Another day, another patrol. Anser had abandoned her homework early - she was a senior now, did anyone really expect her to actually pretend to give a s**t when there was a literal war for planet Earth going on - and headed back out onto the streets, holding a particularly sharp branch in one hand as she scoped out the trouble in the neighborhood. Didn't see anything... Another aura called out to her, one that wasn't so chaotic - in fact, kind of reminded her of how her brother used to feel before he staged up - and so she pursued that instead, curious as to who else was out in this neighborhood at this time of day. If this was a usual path for them, perhaps they could trade some tips and tricks-- Oh. She knew that guy. "Hey!" she called, lifting her arm and waving before making her way over. "Aokigahara, right? It's Anser." She paused, realized that probably had no context for him, and clarified, "Your call to your wonder called me. I know there were a lot of people there. Probably don't recognize me in specific." Well, she was also glowing now. And also no longer felt like a chibi. Both were important things.

It had, so far, been a quiet night of patrolling for Aokigahara. No Chaos to challenge or speak to, which was a bit unfortunate; he'd have liked to get to have a chat with the other side, now that he was permanently protected from corruption, but it also meant that he could have a nice, quiet patrol and perhaps go home early, or take a trip back to his Wonder.
He was pondering the possibilities of leaving Destiny City behind for the evening when he heard someone call out to him, and he turned.
It took him a moment to place the face in front of him, but Aokigahara remembered everyone who had shown up on his Wonder to help, that night--even if he didn't know their names, their faces were enough for him to recognize.
So he gave her a broad smile, and nodded. "Aokigahara, yes. I remember you," he said. Anser. A name to lock down and remember. "Thank you for your help; I don't want to guess what would have happened if I'd had to handle that creature alone."
Well, he could very much guess, all things considered. He would likely be one of the restless spirits on his Wonder, now.
"I see you've spent some time on your planet, recently," he said; she glowed, the same way he'd started to ever since his Wonder was cleansed.

Anser was admittedly actually surprised that he remembered her in specific, and perhaps also delighted by it. There had been a lot of people there and she hadn't necessarily expected to stand out in any capacity, considering she still gave off a chibi senshi aura at the time, one which tended to make her seem more diminutive than she was... "It's not a problem, really," she confirmed, nodding. "Glad to help. Whatever creature that was, it didn't need to continue haunting your wonder." Creature of Chaos or not, she could tell by some of the spirits that popped up while they were fighting it and how absolutely determined it was to defeat them... well, it was clearly a problem. And considering Aokigahara had transcended after, it was clearly enough of a problem for his wonder to reward him for finally getting rid of it-- She did glow. A grin broke across her face. "Aye-aye!" She might have done a twirl to show off. Maybe. The marking on her forehead as a replacement for the tiara was her favorite part, but the filigree on her body was also enjoyed. "Been exploring it for a few years now, and I guess my planet finally decided to give me the memories of how Sailor Ansers of the formally took on their power." She settled back in front of him. "So I did it. Felt kinda goofy at times because there wasn't anything to actually slay, but rewarding." A pause to look at a marking on her arm. "Obviously."

It was good to see someone else with the bright lines of magic drawn on their skin. Aokigahara knew there were others, but he wasn't familiar with any of them except for Hyperborea, so this was a pleasant change. Perhaps they would have the opportunity to compare notes at some point, if they ran into each other again.
"It's a great gift, to be Transcended," he said. "One that isn't often given by planets and Wonders. You must have done great service to your world, to earn it."
Her description made him nod, thoughtfully. "A combat ritual, then? I wonder if that's a requirement, or if it just has to be anything done to the planet's benefit." He could hardly guess; he'd never asked Hyperborea how it had happened to her. Foolish of him. "Do you know anyone else with the markings?"

Anser agreed, nodding when Aokigahara suggested it was a great gift. It felt like one, and honestly, she had felt stronger than ever, something she had no doubt was assisted by the fact that she also no longer sat stuck at her chibi stage, unable to reach the status of so many of the other senshi she met. But then she agreed to a ritual and that broke. And then she did the ritual and that had led to this. "Yeah! Combat ritual. From what I gathered, Rirvia - ah, that was my past life's name - had to hunt down a creature by herself and slay it before the," she paused, stumbled over a word, "disparate societies accepted her as their mediator. And I do! My brother, actually. Sailor Encke? He was at your wonder too. Taller than me, red hair, lots of freckles?" Seemed like an apt description to her. "He got his after figuring out how to get the electricity running on Encke again, so I think that backs up the anything done to the planet's benefit thing?"

