For as much buildup as there was to it all, things were still surprisingly the same between Wyatt and Lukas after their first rain soaked kiss. They still did their work, they still traveled the streets together, and they still were considered the 'ma and pa' of their little camp. What Lukas could much more vividly call a change was affection. Kisses came easy and were given freely, as were cuddles and sharing beds. He'd chuckle to himself every now and then at the simple thought that they had been so deeply a married couple already before the first confession was made. Though uh, the lack of subtlety made it a tiny bit more awkward when they were caught a little too cozy more than once by their Park mates. Especially when they would proudly announce 'I KNEW IT', starting a whole flurry of giggles from anyone within listening range. There was something missing though, now that he thought about it. That lead to him asking Wyatt to take off two days in a row from work for a little not-so-far away vacation he had come up with. The day of of, he was already brimming with excitement, nearly jumping off the platform of his tower to ratta-tat-tat on Wyatt's RV's Door. "Wyaaaatttt!! Yah up and ready? Daddy's just rarin' to go!" Whatever Lukas had brewing had Wyatt curious, but also rather amused. So of course he had gotten up bright and early that morning to prepare them a to-go breakfast of sausage egg and cheese breakfast burritos and a thermos of coffee, doctored to each's preference. A funny thing that Wyatt knew just how Lukas liked his, despite only just becoming an official 'thing.' Wyatt still made a bit of a show about being fake-annoyed at Lukas' more amorous antics while also indulging them at the same time, because that was their little game, and it would be a shame to end it now. The only difference was that Wyatt now enacted his own playful kind of revenge, most often in trying to see how red he could make Lukas' face go. Their more open and flagrant flirting had, indeed, garnered much talk and excitement through the camp, and their 'children' gossiped excitedly, made their bets, and ponied up to bets that had already been made. And Wyatt had maybe caught what a few were saying, and kept that knowledge in his back pocket so to speak as ammunition for making Lukas blush, because oh how he loved to do that... Wyatt was wrapping the second, and last, of the burritos in its aluminum wrapper when a knock came at his door. An amused smile and a chuff of air followed as Wyatt called back; "Just wrapped up-" Pun intended, although Lukas would never know that it was a pun. With burritos in one hand and thermoses tucked in to his arm, he reached for the door, pulling it open to see his exuberant partner. The morning chill hit him, and he was glad for his jacket - a western style denim jacket with a sherpa-like material lining it. It was thrown over a flannel button up which was paired with some nondescript jeans and the only pair of decent boots Wyatt owned. Wyatt's necklace that he had been given just before leaving the ranch in Colorado peeked out from his shirt, resting softly against his collar bone and catching the morning light that filtered in the door around Lukas. However the chill of the morning air was nothing next to the emotional warmth he'd felt these past few days. Wyatt got up on his toes and planted a brief but firm kiss on Lukas' lips before pressing a warm thermos against his partner's chest. "I made breakfast."

Knowing Wyatt as well as he did at this point... There was a joke in there somewhere about being 'wrapped up', even if he didn't know what it was yet. But he could certainly imagine it, the goofy smile he had to himself while he let his partner remain standing in the cold air. But he wasn't exactly waiting long when the door swung open, and he saw just what he was hoping for.. Breakfast! And of course Wyatt. The door opening gave him not only a puff of warm air and the smell of delicious breakfast making his stomach rumble, but also the feeling of sweet lips against his own that tested his will to simply not go back into the Wyatt's bed. Though, he'd resist, instead taking the offered thermos and giving a very delighted rumble in the back of his throat. "Ah, perfect... And here I thought we'd stop at any ol' fast food place... I'm right to be spoiled I think." Lukas laughed to himself. heading towards the truck that he had kinda claimed as his own for the time being. "I'm glad you dressed up cozy. We're in for a bit of outdoorsyness today. I promise though, yah not gonna be worn out that fast!"

"With enough of my food, you'll never consider fast food an option again~' Wyatt said, brimming with confidence in his culinary capabilities. He followed Lukas to the truck, which by now Lukas had probably driven more than he had, and buckled in, handing Lukas a burrito once they were both settled. "Knowing you, I guessed it would be something outdoors," Wyatt said with a teasing tone, unwrapping his burrito. Not that he minded. So long as it wasn't some sort of sport or Cosmos forbid, golf, he didn't mind. After all, he had never been much of a team player, and his own physical capabilities had never leaned towards jock. Honestly, he had too many brain cells for that. Along with a propensity to avoid concussions, if he could. "You do have me curious, but~ I'll let myself be surprised."

