Ever since the young family had made their way into Sauti the air around Sol carried a different aura. When the hybrid had to break out his long sleeve tops once again there was a spark of excitement in his soul. As nice as it had been to travel once again, especially given the circumstances surrounding their trip, Sol was just as happy to be going home. Someday soon they would be settling into a new home all their own, with their daughters, and a gaggle of animals.
While Sol's life was surely only going to grow more chaotic from here on out he couldn't find it in himself to hate it.
The caravan they'd been traveling with had stopped for the evening just a ways into Sauti. Just earlier in the day they had been in Tale, so he knew the journey would still take a while, but he didn't mind. The girls were nestled with Koril for the evening and Sol...Well, Sol was working. He hadn't intentionally put himself out there as a 'traveling healer' but it wasn't as if he could turn down the business. So, he'd been visiting smaller encampments in the area, treating the sick and injured.

The top right of Jhin's tunic was soaked with blood. The man had taken a hit to his upper back, the jagged edges of a sword slicing through his skin before he could fully shove an arrow through the throat of his assailant. It hurt, his head throbbed and his steps wobbled a bit towards the end but the group of rangers had managed to get towards a smaller encampment before long. Now he was sitting down, patiently waiting for whatever healer could be found to look over his injury. He would just have to hope whoever was here was as capable as the healer back home. Jhin winced at the thought. Even if he had been closer to home he wasn't certain he would want to get treated there. Kyril would be livid if she had seen him get an injury like this. Jhin let out a small sigh at the realization. He had to be more careful going forward. Reckless actions and injuries no longer simply affected him after all.

It wasn't uncommon in Sol's travels to tend to hunters and rangers. The further they branched back into Tale and subsequently Sauti the more prevalent their kind became. He knew the wounds of huntsmen well; knew their demeanors, their priorities and their aversion to seeking help. He also knew that rangers could be so much worse and that he would need to treed carefully. If he pressed for too much information his charge would flee, but show too much of a soft heart and they would think him incompetent.
He used his walking stick to guide him over the unfamiliar terrain and when he reached a grouping of auras that he wasn't familiar with Sol cleared his throat, "My name is Sol; a few of the elders in this caravan told me that you could use my help."

Jhin stirred whenever he heard someone approaching. The wind earthling blinked a few times, his mind catching up with the present from his haze, but when he actually saw the stranger surprise crossed his features. "You're a healer?" He questioned his head tilting slightly as he kept a firm hand on his shoulder where he was holding a heavy cloth tightly against his back to try and slow the bleeding. Jhin was no stranger to hybrids, but the man before him was definitely the strangest person he had ever seen before. His Aunt despised Alkidikes so they rarely saw anyone with anything remotely obvious Aishan running through their veins after all. Still, even the few hybrid Aishans that Jhin had encountered before had nothing like the colorings of the man before him. His eyes were also strangely distant and the ranger found himself hesitant. Though it's not like I have many options. He found himself musing before settling back and waiting to see what the stranger offered.

"So I've been told." Sol responded cooly, arching a brow as the questioning tone. It was obvious enough that the speaker was his patient; his aura radiated pain and unease.
Using his walking stick to guide him, Sol maneuvered closer until he could safely kneel beside the other man. Once settled he slipped a satchel laden with medicinal supplies over his head and started to sort through them. Each jar had it's own crystal tied around the neck and little chips in the edifice helped him to remember what was what.
"Tell me about what happened."

"Then I suppose you'll have to trust their word." Replied Jhin with some amusement despite his pain. His teal gaze was bright, his skin flushed as he watched the healer going through his medical supplies. At least the hybrid carried the correct things and if the others had sent him this way then Jhin had to place his faith in him. "We were attacked and a blade went through my back." Replied Jhin slowly. "The edge was jagged so it may have torn through my muscles unevenly." He advised as he could only imagine the scar that would be back there. It was worth it though considering he had saved another life by getting in the way, even if his own would be in danger once he returned home.
"I have a tunic pressed against it but the blood is still seeping." He added as an afterthought, his mind grasping at details despite how fuzzy everything felt in the moment. Jhin just hoped that the healer could take care of things if he did lose consciousness for a moment though he was doing his best to stay focused, his free hand gripping against his thigh in determination.

So a blade made for rending flesh, huh? Sol couldn't say he had much experience with those with earthlings but he had seen his fair share of huntsman use serrated blades against sermals. It was a defense mechanism at best; one that no one with morals should have ever used. As a child he'd seen what the blade could do to a big beast's flesh, so he could only imagine what this man was feeling.
"If you can, drink this." When Sol was sure he had the right jar, he popped the cork and held it up toward the ranger. "It will help with the pain. Even cleaning the wound is going to hurt and I'd rather it at least be a minor ache." Compared to the outright agony he would go through without it, of course.
His aura kept dipping and wobbling, causing Sol to reach out toward him. When he finally made contact it was on his bicep, which he used to help steady the man.

