A thought brought them to the Negaverse's dark, but Faustite did not spare time for a tour. They did not land in Faustite's defunct office, but instead before the towering double doors that peered over the shoulders of agents long since past. That door, with all its teeth and eyes and dare for any unwary agent to see what's on the other side, stood at Faustite's back. Around them, the grandeur of a fallen Citadel with all of its gothic arches and spiral staircases and stony bookshelves mostly intact, but for the places where crystals grew out of the walls and shed their violet glow. Offsetting the violet hues were candles, a few electric fixtures, and Faustite's own fiery grate. Before him, the newest addition to the space, was Celadonite.

Faustite never asked for his civilian name, but he wouldn't need to know it. That was Albite's business. Henceforth, all of this would be Albite's business.

"We're standing in the Dark Kingdom. Albite will guide you further. Albite?" The question was asked of the air, but his hand pulled at nothing to claw up enough darkness to form his subordinate. Had half a hope that he pulled Waru straight out of a shower and into his uniform as Albite, but they would soon see his condition. That call wasn't optional, anyway.

"This is Celadonite. Recruit Number Two. Minutes-fresh. Don't ******** up."

Amber eyes rolled to the ceiling - bit of foam that clung to the corner of his mouth, and Albite kept on with what he was doing - brushed his godamned teeth with his spiderman toothbrush. Scanned the room - new to him - as he rolled his now floor length dreads out of his face; tossed them over a shoulder like an errant towel, haybale to be hefted for the weight he suddenly bore with them.

Heaved a sigh that stretched the lace of corset around his ribs, left imprint with where it strained across breast and bone. He didn't know the exact spot they were in. It was beautiful though, if a bit eerie, motif that befit the whole of the verse. He liked the teeth that set in stone behind Faustite, hungry maw that waited to devour any who entered, much like the flames that licked the core of half-youma stood before them. Albite wondered if he should've had Faustite give him a tour long ago - should've had anyone do it....

Not that it mattered now. The toothbrush went into the space beyond that held Albites sparse things, white mint spat onto the cobbled floor beneath his heeled feet. He swallowed the rest with a grimace and ire.

"Yanno - Firebrand - Faustite?" wanted to roll pet names off his tongue, call him the sweetest damned things, put some heat behind it - because it was becoming a thing - and the first few times? Whiplash, disorientation for not being handheld and baby-stepped through the void, but now?

Oooh, now it was a thing being done on purpose. Once was a coincidence, but twice? That was an intention. Albite would not let himself be a fool for a third time - would have words. About the cavalcade of incoming subordinates who seemed to be popping out of the ground like weeds. About Faustites need to hand them off onto 'him', specifically.

"If this is still about your office, I'm sorry" an absolute lie, because he wasnt. Was sorry about displacing their wisps, yes, and upending the tea and a sugar and sweet little cups, sure, but the actual thing that had led to it - the aftermath of it all - the release of tension wrought in blood and fire? Nope. Wouldn't apologize for that. "but like...I cleaned it up, kinda? What more do you want from me. Aside from not ******** up the, uh...whose this one anyhow?" and faustite had said his name, but Albite was focused on the dark plum of his outfit, long hair, somehow not a senshi? Pretty like one though. <******** hell, they were all prettier and prettier by degrees and miles. Man, woman, and other, all just...

"Are we getting a harem? This is staring to feel like a harem..is this like..you opening up? I'm all for that by the way. Openness ---" let himself grin wide at the new recruit that stood before them.

Celadonite took in the...well. His superior officer with mild contempt and gave a scoff, looking to Faustite with a rather betrayed look. “...You weren’t kidding about him being a half naked idiot, were you?”

Sure, that wasn’t the best way to greet someone that you would be serving under but...Jesus. He couldn’t even remember his own name.

“I’m Celadonite, and hopefully I won’t be under you much longer. I plan on rising in the ranks quickly, and not disappointing Faustite.”

It wasn’t…quite a dig, but he still wanted to show that he would be worthy of this. A good rival. Dark eyes roamed over the half naked idiot in front of him and he pursed his lips, quite honestly appreciating the view. He had good abs, and that green worked for him…

“Then again. Perhaps.” He trailed off, shrugging.

It might not be so bad having to see this Albite...what...every day?

He was sure there were less attractive men he could have been given to.

Oh, was he going to bed? Faustite penned in a smile for the inconvenience he caused. Small things that Albite deserved, that Lionel needn't know about so quickly. The new one would catch on in time — doubly so when serving under Albite. The fool was good for showing his cards at the beginning of a round.