“I dunno, babe, sometimes you just gotta sink your teeth into something so fatty and unhealthy, you forget about all the stress you got.” The memory that came to mind was that night of his awakening… The anger from Wyatt, the burgers, the stress.. A homemade burrito wouldn’t have had the same effect of that weirdly juicy burger. “But I’d choose this love wrapped burrito any other time though.” Taking it, he unrolled it and took a bite before starting up the truck and starting the long drive back down the mountain. “Could always play a guessing game. Or nap until we get there post-burrito. It ain’t that far, but far enough that you can get comfortable.”

"Hmmm," Wyatt began in a faux-thoughful tone, denoting that what he was about to follow up with was a joke, "Let's see~ You enjoyed renovating the tower with me and helping me build a porch so much that you decided to take up house flipping and now you're using me as physical labor and calling it a date." He looked over at Lukas with the know-it-all teasing smile. On a more serious note, it wasn't all together something Wyatt hadn't considered, although not quite house-fliping, but rather something else. He had seen how tiny homes were becoming thing, especially those made out of containers - some just big enough to fit in a parking spot, some bigger. Wyatt had the barest beginnings of an idea that such a thing would be great for the newly purified to have a temporary place to stay. Or heck, maybe even those who were seriously considering it and needing a place to get their s**t together.... He had nothing solid in mind. Again, it was just the barest beginning of an idea, but renting out a bunch of tiny homes wouldn't have been his wildest idea.

Lukas honestly snort laughed at that, near choking on the probably way too big of a bite of his burrito that he took. “Me using you for physical labor? Nah, nah, I’m the handy man around here! If anything, I’d be using you as a foreman to keep me on track!” He shook his head in near disbelief, sitting the burrito down in favor of reaching over to playfully pat Wyatt’s legs. “Maybe with a bit more time, and when the park is pretty much running itself, then I can consider the idea of house flipping or makeovers or what not with you at the lead.” The idea of them going into business together was a sweet thought, but not enough to go into it full force right off the bat. He wasn’t exactly the best planner out there, not when his skills seemed to focus more on the idea of the actual physical labor of it all rather than plotting.. “Babe, think a little more selfishly. This is a date after all. And a date catered to what I know you like. And… Uh… I don’t think business propositions is high up on that list of ideal dates.. Is it?”

"Now you know full well I held my own with your tower, my porch, that outdoor theater~ ...but if you insist.... I am better at the planning and logistics anyway." Wyatt responded in the same playful tone as before. "Hmmm, I guess math camp is out of the question," another tease. Although he was a numbers guy, it wasn't exactly something he'd see Lukas subjecting himself to, even if it were on a date for his sake. For that matter, game night at the local diner was out. "Whatever it is," Wyatt began, reaching an arm out behind Lukas and lightly began flipping that mahogany ponytail to and fro like it were a toy, and he was beckoning a cat to come play, "-I'm sure you've put a lot of heart in to it." After all, Lukas was that starry-eyed romantic type, it seemed to Wyatt, despite what he'd experienced before. It was admirable and sweet, he'd give it that much, even if he made a show of faux exasperation. It also made Wyatt more determined to do right and good by Lukas. For Lukas. For them. Without even noticing it, Lukas had managed to wrap Wyatt around his finger - he could have asked just about anything of Wyatt and he'd all but move the stars and stop time just to make it so.

"I know, I know, you got me there... My strong, handsome man you are, heh." All things considered, Wyatt was strong and tough and... Honestly incredible. Who else would go through not only all the heart ache and tragedy he had, AND literally breaking his, well, everything, and still find the time to move on ahead? To come back to this city and face those demons even kinda head on? It blew Lukas away, time and time again. Even now, he was amazed at how easily Wyatt went along with his silly ideas, embracing them fully with the utmost trust... They had really come a long way from when they met, hadn't they? "... No, no math camp. I'm not bad at math camp, but I can't imagine it being sexy..." He muttered, pressing his head back against that hand that played with his hair. The urge to close his eyes and nuzzle it was there, but eyes were needed for the road and all. "Huh, but I guess the place we're headed isn't really sexy either... Whatever, you're wrong again, but you're going to love it." Luckily for him, it wasn't that far either. Part way down the mountains remained a valley, opened wide and lush grasses for a surprisingly far ways away. And in that valley was a dirt road that he turned down, leading them under a gate that said, very stupidly "Camp Clip-Clop". While driving past it, he pointed at the sign, that stupid grin he loved to wear so much wide and waiting for the realization to hit his little partner. "Come on now, Wyatt. You're a smart man. give it some real good thought, yeh? What does that name mean?"