A mediator. How interesting.
"My ritual also replicated something that my past self did--Aokigahara stood as a graveyard for those who would not be properly buried otherwise," he explained, "and the lantern-lighting is a gesture of respect to the dead. It helped put their souls to rest, which is what needed to be done."
It was fascinating, to consider the different possibilities.
"I do remember your brother, yes. Vibrantly violet uniform and markings?" Not that there had been a surefit of Transcendeds there. "I'll have to ask Hyperborea--you would have seen her at my Wonder; tall Cosmos Knight, also Transcendent, rainbow markings--how hers went. Perhaps if we have enough information, we can help other people find their way to it. The more who are protected from Chaos, the better, and I think the restoration of our worlds is a noble goal."

"That explains all the spirits..." None of them had been allowed to rest, then, until they had all gotten there and helped Aokigahara. She had to wonder how long they had all been around... No wonder there was that monster there. Perhaps just an angry spirit that had become monstrous over hundreds of years... Or it was something else. The important part was that the ritual was successful and it was gone now, really-- Anser nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, him!" Admittedly, the vibrant violet uniform made him incredibly hard to miss. Must have had something to do with that plasma influence-- she put some thought into the person he described as a picture came to her mind; she hadn't met many Cosmos knights but she had been able to put the pieces together from the rainbow markings and the transcendence descriptors-- Oh, he had a similar goal as Encke. Figure out how transcendence worked, get more people to transcend, create a force of them that could no longer be swayed to Chaos and also get back into space. Her face cracked into a grin. "Man, you sound just like Encke - he's the one who got me to go to space in the first place a few years ago. Think he knows a couple of other transcendeds. I totally agree - the restoration of our worlds is a good goal, and it's a way our worlds can help us here while we help them." She flexed. "Definitely feel more able to punch Chaos in the face now."

Aokigahara grinned, looking more than a little amused with the comparison. He wondered what it would be like, to know that one of his little siblings was involved in the war—certainly all of them were within the right age range, and the thought made him want to sigh. All of them would be chaotic little gremlins, running around with magic powers, and it did, he had to admit, exhaust him slightly. And also scare him.
Sakura, after all, hadn’t returned anyone’s calls for quite some time. It wasn’t hard to imagine that the war might have gotten her, one way or the other.
A grim thought, for another moment.
“I’d like to have the chance to speak to Encke, then, if we have similar goals,” he said. “Perhaps we could work together, especially since we would be coming at it from different angles.”

Encke had certainly been simultaneously exhausted and scared when Anser had awoken, but he had eventually adjusted. To some degree, he was actually relieved now, because awakening meant the possibility for better protection against Chaos-- She returned the grin, putting her hands on her hips and puffing her chest out a bit in her own pride in herself and her newfound ability to punch Chaos in the face even harder. There were a few people she'd specifically like to teach a lesson now. Like that dreaded guy she had seen at the park. He said he was going to take Cybele back. How dare he-- "Yeah! I think my brother's always looking for more allies." Anser snickered. "And then we can meet up more too. Do you have a number? Or," she paused, squinted, and then suddenly realized, "I don't think I know how knight to senshi communication works, exactly, just that we can interface..." They had those signet rings, didn't they? If she just took a picture of the knight, would it scan in their contact information in the same way as it did for a senshi?

Aokigahara nodded. "I worked with a cat, actually, you should be able to scan me into your phone. Not too long ago, in fact." After the fight where he'd assisted Monoceros--it had seemed prudent to find a way to connect himself to Senshi allies, and the Guardian Cats were ever helpful for that sort of thing.
"So, yes, I have a number, of sorts. And I can send messages to you, as well." At least, as far as he understood. "Both in the form of physical letters and texts. Which will be useful, for planning another meeting. I can send a note to your brother, as well, now that I know his name."

"Oh!" Okay, so not all of them could be in the senshi phones, but some could, and he was one of them. That worked out. Anser eagerly produced her phone, lifting it up and offering a cheerful, "Smile!" as she took a quick picture of him. Sure enough, there was his image and a sort of phone number for him. Nice! "Okay, that's good to know. I'll have to ask other knights I run into about that," she snickered, putting the phone away. "I'll see if I can transfer that over to Encke just so he knows where the message is coming from. Thank you! I look forward to speaking to you again soon, right?" Maybe they could go out and go on a transcendent patrol. She was pretty sure that was no different than a normal patrol, to be honest, except they had a different kind of energy and they couldn't really hide anymore -- perhaps she was still excited about the glowing, to be honest. "See you, Aoki!" Anser waved and bounded off to go tell Encke she might have had someone else who wanted to assist in his particular kind of quest.