"No, but you've still work to finish in there." His office was an organized wreck right now, with glass in one pile and ash in another and most of the broken furniture hauled to the side, but Albite still had to extract the rest and find someplace to dumb the useless chairs. Faustite thought it good teleportation practice to have him teleport with a chair and find a proper landfill — or a White Moon's face — for it. But those were assignments better spoken of without a fresh-faced subordinate in their stead. Filed away for future biting mention.

At least Celadonite had the decency to remember his name, and dispense it without slapping Albite across the face. Faustite wouldn't have had the temper check for that. Motivated one, too, for which he was two measures grateful: one for picking a proper motivator, and two for having one less subordinate in short order.

Hand on his hip, Faustite started to walk. His free hand still trailed his words. "This isn't a ******** harem, it was a choice. Could've killed him, but didn't. He wanted the power, and I thought you could do with another subordinate. Someone new, so you would learn how to dispense the basics." Lilith was seasoned enough that she was the boss, and Albite the subordinate, and he ensured Lilith knew that, but the accordance of rank dictated a different surface relationship.

"Word of advice. Start with a ******** tour."

"Noted" hot dropped words and he leveled Celadonite with a more firmly appraising look.

Ran him over with it.

Cause he could see the work he had cut out for him. Could hear in the bruised plum, and pastel tones coming from the boy before him. Grinned around the little remarks tossed so glibly in his direction - like that one thought him too stupid to be more than a set of abs with hair - like his mouth didn't also hold teeth. Albite didn't, as a habit, expect s**t or ******** all to defer any sort or semblance of respect to him, ever. There were his girls to consider though, their girls, his friends, and his ******** Firebrand. Who had actually, possibly, maybe for once picked a person; instead of having them foisted upon him bodily and without choice?

"You did good firebrand. I like the gift, love it even. I really-really do. M'proud of you actually, for choosing someone? Between him n' the girl's it'll be some strong team dynamic s**t. M'always down for that." offered up praise like warmth, because Faustite was right. At the end of the day it wasn't a harem. It was however, a team, their team. His Team. Albite had all sorts of feelings about what constituted as 'his'.

Lilith n Nembus both were smarter than him, respectable, intelligent women who knew what they were doing. Could've had the whole of the world bent at their heels, or planed a whole ******** armistice if someone gave them the time and men to do it with. Maybe if they weren't Senshi? Maybe if a truce had ever been an option between one side or the other? Regardless, the plum colored punk had strode up, strut his cute faced having self in - and mouthed off without knowing him well enough to know he could. Preened over Faustite like he was his first born, the chosen one, and hand picked to succeed the lessers that lived beneath him. Acting like he wasn't suddenly surrounded by fire and ash an an all encompassing maw of darkness.

Either the guy was Crazy or Faustite really had a type, and they needed to start having a conversation about it.

"No worries Cellulite, with a go gettum attitude like that? You won't ever spend a second under me." clicked his tongue and it was easier to do this if his hair was up. Cowry sash coming in handy for the n'th time as Albite picked over his words carefully. Clapped his hands together grinned at his new 'charge'.

"So! Team s**t. Cause tours are important, I ah-gree, we'll even ensure you get outfitted with those lame a** handbooks; whole kit n kaboodle." spoke with his hands as eagerly as he did his body, an insatiable need for movement, for go, even when he was just standing there and speaking. A grinning barracuda - except for how it didn't quite reach his eyes.

"But! Before any of that, since our team seems to be ever expanding? The rank n' file with us? Goes Firebrand, n then the Girls, n' then whatever the ******** comes after myself. They've all got seniority. Which, by the by, when we talk to our girls? My girls, we talk nice, yeah?" trailed it with a hum, and welcoming gesture all in one.

"Also, whatever you do out there - outside of us - my a** is on the line for it. So you be careful with how you deal with some of the people down here? Not that I personally care, you go on and be your best self with all of 'em. I can handle the rest - ********, misteps, whatever... Within our team though? We shore each other up, n we take care of each other. You can impress the Firebrand all ********' day long - but the second I catch you using one of our peoples backs as a ladder rung to their detriment. I'm quickstepping your sweet a** starseed into the hall of shadows." and the severity of tone, the honest to goodness serious 'talk' that had been striated with glee, quickly morphed into lightness. Wide amber eyes that skirted from Celadonite over to Faustite, crinkled at the edges because he was done speaking in passive warnings, and was ready to have some honest to gods fun with this one.

