Caliban grumbled as he kicked at a rock and watched it fall into the pond that he was near. He had been powering up quite a bit more, especially now that his moon was finally free of any bad feelings there and no longer having to worry about the monster finally coming free. And then the Earth had aliens. It just seemed to be one thing after another this year didn't it? First it was that random attack by the Negaverse on that office building, that Wonder, his moon, and now aliens. And he didn't even trust them. Why did they have to build a giant weapon to kill the Negaverse? That sounded like something from a movie where when you used it and the dust finally settled, then you would find the villain standing there and laughing at the useless attack. Could the aliens really be trusted as well? The one, Caedus, had to have been captured for some reason by the Negaverse. He was clearly important, even if he had been able to escape their clutches. What was he not telling them? They wanted their world back, was that the Negaverse? He wasn't sure where to let go of this anger and he was getting rid of it by wandering near the pond to the point where he had practically warn a path down with his steps. He just wanted to go back to his Homeworld. Even if he could only go back once a week, that would be better than waiting for whatever the aliens were going to do next. During a moment of pause he thought he heard some movement and whipping his head around yelled out, "Who's there? Don't surprise me because I will attack you!"

Valnyr hadn't intended to be quite so loud, but she had updated her glamour in light of the fact that a friendly individual had told her she was a little out of 'fashion'. Some research at the library courtesy of things they referred to as 'magazines' had advised her that she needed to adjust her hair a little, lose the hat and get a set of new shoes. She'd managed to do most of that but the new shoes required a little bit of getting used to.
...Her uniform didn't involve heels.
So it was with quite a bit of stumbling and clacking that the poor woman found herself struggling for balance. She really should have practiced before she went out like this but she had underestimated the difference. Alas, it was both frustrating and fascinating, she would need to find a way to accurately document it later (once she had found the appropriate place in the database).
Alas what she hadn't accounted for was the sudden outburst from the nearby 'human'. A very costumed human, who had declared that he was going to attack her.
Oh dear; not again.
"I would really rather you didn't," she squeaked, clasping at her comtech on her wrist. A quick glance down and she noticed the pulse that indicated that an Order aligned individual was nearby. Actually to be more precise, he was directly in front of her. She had another quiet and internal groan to herself as the last time she'd encountered one it hadn't been as favourable as she would have liked.
"I haven't even done anything," she added.
"I was just...passing through?"

No wonder he couldn't sense the aura and it hadn't been because they were a civilian. He relaxed his shoulders and let out a breath. He continued to be on guard though. He didn't find the aliens all too trustworthy considering their ultimate plan. "Sorry I'm just on... high alert tonight. And I was getting rid of some extra energy." Emotional energy, but he didn't care to point out the difference. He looked at the alien, up and down, wondering who exactly she was trying to fool with the appearance, but considering the type of weirdly-dressed characters the city usually saw, perhaps no one would care. He raised an eyebrow at her. "Is there... a reason you're out here? Just exploring the area?" He was curious. He wasn't sure what the alien was doing here, especially in heels. He was glad that his uniform didn't have them. He didn't like to talk much, but perhaps he could learn more about the aliens' plan through her if they did, though she may not have known anything other than what they told Order at that little meeting that they had.

"Learning!" She smiled warmly. It wasn't a complete lie but it also wasn't the whole truth. However in the grand scheme of things any admittance that she might be siphoning energy would put her at risk. Suffice to say that some had not been kind upon hearing of her activities and as such she had settled on providing half truths - to anyone she didn't know she was simply learning what it was to be human... what it was to be as they were and experience what they did. So far she'd been enjoying it even if it was a little bit unusual, but in the grand scheme of things these few days had been eye opening.
...In regards to his energy though.
She hesitated for a moment and then motioned to the crystal clicked in to her comtech with a wry smile.
"If it becomes too much of a burden to wield I can take it from you," she offered softly. "But I have since learned your kind have differing opinions on how we live so I prefer not to be presumptuous," she admitted. Another lie, she would still siphon just a tiny amount from each civilian without them noticing it, but he didn't need to know that.
"But is there a reason to be on high alert?" she did afford a moment to look concerned. She hadn't been advised of anything dangerous and she hadn't seen anything in her GPS but that didn't mean something hadn't shown up unannounced.
"Is it the Negaverse?" She gasped. Now wouldn't that be something interesting to take back even if she did have to run!

Caliban gave the alien a wry smile. "Yeah, that's usually where the danger comes from. Or Youma that are roaming around. Though what I said wouldn't have made a difference to them." He wasn't ready to give any energy to the aliens. Not yet. And even if he did that didn't mean that they would just stop at him and call it complete. They had to drain as much as they could for whatever that weapon would be. He still thought that maybe they should try the sun instead. Or nuclear energy. He crossed his arms, a bit more relaxed. "Sometimes they can be sneaky, even if we do feel their energy. And their own Corrupt Mauvians can cloak any of their auras as well, so it's just best to be ready for any fighting we have to do." He was talking too much and he didn't like it. "What are you learning here in the woods?" Might as well have the alien talk for a bit.

