It took a few days for Andronicus to return to see Caedus. The whole 'ah yes I've brought a whole army to Earth to deal with your Chaos problem' sort of blindsided her. She'd known he'd come back someday, but this was... a little out of her depth. She'd wizened up over the years - okay it was more like she got very cynical - but there was still a part of her that wanted to help and wanted to better understand the thoughts behind them. Even more so, she wanted to apologize. She'd come off rather... strong to Caedus and it hadn't exactly gained her any friends among the rest of Order.

It was a disservice to Caedus, and to his Commedore, even if Andronicus wasn't exactly sure all of this was going to, well, go well.

"Caedus? Are you decent?" she asked, stepping past the barrier to where she'd talked to him previously. She assumed as such, but leading with a little comedy would help ease the tension that was sure to creep up, right? Right.

Though it took a few seconds for Caedus to arrive, he poked his head out of the dome he and his people used to shield themselves for prying eyes. The rest of his body followed shortly after but he looked a bit puzzled.

“Decent?” he asked. “I have been on my best behavior, yes. I think I have been respectable. Though you may disagree,” he acknowledged, because he recognized Andronicus and did not want to presume anything in her presence.

“I have been trying.”

He looked behind him, as if he expected that Lyndin should be behind him, but when there was no one immediately there he looked back to Andronicus.

“You are looking for me?”

Andronicus chuckled a little. "I meant clothing wise. It's a phrase we use here when entering private spaces, and don't want to get blind sided by nakedness or scare people," she said as he stepped full out of the dome and into a visible space. She picked a little at the fingers.

"I wanted to apologize. I was a little... strong with my words before. The last few years have turned me rather cynical if I'm being honest. Suddenly you returned and with an army this time and all I could think of was the people of the city and what will happen to them when it all goes a** over tea kettle. For that, I'm sorry. It was frankly uncalled for, as was all of the, as we say, dog piling on you and your Commadore." Once out of her system, she gave him a real genuine smile.

"I also want to understand more about you, Lyndin and your people. You're real bonified aliens! This is like... some Area 51 thing and good gods would the world governments have a field day with you," she said. suddenly very giddy and excited. Real life aliens! From space! Like, actual beings from space that were humanoid and had technology and language and space travel. Skeptical as she was of the plan itself working, she was not skeptical at all of the reality of Caedus' people. It was just so exciting!

Caedus mumbled a quick “Oh,” at her explanation and nodded. Her smile was reassuring and he seemed to visibly relax after she’d finished speaking.

“You do not have to apologize. But I appreciate it. I am sorry for blindsiding you all with this plan. It has been difficult to communicate. I tried to contact Earth before but I was unsuccessful. I misjudged our ability to communicate.”

He did not completely understand all of what she said, but he did his best and worked with what he could. “But I do not judge you for your caution and concern. I did bring others with me, but they are not…an army,” he tried to explain, because she had said she wanted to understand more.

“The Vanguard is very respected on Velencya. They have been, even before I was stuck here on Earth. But Commodore Lyndin has set the standards so high. I am so proud of him. And he has hand picked everyone who has come with us. We do not want anyone to get hurt. I have told them how wonderful Earth is. And how Metallia corrupts people. But the people themselves are not all to blame. I have been told by Senshi and Knights that everyone deserves a chance, and I hope we can give them one. We do not want any trouble with any government. I want Earth to be safe. We all do. I will tell you anything you want to know about myself, and Commodore Lyndin, and our people. I do not want to keep secrets from you.”

She listened quietly, taking mental notes and letting him explain and fight through the language. From the brief overview, it sounded more like the group was less an army and more of a group of people sworn to help destroy Metallia. Andronicus wondered if it was actually possible to destroy her, or if you had to like fumigate the whole planet to get her out. Though that sort of begged the question... how did Metallia get into power anyway...

"To be fair, I'm not entire sure how far Valencya is from here but we certainly aren't equipped for long range universe communication. Even with senshi phones or our signet rings. Commodore Lyndin seems like a good sort, honestly. We could use someone like him to help wrangle Order..." she chuckled, shaking her head. There was another reason she hated meetings of order; it was like herding very loud vocal kittens all who demanded attention right this minute!! Someone like Lyndin could help keep them in line, or at least from talking over one another.

Though that hadn't quite worked when meeting him so...

"What is Velencya like? I've only been here, the Moon, Mars and Uranus, and the name doesn't ring a bell for planets or systems Earth scientists have discovered yet. The fact you have an entire people of a world, when our worlds are... dead or dormant is fascinating," she asked, giving him a place to start. There were so many other things she could ask, but that was a good place for now.