"Oh hey! We should totally start there, yeah? I ******** love that place. You can really just - feel - the whole mood of this place if you put your ear right up to the doors there. Also like..I've uh..never been given a tour before..soooo..that's the one place I know for sure where it is?" If Celadonite was anything like him, and ******** was he automatically in love if he was, but also completely ********, because if he was? Seeing consequences in form and function was 'important'.

After listening to Albite drone on and on, he truly understood why Faustite had called him a half naked idiot. While he was wonderful to look it, it was so easy to see that there were no lights on upstairs, perhaps a motion activated nightlight that needed replacement batteries, but other than that...the windows were clearly empty.

At the suggestion of this being a harem, and then at Faustite saying he needed a <********> tour, Celadonite paused and looked between the two, nodding slowly.

Could be fun. But, alas. It hadn’t been meant that way, he knew. Perhaps next time.

And then Albite absolutely butchered his newly bestowed name and the lieutenant bristled, scowling deeply and looking back to Faustite with an unamused expression.

“Is this a joke? Why are you leaving me with this absolute Himbo? I could thirst after him, sure. But I do like my men to have at least half of a brain. Is there not someone else who you can put me under?”

Celadonite paused and smirked, eyes raking over Albite once again. “Not that I enjoy being under, if you catch my meaning.”

He knew they both would, though, how he knew was a mystery.

Correcting this one asked too much; he couldn't explain the ways he was bound to the action he took, and Albite would not care to hear them. Lacked the conceptual nuance to understand where he was coming from. Faustite dismissed the compliments out of hand; there was more than deserved his attention than some pats on the ******** head for corrupting someone. As if he should be treated so lightly.

He couldn't stop himself. He rolled his eyes.

Choked at hearing the word Cellulite roll out of Albite's well-exercised gob, covered it with a cough into his sleeve. Listened for the rest — he could be patient — or he thought he could be patient — but he felt his impatience bubble hot from his gut for how Albite said so much and meant so little. Wished there was a 2x speed for his mouth, like there was on every YouTube video. Could've saved time getting to the point.

Of which, there wasn't one. All he managed was to mention the handbook without explaining it, and declare that he should mind the team, for which Faustite thought sonance was unnecessary. But here they were.

This was it. This was the best that the first member of his team could do.

And, evidently, he'd never gotten a tour of Negaspace from his superior. "Take that up with Aurostibite," he muttered irritably. "Skipped all the important stuff, Albite."

His hands traced his words as he spoke to both of them. Started to pace, too, as was his habit. "The lame a** handbook is your self-study guide to your power. Explains what you can do, how you can do it, who you obey, who you destroy. Explains who matters and who doesn't. You'll be studying it on your own time, and learning practical applications of that knowledge with Albite. Expect you to memorize that handbook within a month. By three months, you should have the combat prowess to drain energy on your own. These deadlines are very generous — to both of you," he added with a sharp look over his shoulder at Albite.

"Chain of command extends beyond me to the Sovereigns — Axinite, Lepidolite, Hessonite — and the Queen — Laurelite. I expect Albite will explain the branches to you.'

His straight-laced explanation broke down when Celadonite mentioned the word himbo. Immediately his sternness gave way to a raspy chuckle, the heel of his hand pressed to the bridge of his nose as he hid part of his smile. "<********>," he muttered soft.

Drew a breath and tried to compose himself. Around an escaped snicker for the word. "Negaverse is structured. Lieutenants under Captains under Generals. Albite's Captain-adjacent; you have to be formally under him." Damn, though — was this what he was like when Schorl got him? Rude, entitled, and obviously into boys?

Probably.

As for Albite's suggestion — well. Better to lose them immediately than waste time growing attached, if they had the propensity for stupid decisions. "Stay close, then, and don't touch the glass." He turned to the nailed, many-eyed door and pushed it open with both hands. Hinges groaned, and they were treated to the sight of a long, glass-lined hallway that spiraled down into darkness.

Caught the meaning like a hand upside the back of his head. Felt it rattle what few well worn stones lingered within, washed smooth by all his thoughts.

G r i n n e d - with full honest to goodness pleasure, because this kid just - Really, ******** really? Oh, he was going to get an absolute kick out of training up the mouthy little scrub. Would spend the night texting Lilith and Nembus both; take tips, pointers, and tricks from them on whatever would work .

