycenae. You’ll forgive me if I don’t delay. I trust that you’ve made all the necessary preparations.”

His hand was on the Squire’s chest, and then through it. His hand wrapped around the starseed. “We’ll take care of you after this. If you have anything more to do or say, make it now.”

And, he waited. And then, when Mycenae was ready, he pushed the Chaos into him.

It hurt, having Axinite's hand in his chest.

There were things Mycenae might have wanted to say. Words of assurance to Romanite and Orthoclase. But he hesitated to say them in front of a General-King--he couldn't be sure how Axinite would take to a declaration of love in the middle of a corruption.

Surely, though, they had to know.

Even still.

"Dwi'n caru'r ddau ohonoch chi," he said, and he hoped Romanite remembered enough of what he'd taught him before of Welsh to know what he'd said. At least this would remain private, for the three of them.

And then, the Chaos burned into his veins, and he grit his teeth to bite back a cry of pain.

Black bled over his uniform, turned sleeker and darker by Chaos, and the shillelagh became a proper staff with a heavy orb on the end. A bludgeoning weapon that would carry him well.

When it was all over, a Captain of the Negaverse stood in Mycenae's place.

"Ffyc," he gasped, knees weak from the pain. "******** src="https://graphics.gaiaonline.com/images/s.gif" alt="User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Romanite said nothing, shying further away from the abundance of chaos. He sucked in a shaky breathe, as he looked anywhere but the Squire. "....Rwy'n gwybod. Rwy'n dy garu di hefyd..." He muttered quietly to himself.

And then it was over as quickly as it began. "Ah.. Uh..." Romanite cleared his throat, trying not to stumble further over words. "T-thank you General King... Would you, uh, like some tea? I can bring it to your office if you want." Any excuse to get out of this store. Out of sight.

Orthoclase waved a hand. "No. You don't need to apologize. Truth be told. This is my first time doing this with a Sovereign. I wasn't sure how fast you responded, I guess I dropped my guard. Lesson learned, I suppose."

When the corruption was over, he tentatively moved towards the Captain, offering himself as something solid to lean again. "Be glad you did that willingly." Ortho said, brushing bangs from the other man's face. "Forced Corruption is a whole nother ball game, from what I've heard." He threw Romanite a funny look, as the other seemed to be anywhere but there, but glanced towards the Sovereign once more. "We will do our best to get him more acclimated to how we work." Now that he didn't need an informant. "The... only thing left is a name?"

Axinite’s eyes lingered on the Captain for a moment, like he was making sure everything was fine. When he withdrew his hand, he nodded. “A name, yes.”

He offered an apologetic smile to the agents. “It’s a generous offer, thank you. Let’s take a rain check on that, I want to get you all out of here. I have snacks in my office, and a bit of tea if you want something now. You can all relax for a bit and figure out what you want to do if you don’t already have a plan, I don’t mind if you want to borrow my office. I have snacks, too. I know this whole thing can be a bit draining.”

He looked at the ex-Knight and smiled. “I can get you in our system, too. How does Siegenite sound?”

The new Captain's head spun, as he tried to put together exactly what had happened. He had, at best, a fragmented trail of what had led him here--but there was a great, yawning void when he tried to poke too deep at any memories of what had led up to this moment, leaning on someone that looked--that was---Jean, but in a strange uniform, and--

There was power in the air, and all of it was attached to the man who was withdrawing a hand from his chest. The one that called him Siegenite.

"....It'll do," he said, and his voice was a little strained. "I think....I'm going to need the long explanation."

Because apparently he had chosen this, but he was no longer entirely sure what this was.

"So, yes. Your office. Sir," because it seemed polite, not that he knew anything about this.

So much to learn. To re-orient.

But hew had to admit, he felt powerful. And he felt certain that even though he couldn't quite remember the whys or wherefores, this was what he had wanted.
