The text message that Scylla had powered up to had translated roughly to ‘screw chaos, let’s fight’ and that was a great way to start. Really. Enthusiastically. Violently. And the sender, one Sailor Skoll, was one that she remembered pretty well from several recent battles and from some old ones as well- Skoll had been present when Caedus had first come to Earth, and been one of the people to respond when she had called for help many years ago when Scholomance was in danger. Skoll had helped save one of Scylla’s friends, which actually kind of made them one of Scylla’s friends by default. (She wondered if the other senshi had kept the IOU.)

One text had led to another, and Jada had convinced Skoll to let Scylla treat her to dinner. Some Korean BBQ, in fact, at a tasty little hole-in-the-wall that didn’t much care if they were a terrorist as long as they paid. And paid WELL- the prices on the menu for someone in fuku (or Chaos uniform) was more than double the prices if they weren’t, and they didn’t even get a table, they had to eat in the back alley sitting on boxes. But the food sure was good, and there was a standing threat that the place was neutral territory- no fighting allowed or the food stopped.

Frankly, Jada hoped they would hit it off on the way to the restaurant so that they could power down and enjoy a nice table and the full experience, but she was going to let Skoll lead the way on that front. Not everyone was very trusting on the side of Order, and for good reason; Jada was somewhat careless at times with her own identity, and it had almost bit her on the a** more than once. Almost. Luckily she hadn’t been compromised yet, though, and she was going to continue along. Besides- if the Negaverse hadn’t come for her family to seek a bank roll, they were highly unlikely to believe a 29-year-old mother and almost-billionaire was running around at night flinging tentacles at people.

It was almost like they’d never heard of Batman.

They had agreed to meet a couple of blocks from the restaurant, and Scylla was in ‘uniform’, sitting comfortably and scrolling on her senshi phone, trying not to bounce her leg. She was getting the hang of this by now- she really was.

Scylla was able to feel the approaching senshi before she could see them, and she turned her attention away from her idle scrolling to focus on the approaching aura. So when Skoll dropped down and began to move towards her, the Senshi of The Kraken didn't jump or startle. "No worries, Skoll." She tucked her phone away into a pocket in her fuku- bless magical skirts- and gave the other senshi her full attention. "I hope the kitty's okay? I have one of my own, and I can't imagine how the owner is feeling." Her face fell into a frown, her brow tucking together before smoothing it away.

"Thank you for coming to meet me, too. I am certain everyone is a little busy, but I'm hoping my idea will excite people enough to give up some of that precious free time of theirs."

Or at least her offer to treat them to donner would be appealing enough for them to at least hear her out.

Scylla smiled to hear the kitty was well. "The cone of shame never hurt anybody," she said cheerfully, "I'm glad it'll be okay. But also-" she made a face, sticking out her tongue dramatically, "Top Ramen? Ten days in a row? No thanks, I ate it once and it was the worst. Send me a message any time, we always have leftovers at the very least, and it's certainly better than Top Ramen." her dark head shook firmly. For some reason, it never even crossed her mind it could be a lack of money doing this. Skoll was clearly an animal doctor or something, and they had to make bank- right?

"Let's go as civilians," Scylla said with a smile, and after checking no one was around, the Transcended eternal faded away into Jada Chamberlyn- local heiress, socialite, and model. Louboutin heels, black, skinny Gucci jeans clinging to the curves of her hips, and a long-sleeved dark red slightly-cropped top, paired with a cheerful red Birkin. "Jada Chamberlyn," she introduced herself cheerfully, "Nice to meet you. Presumably."

It pleased her that Skoll was willing to go to dinner as civilians, especially because that would make paying even easier, even if she had come prepared.

"Oh that jacket looks so comfortable," was the only comment Jada said on Anna's clothes, before she reached out, tugging on the other woman's arm as though they were already the very best of friends, "It is so lovely to meet you." Everyone looked a little rough after a long day at work, and Anna had saved a life after all, which was better than anything Jada had ever done on the clock! She might have made a lunch reservation, but that only saved jobs, not lives.

"I am a model!" Jada was delighted to have been recognized for her work instead of for her family. "Or was, I haven't really done much in a while, taking care of my siblings and doing things around the city and around-" she pushed her finger towards the sky. "I love that you recognized me for it, almost no one ever mentions it and I was so proud of most my shoots."

Like a short, stacked choochoo train, Jada was propelling them towards food. "So what do you remember me from?" she asked eagerly, Birkin swinging at her side, bumping one hip. "You said it was one of the fashion mags- Vogue? Cosmo? Something a little more local? Or did you see me in one of the writeups on Fashion Week? I used to go all the time." Oh, she missed going to them.

When Anna mentioned ramen being more necessity than preference, Jada winced. "Ah." She had been poor for a while, between her parents getting mad at her and turning into a cat and losing a job and still needing the paperwork for her inheritance and... well. "But you work as a vet, don't you? Saving cats, and all." her brow furrowed. "Doesn't that make good money? You're a doctor."

Vet tech, Anna corrected, and Jada made a short 'ohhh', remembering the people at the shelter she volunteered at with the twins, and their paychecks. "You know," she ventured hesitantly, "I'm really big on making sure people get the education they want. I've helped a few friends send family to college already. Full formal grants and everything, so everything is nice and legal. I have a few full-ride grants I try and give out every year. If you decide it's something you want, I would love to help. Especially since you have special..." she waved her hands. "Extracurriculars."

They were arm in arm, and Jada casually tugboated her new friend towards the Korean place, smoothly trotting along with the taller woman on her heels. "It is what it is, but you're not alone. Vets really should get paid more, anyways. Their patients are smaller and can't talk. Makes them less able to lie, but also less able to tell their doctors what's wrong."

She didn't know what to say about Anna's 'shitty pops' other than squeeze the vet tech's arm in sympathy; that debt shouldn't be a child's to bear, but people wanted their money, and anyone who could be squeezed for it would be. Not that Jada knew much about the details of debt collection outside of what movies and grumping friends told her. "Tell me about your street rats?" She asked, instead. "I am assuming you mean animals, not children."