Nembus had dealt with him - she'd know how to motivate someone who couldn't see beyond their own ends and means. Could explain to him what exactly branches were, aside from things that grew off of trees, and things other people tried to slot him into?

N' he was sure Lil's would have an outfit or two he could shove himself into - he'd pop open a pushup bra if he thought it'd work - whatever would lure the focus of Celadonite in. Maybe the kid was a visual learner? Liked to look, had to see s**t? Maybe he didn't do after school reading specials?

Whatever, Albite would figure out how to make him understand what he thought was very important information. The team stuff especially was was non-negotiable learning material where he was concerned.

The rest? Easy s**t, knew he could get Cela to soak it all in like a sponge. Had taught himself well enough how to drain energy and touch souls - could do it with this one too.

"Awwh, sure Cela', the second we graduate you up from T-ball? I'll let you try your hand at pitching. Ya gotta survive me though - oh - and the hall. Which..uh..." it took effort - severe and serious effort - to reign himself in. To drag his gaze away from Faustites face and retreating back.

To smother his own quirked smile and breathless awe, because it'd been so long since he'd seen Faustite smile just like that. Met someone who so easily wrenched what passed as a laugh from the man. Could remember one particular instance - and had it been months ago? Him staring dumbstruck down at a dwindling fire and thinning frail thing that burbled black ire and called him a snack. The mental imprint of warmth beneath a clawed hand, as he became a handy meatsicle shaped battery to be drained as ******** it all. He'd suffer a thousand Celadonites, if only to see that look on Faustites face a thousand more times.

"He's serious about the glass. Deadass...the things in this place to not be ******** with are kinda, innumerable, yeah?" stepped up sheep dog to herd Celadonite in after Faustite. Pressed a wide palm up between slender purple clothed shoudlerblades and nudged him even closer, the heat of their General a negligible thing to press close to if it kept far greater dangers at bay. Would bind the little s**t to him if it'd keep him from getting snatched up from below...

Celadonite’s eyes lit up just a bit at Faustite’s reaction. Sure, he was focused on being in charge, but there was clearly a sense of humor there too, even if he was trying very hard to hide it. And the fact that the humor was found at the express expense of Albite.

That was very good to know.

He took in everything else without comment, though wore a satisfied smirk on his face, nodding at the explanation of people higher on the totem pole than Faustite. It was to be expected, but it was very good to know. Just in case.

Knowing who was really in charge made all of the difference sometimes.

He followed the two of them to a very creepy door and was told by each of them not to touch the glass. That...was a strange order, but he listened anyway, crossing his arms over his chest and glancing at the glass, eyes narrowing. “You say that we’re going on a tour, what exactly are you showing me, and what would happen if someone touched the wall?”

He wouldn’t be that someone, of course, but he wanted to know...and if they didn’t tell him, he’d simply have to bring someone else down and see what happened for himself.

...That might be something that would get him into trouble but...if it were interesting enough, it might just be worth the risk.

Tough to concentrate around words like himbo — where another snicker escaped him — and pitching, in which his mind never thought of ball sports first. Not those ball sports, at least. Sounded like both his boys played with balls and bats, and that suited him well. Once he assumed the lead, he smiled to himself. Knew they wouldn't see, for the glass was dull and the shadowed things commanded all attention.

Wherever they had maundered before, the creatures — man-shaped, but far from human — collected at the glass again. They were beings that seemed to absorb light, for even when a light like Faustite's stomach shone on them, their bodies devoured that light. The only beacons to their bodies were their eyes, like harrowed headlights, peering out at the things that passed. And as the three trudged into their corridor, the creatures pressed their hands to the glass, rasped out their warnings, their greetings, in wordless howls. Dogged them with an unending, sorrowful, rotten hate.

"These Guardians keep our lowest rank and our senshi out, and they'll catch youma who try to infiltrate the Dark Kingdom. The Kingdom is our space, the Rift is theirs. The Rift's at the end of this hall."

Easy to lose humor in there. Faustite's smile died, and he gave careful, courteous attention to Celadonite's question.

"Depends on who's touching." Faustite paused in step, then reached out to press his hand against the glass. The creatures twitched as if a ripple went through them, and one pressed its hand to the other side of Faustite's. Only when its hand began to breech the glass did Faustite pull away. "Captains and Generals can walk the Hall without an escort.

"Albite, you were at the Mission. Tell him what happened to the senshi who fooled around in here." He started moving again afterward; he knew humans grew unsettled in these spaces.