As they were driving up, Wyatt read the gate and there was a quickening of his heart, and he maybe had a bit of a blush. Just jaw seemed to move as if he were going to say something, before clenching tight, then loosening again as he bit his lip. Bless his tsundere little heart, expressing the excitement he felt was just not something he could allow himself to do, but despite his attempts at maintaining a cool, calm, stoic demeanor, his most minute reactions betrayed him. He knew he had to say something. Something in typical Wyatt fashion. Something that wasn't the giddiness he felt within. "You uh..you don't have to try so hard to get laid, you know?" Wyatt finally managed, shooting back at that stupid grin with his his own classic smirk, still with that light tinge of blush to his cheeks. Still, that hand that had been playing with Lukas' mahogany hair took hold of his hand - only needed one to steer, right? - and squeezed, rubbing a thumb over Lukas' own.

Lukas’s eyes kept darting over to Wyatt, wanting to watch the changes in his expression, but knowing he needed to actually watch the road. That blush was hard to miss though, as was the struggle to say anything at all. And perhaps, under his own breath, he murmured a soft “cute….” At the struggle Wyatt seemed to be going through. A hearty laugh echoed through the truck at the silly assumption, and happily allowed his hand to be squeezed, squeezing right back, and even pulling it up to his lips to kiss the back of. “Do yah really think I’d bring you to a place called Camp Clippity Clop if I was lookin’ to get laid? I mean, It’s still a kids camp at the end of the day. Probably the least sexy place out here in the woods! But they got them cute horses here, big enough for me, so plenty big enough for you too. And plenty of room to just… Run. I was hopin’ maybe you’d like it, just a little bit.”

"Well obviously not here but- Okay, racking up cuddle points then~" Wyatt had to concede on that point. But he was at least right about one thing - Lukas' plan was a very sweet, heartfelt, one. while many would have been completely traumatized from his prior accident and vow never to ride again, or hell, never go near a horse again, Wyatt was a bit more resillient than that. Sometimes people would come to the camp and bring their horses to ride on the trails there, and Wyatt would always excitedly - or as excitedly as he allowed himself to show - go up and greet them. Them meaning the horses. The people were just a formality. "Yes. I do like it. Quite a bit."

"Cuddle points I can do." As he pulled into a dirt parking lot and properly stopped the car, he couldn't help himself from leaning over, just a bit closer to Wyatt. Lukas gently pushed some of that soft, grey hair out and away from his partner's forehead, placing a delicate kiss right to his temple. "I can assure you, hun, that there ain't nothin' I wouldn't do for you. I got bigger plans one day, but for now, I just wanna see if you can still ride. We can go right to the stables if you want, they're all ready for us."

In the relative privacy of the vehicle Wyatt leaned a little into that delicate kiss to his head, closed his eyes and gave a soft smile. Wyatt though to himself that luckily, as far as his prior injuries went, it was more his knee than his hips which would be seeing most of the brunt of their impending day of riding. Even then, it was nothing he wasn't absolutely fully prepared to grin and bare. He was more than confident that he could, indeed, still ride. With a soft sigh he opened his eyes and locked them with Lukas' in a moment of silent intimacy that came with no touch, no words, just staring warmly into the portal to the soul of another. Lukas really was too good for him, but he wasn't about to to tell him that. "Then let's not keep them waiting."

That tiny bit of affection from Wyatt made the entirety of the trip worth it. No, even the first smile was more than enough, but that kiss. Maybe to some, it didn't look like alot, or maybe even the bare minimum that some would expect, but to Lukas, who knew Wyatt to be a prickly, almost cold man at times, this meant the world to him. Now a bright, happy blush crossed his cheeks, down his neck, across his ears, and it was with that little bit of silent intimacy he just knew he had done well. Hours upon hours of snooping online for info worked magically. "They can wait just one more sec, can't they? Finish your burrito, and let me tell you how much I adore you." Tinted windows or not, Lukas never was any good at hiding his own affections, and leaned right on over to press a kiss right on Wyatt's jaw, below his ear, then one more against his throat. "I'd say happy birthday or Merry Christmas but... This is just cuz I like yah so much. So keep on smilin' like that for me today, mkay?"