Jhin hesitated before another wave of pain made him take a drink from the jar. He let out a hiss at the burning sensation of the drink but trusted that it would indeed numb the pain. The sudden contact made him tense but Jhin took a deep, shuddering breath before steadying himself. "If possible a speedy recovery without much of a scar would be great." He murmured as he kept an iron grip still on the tunic against his wound, something that was giving him drive despite the waves of pain and wooziness. The ranger kept blinking his burning gaze, his mind repeating whatever he could grasp to keep some form of consciousness and even if it hurt to speak he would continue. "Jhin, by the way." Just in case he died that would be helpful, right?

Sol waited a moment for the herbal concoction to take root before imbuing a bit of magic into the ranger. His fingers pulsated against the man's bicep to assist in the pain relieving process. There was no way for him to remove the unease completely, but Sol was fully confident that he may not exactly remember it all by the time he was done.
Sol situated himself behind the other man and gently eased him into a better position so that he could work. Once he'd found the wound, his own hand gentle yet firm against the ranger's, he lifted a jar of cleansing water. Hearing the comment about the scar, however, caused him to snort.
"I'll do my best, Jhin; you have my word. But I can't do anything until you let go. I can handle it from here."

Jhin's lips pursed into a pout as he tried to fight the disorienting feeling. "You'll have to else she'll be upset." He murmured quietly before realizing that he was indeed still holding on. The ranger's muscles felt stiff like they had frozen in place while he waited on a healer, but ever so slowly he released his hands from their viselike grip on the extra material. As his arm finally fell to his side the tunic dropped to the ground next to him, the previously tan material now stained a murky brown because of the dark blood. All he could do now was just grit his teeth and bare the pain until the healer was finished taking care of his wound.

As strange as it was to hear clipped bits of conscious thought, Sol clamped down on it. So long as he could keep the other man talking he could keep him awake and make sure the treatment was working. "Who is she?" Even though his tone was casual Sol's gut lurched the moment his fingers ghosted over the now exposed wound. Spirits, it was a wonder the man was even awake at all..."Will she be mad at me if I leave a scar?" The healer gently dabbed the wound with a clean, wet cloth as his magic shifted course. Now that the focus was no longer on pain relief he pushed it into quelling the bleeding instead.

A weak chuckle left Jhin's lips. "Perhaps, but you aren't the one who got injured." If anything he would be the one to receive an earful since he had once again placed himself in danger. Jhin's head felt like it was stuffed full of hay but he did his best to endure the strange feelings by focusing on the conversation. "It's fairly bad, right? She'll definitely be after me." He stated quietly, his gaze closing tightly against the sudden pain as the wound was dabbed. Thankfully enough it felt duller than before and Jhin just hoped that the medical drink would keep things that way. He was doing his best to not roll over as it was and his pain tolerance was pushing its limits.

“Does this happen often?” Stemming the bleeding wasn’t terribly difficult with the magical assist. It required a steady outpouring, but Sol was well versed and could do it subconsciously as he worked to seal the wound. “It’s going to scar, but it won’t be thick. By the time it heals she might forgive you.” There was simply no way around it; he would have a mark. If Sol used enough magic he could close the wound completely but he was depleted enough from a full day's work. The best he could do was to help guide he sealed the edges, much like a suture, and prevented infection. “I can advance the healing so that you’re recovery won’t be as long, but it will hurt; a lot.” Best to give him the option first.

"I'm a ranger." Replied Jhin simply as he sat still so that the healer could do his work. How could it not happen? Bandits were constantly trying to take from merchants and whatever other dangers lurked in the woods often picked fights with him as well. Whether it be some rugged swordsman, some rabid beast or something else the man was always at risk. However, knowing that it was the case didn't make it any easier for those in his life. "I can take it." He found himself stating without hesitation at the offer. Anything so that he could return home to Kyril and the girls quickly. He hated being gone for so long and had never meant for this trip to take as long as it already had.

Sol rolled his eyes; though the effect was lost due to his anatomy. He should have expected such an answer going into this but he’d also seen his fair share of Rangers who had less harrowing scars. They either weren’t doing their fair share or this man had terrible luck.
Still, Sol didn’t want to let him go when he knew he could properly heal the wound. It would be hard on them both, but the healer dug deep. He pulled from a well of magical reserves deep within his own soul and without warning channeled it into the Ranger at full force.