Solemn humm, as he shored up behind Celadonite, trailed heel to toe close enough to feel the body-heat of the newest addition to their ever growing group. A wary bracket at his back, because this one wasn’t touching the ******** glass.

If he had to snap off his hands, better that, than to lose him so soon.

Let the answers as to ‘what’, exactly, they were showing the lieutenant hang dead space in the air; because if he were being honest?

Even he didn’t fully understand what they were. The creatures, the hall, the rift, and he had the history that Faustite had gone over with him about the beings that lurked beyond the glass. The knowledge that walking into their yearning - *screaming* - grasp was a one way ticket to an eternal sleep—-

For Senshi at least. Do not pass go, do not collect 200$, do not reincarnate. Ever. Be torn apart by the atoms at your seams…

Shuddered off the feel of their eyeless gazes - itch of it that skittered across his nerves like violin strings pulled taught enough to rend and snap - how walking though the hall rankled *him*, because he was Senshi. Unwelcome in all stages and phases. Enemy eternal; and they wanted him ******** dead, devoured, and desiccated into something other.

*Hungry, angry, ********? Oh, the fodder…” nearly chipped his teeth for wanting to grind them, and speaking at all felt like a taunt he didn’t want to levy in their space - but —-

Faustite was asking, marvel of a thing, watching him play almost nice with the hands that dipped beyond the darkness. Sighed in want for *that* - what Celadonite could try to touch with time.

Never like their firebrand, unless?

“Dead isn’t even the word…it’s like…a magic trick gone wrong. You never get the body back, n the screams seem to echo eternally beyond there, even after it’s over? Kinda…n of course their hungry. You’re too weak for them to respect still. I’m their - ah - eternal adversary.” and even with more chaos poured into him. With them - those shadows of ancient wronged things - he didn’t think it’d ever be enough.

“They’ll tear you apart to tear out your soul…and just….I don’t now if they ever stop? So, uh…” wince and a prayer that Cela’ wasn’t eager to test his luck against things even Albite knew bone deep to back off of.

Celadonite watched as Faustite easily demonstrated that he was better than the both of them by touching the wall without incident. When he looked back to Albite, he frowned slightly at the male’s obvious nerves. His distaste for where they were going. Whatever he had seen before. Interesting.

Intimidation truly did seem to be Faustite’s strong suit. It kind of figured that he’d be a flaming diva. Honestly, he should have known.

He glanced back at the one who was supposed to be his superior and stuck his tongue out, flashing a grin. “I get it. Don’t ******** around and find out. It’s not worth what you find, am I right?”

His eyes were locked on Albite’s, but he spoke loudly enough for them both to hear. Obviously he was expected to give an answer.

“So. What’s the point of this field trip? What’s so great about this...Rift anyway? I get the danger bit, but what’s the point of it if it’s...not…” He held up his hands and made quotation marks, careful to keep away from the walls. “Our space.” He lowered his hands again, crossing his arms across his chest once again. “...Who are they anyway?”

...And what the ******** did this all have to do with fashion? A big huge nothing, that was for sure.

'Don't ******** around and find out. It's not worth what you find, am I right?'

"Depends who you ask." Wasn't worth it for the price of death, he figured, but those who survived ******** around in the Rift have called it worth the risk. Supposed he shouldn't elaborate on that one, though; better that he didn't steal the show from Albite.

"Mmmm," Faustite hummed with a side of venom. "Great question for your superior." Spoke it with an edge that asked Albite to explain himself not only to his subordinate, but to Faustite as well. Why were they going on a field trip to the Rift first? What the ******** was Albite's angle in all this? Ultimately, Faustite wanted the boy to learn that he needed to make deliberate choices when training others.

"Normally don't take anyone to the Rift until they're Captains." He spoke over his shoulder as he walked, pace slow enough that the other two could easily keep abreast. "Rift makes for decent group training, but on an individual basis, its main use is for personal youma — monsters that will bond with and obey you."

He would leave it to Albite to explain who they were — it was his choice of tour destination; he could stand to act as the tour guide.

He considered Celadonite's frustrated answer earlier as he pushed open the double doors to the chaos-charged air of the Rift. The grand, uneven steppe descended from the lowest point of the Citadel into the ruddy, blackened, bent remains of an old earth city. Beyond it, within easy line of sight, was the empty Colosseum, the cloister containing the old earth throne, the constituent fiefdom beyond that. Farther out, the buildings thinned to sparsity, and beyond that, he knew, was the wildness endemic to the Rift.

