Enthralled from beyond the barrier - group that had gathered before it, and stepping out. That first time, eying them from a distance like someone assessing a threat. An ally. Sizing them up and finding them stunning in their varied nature.
Each one some different iteration of color and dress and tone. Some that glowed, and maybe those were the leaders? Most powerful amongst them for how they shown in such a wide array of patterns. For how their glowing markings made them stand out amongst the rest?
How the notion of all that had turned to confusion - when he finally deigned to meet one in person - and his shock for seeing her so...plain? Lovely, but she lacked the glow.
He almost wanted to pout for that. Sucked up and sucked in a breath and introduced himself. Because he had questions, but beyond that? He wanted things - for himself - something more permanent than a sunrise or a sweetened Boba drink - with its fleeting moments of saccharine chewy joy.
No, Tenoch wanted something he could take home in remembrance. Permanent proof to show to the others - to wear on the skin that lay skin beneath his skin. Maybe he could offer something in exchange for this - for whatever power the Senshi and Knights wore in glowed tones on their bodies.
An exchange of information in order to gain 'that'.
"I'm Itztenoch by the way, ah, Tenoch? That seems easier. A nickname of sorts......" smile that softened out of severity, held himself sturdy before her, like he expected to be inspected. "It's very good to finally meet one of our allied....commanders?" and how exactly were they to be addressed, rank and hierarchical structure to be scaled?
Whatever.
This was the one who had granted them the plastic and chipped funding cards, and who had been very devoted to Cad? Supposedly? At least seen around him time and again in fleeting glances...
So long as he got what he wanted. Lovely glowing marks.

It had been somewhat a surprise when her presence had been requested, and Scylla had shown up without her vehicle, in possession of a few things that would allow for a comfortable trip. After her outing with Silvera, she found it would likely be easier to move about if she was just... Jada... and so after her presence had been acknowledged by the aliens as a member of Order, she powered down, leaning against a tree and closing her eyes, awaiting the one who was in need of her today. It was so pleasant in the area- it smelled like it had recently been raining, and the earth was fresh and loamy, filling. There was a shocking lack of sound in the area, even knowing that there almost had to be activity beyond the barrier; Velencyan tech was truly a marvel. Her purple eyes opened at the sound of footsteps on the grass, the soft crunch of steps not her own. "Hello Itztenoch," she chirped, and the short woman held out a delicate hand to greet the alien in human fashion, "I am Jada, I'll be your escort. And yes, I'd like to call you Tenoch. Nicknames are common on earth, and I think it would pass better as a human name than your full name." It took her a moment to register Comander, and try and translate it to what he meant. "No, I'm not a commander. Just call me Jada while we are out and about today." She gazed over him with only vague curiosity, noting the differences between himself and Caedus. Velenians had skin colors and differences as varied as humans, though far more fascinating to the human eye. "So what are we doing today?" Jada asked at last, brightly. "Snacks? Parks? A local museum?"

*Soft* - and Tenoch found those were the first things he noted about everything he came across. The textures and sights and smells. The whole of earth an assault on the senses in one form or another. This one though? The Jada. He found that she was soft, in color of eye that made him think of his brethren, in waves of hair that fell off her shoulders. Delicate skin and he rubbed his thumb over her knuckles out of mild fascination more than anything else as he returned the handshake with an awkward grasping of his own. A shame that she wasn’t a commander, she held the aura of one. Even without the glow and wings that had graced her in glimpses before, Itztenoch couldn’t help but feel; as he looked down and met her smile, that she would have been good at taking lead of men and women alike. She had something of a ‘presence’. Ah well “Jada My Escort it is then --“ and it sounded like some type title at least? Better to address her properly as he picked over the bevy of places on offer, and they all sounded as strange and wondrous as the rest of the planet, but….. “Ah - * actually* - I was hoping to doff the genetic guise and - well? If it’s possible to seek the place which you and yours gained the lovely markings from?” and tenoch splayed the fingers of his other hand - traced the air - and he remembered she’d had spirals that matched his own birthmark so well - only a thousand times more brilliant in its glow. Then the other had held flash lightning marks in purple… And another…. He wanted that.