Caedus seemed relieved when she said she thought Commodore Lyndin seemed like a good sort, like he could breathe a little easier. He nodded, and a smile remained on his face.

“Velencya is a synthetic world. We built it ourselves when our world was taken from us. We had to evacuate. We have created an artificial environment and it is mostly self-sustaining. Sometimes we have to scavenge for resources still but Commodore Lyndin says we have made great advancements. But he is afraid that our systems will fail one day and we will not have a backup. Velencya was only supposed to be temporary until we could reclaim our homeworld, Velenia. But we have not been able to take it back. We travel in the sky, it keeps us safe. It does not surprise me that Earth have not yet discovered it. We are discreet. But you must understand why your world is so fascinating. Your world is an actual, living world. Not something you had to make. Something natural.”

He looked around, perpetually in awe of Earth. “Your world might hold the secret to waking up the other worlds, too. But, even if it did not, I am still fond of this world for the people on it. I have many friends here. I want them to be safe.”

"I'm not sure about this world having the 'power of waking' but I won't deny we're sort of a nexus for powered individuals to awaken," she said with a shrug, smiling at his adoration of her planet and the people within it. It was good to know he cared for them, even if they were not his own people. It reassured her that at the very least Caedus wouldn't do anything nefarious to her world and the people here.

"How did Velenia become lost? Metallia, or someone similar to her?" she asked, now thoroughly interested and curious. Even a synthetic world that held life was intriguing; she knew scientists on Earth kept trying to find life on other planets, or how to support life in space, but Caedus and his people were so far beyond that it was almost terrifying. At the same time, it was also uplifting to know that people on other worlds had the same 'grit' that humans did; not ones to die out so easily.

“No,” Caedus answered a bit sadly. “Just...people.”

A voice from just behind Andronicus--Lyndin had finally appeared, and seemed to have arrived just in time to hear the tail end of their conversation. “They came from another world because they saw us as weak. They thought we’d roll over and they could have our resources. But, that wasn’t enough. They couldn’t just steal, they had to humiliate us. We were children at the time, we escaped the worst of it. But the horrors lingered in our elders. There are so few left. I apologize if I’m intruding, I wondered where Caedus got off to.”

Caedus couldn't help but smile at how predictable Lyndin was. “You are not unwelcome, I think. But I do not wish to presume.”

“If I am interrupting, I don’t mind leaving.” He smiled at Andronicus politely. “I just wanted to make sure everything was alright.”

Andronicus frowned, nodding in solidarity. Sounded like many wars in the Earth's history. She gave a nod at Lyndin, bowing her head a little. "People are... That's how a lot of wars in Earth's history happened, on the mundane civilian side. I'm sorry for the loss of your people and world, I can't imagine going through that as a child. And, you are not intruding. I was telling Caedus that I was out of line before, and I'd like to extend that apology to you as well," she said, bowing at the waist very proper like.

"I am Andronicus, Knight of Uranus. I've become rather... jaded over the years with the war between Order and Chaos here - in that powered individuals tend to have a lack of awareness about the civilians and property damage - so seeing you here, with this plan to destroy Metallia once and for all set me on guard. I apologize for coming off harshly," she said, with another bow. Between memories of a future that didn't come to pass - thankfully - someone trying to create another Rift inside Destiny City's subway system, the whole thing with Mirrorspace, the last time they went into the Rift, and what she'd heard through the grapevine about the Surrounding and Barren Pines, neither side could really just chill out for longer than a few weeks. If that.

"I say Knight of Uranus, but Uranus is dormant... dead? I dunno, and I swear more allegiance to the civilians of this world than some empty world in space, so really just Andronicus is fine." Even her past self was more inclined to help the people than protect her princess or Serenity honestly... Not sure what that said about her.

Lyndin watched Andronicus thoughtfully, and he listened carefully. “You don’t need to bow,” he assured. “I appreciate your apology, but it’s unnecessary. I cannot say I wouldn't have been resistant as well. You’re only looking after your people, I respect that. If others are unaware of the damage they do to this world, they are lucky to have you looking after them.”

He seemed sincere in this. “Those with power should be using it for the betterment of the people. There’s no point in fighting for what you believe in if you’re going to destroy everything in the process. I assure you, I have only the utmost respect for any world that cultivates life. This planet has worked hard to maintain it, it should be protected. Do you think Andronicus is really an empty world?” he asked, obviously curious. “Does it have no spark of life at all? There, or in all of Uranus?”