"Welcome to the Rift. Home of youma."

'Welcome indeed'

Rolled his eyes as his firebrand pinned the burden of words on his useless tongue. Albite tsk’d and tamped down on some of the ‘awe’ that stole his sighs at the sights beyond. Hard to do as it was, because Albite was in love. For all that every step in past the hall of shadows full of threats of deaths that couldn’t be. That promised only undying eternities and made his flesh scream to be ‘off’. For how the swing of doors that led deeper into a place that they were only guests on set his teeth on edge. Made him grin around the grit that felt like a record scratched — like glass broken on discordant notes too high — Despite every bit of that? Albite loved it. He was using Celadonite as a bit of an excuse to be there — though he figured he coulda turned his want of a thing for the sake of loving that thing into a lesson. Would have to.

“The point - Simba my boy - heh - Celadonite. Is that you deserve an ‘everything the light touches is ours’ extravaganza. Except unlike Mufasa? I'mma make sure you know about the s**t that lurks in the shadows where you shouldn’t tread until you're bigger on the rank scale.” lest he got snatched up in a youmas maw — lest he followed along under someone else - wandered into the rift on one mission or another unprepared, under a General who would get him dead on accident, because s**t happened sometimes…

Would rather have him aware. In case…

“Our boss? On toppa being a hot as fire human type - is also basically a youma in a half grill, but more than that? A lot of our brothers are half-youma. Just like a lot of our sisters are Senshi — take this as a wake up call and warning in one. Since you’re so het up to step over my whole a** self on the way up the ladder.”

Celadonite would have all the things he hadn’t. Would get people waving blaring red flags that bled caution. Would get weapons, and youma at his beck n call, and subordinates that belonged. He'd get to have the whole of the dark kingdom and an unlocked door to the rift.

Instead of Senshi that couldn’t have shown him a world unless they piggybacked offa one that held sway on the side of order. Unless he begged the help of someone else. He wanted to show the purple haired boy the world — the whole of it — the best bits first because everything after?

Paled in comparison.

“Them things back there, as far as I’m aware? They're ancient men that have been twisted beyond time or something. Like, soldiers of the past that were cursed by - uh -- I'm guessing invading Senshi or something like that? Though I've also heard that they were the Queens harem..or guards..or...” clicked his tongue and ticked over points of rumors of lore he'd heard. It'd always mattered so little to him what they were. Mattered more what they could do. "I'll get, like, a better answer from someone. Point is -- it's way better to die anywhere but in there, by them. Words from the mouth of someone they absolutely wanna tear apart by the atom." firm nod and the way his dreads moved as he smacked Celadonite on the shoulder before hopping up to the edge of the steps.

"Even if it's all - Not ours. It's still - so cool!" Spread his hands and heaved breathed the chaos in. Twirled to toss back the most inviting of grins.

“It’s advanced s**t, I know, but you’ll want it some day. A beastie at your beck n call — that’s all your own. You can’t buy that kind of loyalty.” helped that Albite thought it was badass. That of all the things he'd ever had thoughts about, this place? Nightmare that that chased dreams and smothered him with all that spanned out over the dark cragulous expanse. "Right firebrand!?" tilted puppy all atwitter to 'go', slow realization that for all that Faustite was 'youma' in part; yet he'd never seen him with another 'youma' as partner?

There were the rats? Were the rats pets? Did Faustite have a swarm of youma rats that ate his sugar because they were his familiar of sorts. "Oh - hey Faustite. Do you have a youma, or like, does Agni count."

Celadonite was trying to focus, he was. But there was just…a lot going on. A lot to take in, a lot to figure out and honestly, nothing really made sense. But. God, he wanted to learn. It was a lot, but…it was all so interesting.

“You were holding out on me, General. Not much fashion, but seems like there’s a lot to know, yeah? Don’t touch the walls, don’t snuggle the rats…other than that, is there any other purpose for coming here, or any more information that you have to impart to me? It’s…hella creepy here.”

He glanced between the two and forced a grin, hoping he looked more confident than he felt. It was creepy here, but there were some great ideas for new clothing lines that he could figure out if he looked hard enough. The colors and the rocks were quite fabulous.

“The point has been taken that this place isn’t a playground and I shouldn’t come without someone more experienced, but that it’s a good place to come…sometimes?”

Hopefully that was the lesson being taught. And if it wasn’t…well. s**t.
