I completely forgot that I was subscribed to any guilds and my jaw dropped to the floor when I saw this one!
I had completely forgotten about it, as I've been on and off Gaia for years!
Is anyone still here?
So many familiar/new names everywhere but no activity.
Maybe we can breath some life into this place, who knows!
But I'm hoping that someday, someone will see this and respond to it.

I've come and gone throughout the years but since like... 2017 I've become an active lurker.
I just can't bring myself to completely leave the site that has been part of my life for literal decades, yah know?

My goodness, what a surprise to see some activity here.
I'm going to be honest. I largely left this hole of a site when the devs made the decisions that they did that lost all of my respect. I largely assumed that the guild was finished too and eventually stopped logging in.
This place came up in conversation recently, so on a whim I decided to pop in and imagine my surprise to see some signs of life. I hope that you're still both doing well.

When I left the guild was pretty well dead and the site had completely and entirely lost my trust. It lost most everyone's trust, which was why the guild was dead in the first place. Now Lanzer is back, but at this point... Who cares? There was no apology, no admission of wrong-doing, and no promises that it wouldn't happen again. I was no longer willing to put the kind of time into a place that I knew that I couldn't trust. Most folks that I was close to here and could still get in contact with I had since added to Facebook, so there was hardly a point in trying to rebuild it. Of course let me know if you don't know what I mean by the site having lost my trust. I know that I've kind of talked it to death, but I don't know that I had done so here.

The tl;dr goes like this. They sold halos which they promised they wouldn't, they sold gold gens that ruined the economy forever on Gaia, and basically ran the site into the ground. When the founders got control of the site again, there was no apology, there was no assurance that it wouldn't happen again, and there were no real returns of any visible signs of integrity or accountability, so ******** 'em and ******** this. I definitely couldn't be a part of this like I used to be. I closed my wallet to them forever and just check in once in a long while, because occasionally old friends show up.

I once spent money on gaia, and I regretted it because I was unaware that some items are chance items and I was unable to choose an item I wanted that I bought. I forgot what it was, but I never again spent money on gaia. It's good to hear from you again!

I was honestly hella salty about RIGs too, but honestly, considering how much worse things got it it almost seems silly now. I still didn't like them, but they are so far down the list of "Lesser evils" that I kind of ran out of ******** to give, truth be told. I did love it here once, but the days Gaia being named on a list of Websites of the Year are long past, and will never, ever return.