Andronicus thought about it for a while, thinking about the worlds she'd been on in her time as a Knight of Uranus. "Well... I can say for certain than the planets of the Sol System do not have senshi that are alive currently. I dunno if that means they're dead or dormant. The only royal senshi that I know of are Chronos - who guards the Surrounding -, Castor, Ganymede, and Polaris, who have their own knights and worlds. Then there's Cosmos, but she seems to be an entity all to herself. My wonder, the Andronicus, is pretty damn empty unless I'm there," she said with a shrug, listing the royal senshi she knew with her fingers.

"When I first went to my Wonder, it was covered in sand and in disarray. I've spent the last several years trying to clean it up and repair it, but some floors of the tower are just lost to time. Floor fell into others, some of the doors don't open anymore, there's a weird graveyard in the basement. The other wonders I've been too - Mistral, Olympus, Chauvet - are empty, beyond the odd ancestor ghost. Olympus, more specifically, holds part of the Knight's Code." That was roughly the jist of worlds that she knew of, or had been on proper.

Otherwise, everything else seemed dead or abandoned. Unless you brought a succulent to Uranus, nothing grew there.

"I dunno if there's no 'spark of life' at all, but there's nothing but sand, wind, and the sky. Even the wonders on Uranus are spread far out, and I'd assume the capital of the planet is completely abandoned and empty."

Caedus listened as she spoke, but his face had settled into a small frown, and his brows knit in what might have been disappointment. “I am sorry to hear that. It sounds difficult. But I know you must be doing your best.”

Lyndin exhaled, similarly disappointed but there was more of a heaviness in his sigh. “I am surprised to hear that there are Knights on any world without their Senshi,” he admitted. “I thought their powers lay dormant in the absence of their protector, but...I suppose there is a lot in this universe that we do not know. And even more than we do not understand. It is fortunate that you are here and have been given the chance, at least. I only hope that you get the opportunity to do something with it. I must assume that Cosmos has a plan. I am surprised to hear that you know her. The Cauldron cannot be left unattended. Or are there so few starseeds left that she is not missed when she travels? ...I hope she has protectors there, at least. This universe…”

He was quiet for a few seconds and then shrugged. “...Isn’t really safe. But I’m sure she knows what she’s doing.”

"I've met her... once? After the last time Caedus was here," she replied of Cosmos, "She pulled us out of the Rift. She has her own knights, as well. And we have so many senshi here, both of Order and Chaos, that have their own worlds but no knights, so I guess unless you somehow give your world to Metallia or your starseed is eaten, it sort of just exists in stasis until you awaken again?" she said with a shrug. Andronicus was decidedly not a senshi and had no real idea how that whole thing worked, honestly. She was just bound to a dead(?) princess.

Though... the Sol System was weird to be honest.

"I'd love to learn more about the Silver Millennium and my previous stints as Andronicus, but English was not a language back then apparently. Every book or piece of paper still intact is in languages I can't read. We're essentially cut off unless our ancestors or memories try to fill in the blanks. Even then, it seems pretty limited." Again, Andronicus shrugged. It was what it was, and trying to force it wouldn't help.

"Did Velenia have a senshi?"

As Andronicus recounted the story, Caedus looked guilty; the ambush into the Dark Kingdom was not exactly a failure, but neither had it succeeded in crushing Chaos like he’d hoped. He regretted that he could not hold the portal up for any longer than he had, and that he’d been at the mercy of Cosmos’ generosity. He was not proud that they had needed her. But, he was glad that she had been there for them.

He had not seen her, he could only go off of stories told to him, but it was enough.

“Velenia did, yes. Once. A long time ago,” Lyndin answered. “Do you have any of these texts on you? I have studied many languages. Perhaps I can find something to help you translate your records? We have studied many languages of the Sol System.”

Andronicus shook her head at Lyndin's question. "No, I've been loath to try to remove them from the shelves in the event they break apart or turn to dust in my hands. I could take you to the Andronicus, both of you, though, if you'd like to see them for yourself," she offered to the two aliens. She'd never really taken anyone to her wonder before, but they might be able to decipher whatever Alexia and her ser left behind.

She smiled at Caedus' expression. She didn't blame him; the Code had other plans that used Caedus' venture as a means to an end. One that had left her irritable for a few weeks but seemed to be a good plan? She still wasn't sure, honestly. But she never blamed Caedus. To be honest, she liked Caedus too much to blame him for anything.

"What happened to Sailor Velenia, if you don't mind me asking?"