Soft was not an inaccurate assessment of Jada. But Jada my Escort had the short woman squinting. "Let's try something a little more... Earth-friendly. While escort is technically an appropriate term, we're wandering around the city close to the evening, and it's likely to be misunderstood as me being... something other than your guide." she left it vague, and hopefully the alien wouldn't ask, but if he did... welp. Guess she'd be having the Talk with an alien. His actually got her attention, and Jada re-focused her consideration on the alien, blinking for a moment. "Our lovely markings?" she repeated, slightly blankly, before she realized the way his hands were moving. Swirls and spirals, and Jada made an O-face as dots connected, and she pulled out her henshi pen. It took only a moment for soft Jada to be replaced with the glow of Scylla, and she held out a thin, glowing, arm to the alien. "You mean these markings?" she asked him, wanting to be very clear as to what he was seeking. Transcendence tattoos would not be in her power to give, but regular tattoos could be. And with his skin color, a white-ink tattoo could be quite lovely, as well as brightening in the right kind of light to be highly visible.

Slow lavender blink, and he thought that her purpose in statement was earth friendly enough, but if she wanted something else? "Oh, hmm..it's not my intent to reveal your Senshidom though? Maybe just 'Jada' then." a soft nod as he wrapped his arms around himself briefly, couldn't parse how her escorting him through the city could've been parsed any other way, but humans had proven to become strange over the oddest of things. Words seemed to have as many meanings as they didn't. Better to let it lie. The way his focus tightened on her form, the beauty in it, just shy of a gasp, fingers that left near dents as he clung only to avoid touching. In one moment she was herself - simple carbon based thing made of soft flesh and hair - and the next - in a flicker of magic - and in seeing it, he understood very well why so many of his brethren hoped for their Senshi to appear somewhere amongst the populace. "Yes!" wonderment, and he was staring, helplessly amorous, the look only marred by a tint of confusion as he realized the one failed to carry over onto the other. "You don't...you're unable to keep them? Is there no way.." other than magic, or the cats his pod members chatted on fervently or..."I just. I wanted something to keep from here" something that time and distance couldn't have erased, something more than knowledge "and I've seen others with the markings during outings..only...they were far less vibrant"

"Jada will do quite nicely," she said cheerfully to the alien, "Or you can say your friend, or your guide, if our relationship is asked about." Not that it should be. Her head tilted as those purple-skinned arms reached up to hug himself. "You may also simply call me Jay, though you need to say my name in a hurry. My family and close friends all call me that as a sign of affection, and it is only fair you can use my nickname if I can use yours, Tenoch." Her eyes, brighter purple than his own, crinkled at the corners with the wideness of her joyful, beaming smile. Yes! Tenoch cried, and Scylla watched his delight as he took in the flowing, ombre marks of her Transcension markings. "I am not able to keep these markings, no." Scylla's face turned down in apology. "These markings, and the glowing markings you may have seen on others, are magical. They... are proof of a bond with our homeworld, or our Wonder. So I cannot keep them as Jada, for to wear them while I was her would be to announce myself to the whole Negaverse." But he wanted to keep something, and the senshi hummed thoughtfully. "I may have an idea. Back in my homeworld. long ago, my people were able to paint themselves, make themselves glow like this. And there are paints here on Earth that do something similar. Let me see if..." and Scylla was gone in the next moment, replaced again with the soft, non-magical Jada "We have something similar here, and I know we have blacklights. I think there are possibly even UV inks." She pulled out her cell phone and shifted position so that the alien would be able to look over her shoulder. Blacklight Tattoos, she googled first. And then followed it down the rabbit hole, making sure Tenoch could follow along. "So this is a UV tattoo," she said, gesturing to the image of a glowing tattoo on her phone screen, "It's a special kind of ink, and it will glow under a special kind of light. Those lights are easy enough to come by, and I can send some with you when you return home. It won't last forever, but it should be fine for a few years." Pulling up another image, she said, "And these tattoos are white, and neon. They won't glow PROPERLY, but it can give you an illusion of glowing. And with your skin, a white ink tattoo could look fantastic."

Hummed for the sound of Jada - friend and guide and - in a relationship of those two things. Yes. Tenoch mused he would endeavor to remember all of that. Didn't wish to put her in any position of awkwardness when she had offered up so much of her free time and -- according to earth? Finances in the form of plastic rectangles. Digital currency, such an odd thing for the people to demand nonexistent payment for goods and services that existed in abundance. Tenoch still struggled to wrap his head around 'paying' for food, when the humans he'd seen so far seemed to be practically tripping over it. "Jay -- it sounds like a birdsong. I hope to one day be considered close enough to call you by this then. Jada." settled on a smile, preened a bit to hear his name used as such. The way the other cadets did. Bonded brothers and sisters and how they developed little ways of shortening things as their closeness had grown - commonality that the humans did it as well. He latched onto that shared thing. Held hope for it even as he frowned at realizing he was wrong about her markings. She was Senshi. She was stunning and the magic was equally as strange to him as anything else. He understood bonds though --- "That is a shame then, because the markings are very lovely...I want that thing though. Proof of - being here? Of bonding here with all of this. With my fellow cadets, with this planet." not that Tenoch feared he wouldn't be believed, but he did fear that he would forget. That if everything was successful and he returned home, how Earth and it's people would become a distant dream. Their people lived a long time....longer than the humans..and how they would all be gone ten generations and reborn anew by time he was old... He'd determined that he needed a thing stronger than memory. Longer than age. Something with staying power. Like the markings... A tattoo though... "A Tattoo?" Understood UV as it pertained to the planets sun. Bright warm globe that granted them all the best things -- like the grass -- How his eyes lit up for the sight of them shown across her phone. Pulled himself up and close and " I want this thing." wanton whisper as he reached out almost to touch - - "Even if the glow fades -- will the ink last? I can show the others back home -- and maybe -- marking's are such a stunning thing that your people commit themselves to." Maybe it would've become popular, maybe he could share it and make them love the idea like he did? Maybe he could contribute that way - and oh how he wanted to - with every new image - add it to himself and -- "How do I get this thing? Also--also--how do I repay you for this thing which I am getting." itched for feeling like he owed her - over and over again how that rang clear. Their love of Caedus and how that had granted them so much good will from the White moon and Knights alike. He didn't like owing people, not even for their kindness, especially when he didn't feel like he could repay them properly. There was the mission and their goals yes, but this felt like something more - something personal he was taking up her precious time for.

She had never heard her nickname described as birdsong. How lyrical, and the heiress beamed to have such a delightful spin to a nickname she had always thought of as just a silly child's shortening. "I am sure once our tasks are over the chance will be had." She spun on a heel, looking out at the nothing that surrounded the place where the Velencyans had landed- just trees, and peace. "Surely your people will need ambassadors and the like. Who better than someone who is interested in the world, yes?" Especially with his interest in tattoos, and a bonding. Jada could understand that- wanting something visual. Something that couldn't be taken as easily as memories, or lost like a photograph. "The ink itself will last for... oh, decades, if you take care of it. Nothing lasts forever, of course." She flipped to another page, checking out information. "Black inked tattoos will last a lot longer than the white ink, at least with humans. But tattoos themselves have been a part of human culture for centuries. I imagine there would be more than enough time to take the concept and some research back to your people to try and come up with your own versions that would last a lot longer." His concern for repaying her made Jada smile again. "It is a gift. No need to repay me. You came to help us, Tenoch; and money is something easy for me, unlike some of the other senshi." Once again using Google, she pulled up a few tattoo shops. "These are the ones with good ratings around here. Not everyone will have walk-in availability, but we can probably work with them." Also known as bribing. The people whose slot she'd be snagging would probably LOVE to get their tattoo for free in exchange for appointment swapping. Right? Right.