How interesting... She had read a small amount of intel on these individuals but the data hadn't been terribly forthcoming. Caliban had provided considerably more information in a few sentences than she had managed to read in a week. She didn't mean to impose but if he was willing to explain such things at this level then she would prefer not to annoy him to the point he punched or chased her away...
"I wouldn't like to impose but might you consider allowing me to walk with you while you look for these youma?" she asked curiously. She lifted up her comtech briefly to check the GPS, but at present there were no signals she needed to be wary of. She was satisfied she was safe for now but as a precaution she did point at the little pistol strapped to her side. Valnyr hadn't yet used it, preferring to follow orders to the letter and simply flee, but if she had to...
"I can provide a little support if something goes wrong?" she offered gently.
A small pause at his question though and she smiled.
"Nature isn't a thing we have at home and the information we have about this world is very old," she admitted. "I wanted to find out if anything had changed, if we had misunderstood anything and it would be useful to update our records so that we don't get things wrong in future," she finished.

Caliban shrugged at her question. "Yes you can, though it's doubtful that we'll find one. Surprisingly they appear to be few and far between." He wondered where they came from, wherever the Negaverse was, but why were there so few? Did Agents not like them or something? He didn't believe that she would try anything funny. The aliens were trying to stay on the White Moon's good side after all. And he would definitely be willing to broadcast anything wrong that the aliens did. He didn't really think he would need that much support, he had a good eternal attack after all, but perhaps she could be used as bait if need be. He wasn't sure how well she could fight, but if it was as bad as he was as a Senshi in the beginning, then she would definitely be the bait. An eyebrow went up at what she said about nature. "Did you get the information from, trying to remember the name... Caedus? Or have you visited before?" What was the aliens' connection to Earth besides their leader getting rescued by individuals from this planet?

She gave a small squeal of excitement, perhaps a little too much enthusiasm for the average Velencian, but this was a rather unique opportunity and Caliban had permitted her to join him. She wouldn't squander it and she merrily skipped forward to join him, settling into a comfortable stride beside him as he spoke. When he asked about whether she had much information from Caedus though she could do little more than shake her head.
"This is my first time here," she admitted. "Most of us are very young, very few would have had the opportunity to visit this place before," she added. It was hard to put in to context how old some of them truly were, but realistically speaking she was very young by her standards even if she may have seemed old to a human.
"Everything we know has come from our comtechs," she explained and motioned to her wrist. "But we have heard some of the stories that Caedus brought back with him," she continued. She was quiet for a moment as she thought back to some of what had been mentioned, to the dangers that lurked in the shadows and how cruel some of them might very well be.
"It sounds like you have had to fight for many years against this foe," she murmured. "We would like to see an end to that so that you can be free," she continued.
"All of us should be free, to have a planet that blossoms and grows..."

Caliban let her walk beside him. He had to admit that he felt a bit more comfortable having someone, supposedly, on their side with him, even if he was an Eternal. He hadn't yet been able to truly test his powers except for on the monster on his Homeworld, but he wondered if they would work on even a General. He hoped he would get to try it out eventually. He couldn't help but smile a little at her murmurings. "It's been 5 years for me so far. There are others who have been at this much longer than I have. It's hard to tell if we are making a difference or just pushing back the inevitable. But..." he didn't want to sound as though he was doubtful they would win. "Even if it takes many years, I believe that we'll be able to win. Though I do wish we were more organized about it. Your team seems to be much more put together." They appeared to be at least. They had their orders, they followed them. "Even more so than the Negaverse in the small amount of time that I've gotten to know you. And I appreciate you caring for our planet. Honestly I hope that your planet can be restored. It's sad that only one planet out here is truly thriving with life, though I can't say every human is keeping it that way." He couldn't help but frown for a moment, not a rare sight on his usually grumpy face. "Maybe you can take some information from us and use it to help with your planet's restoration efforts."

"Before I was born our homeworld was destroyed by a species that had enslaved us," she shook her head. "We managed to escape, we managed to find a way to survive until we were strong enough to return and claim what's ours," she pointed out softly. "Perhaps this is your equivalent, until the time is right all you can do is remain resilient and hold the line, no?" she asked. She hadn't realised the parallels until then, the similarities between what her Ancestors and these Senshi.
...When all hope was lost they had found a way to save their people.
They still wandered the stars now, watching and waiting for their Senshi to return. However in the time that they had drifted through the universe they had grown strong and resilient. They had survived through determination and the acceptance that if they were ever going to succeed, they would all have to work together and maintain what they had. In the grand scheme of things were the Senshi not doing that for Earth? With their back against the walls they fought endlessly against an overwhelming force but some day they would rise up.
Some day, they would win.
Commodore Lyndin had promised them help and perhaps that day would come sooner than they had previously anticipated.
"We work so well together because it is all we have known and it is the only way we can survive," she smiled softly. "But if you have lessons for us, we would love to hear them," she added and shook her head.
"What do you mean that some aren't keeping it that way though, do you refer to the Negaverse?" She asked. Those men and women she knew of, she was unaware of what other villains currently existed within this world in civilian guise...

Caliban looked surprised. It wasn't... unheard of that an entire planet would be destroyed, though what gravitational and other physical effects that would have in the space around it probably wasn't something that was considered, but it reminded him of his Homeworld. He nodded in agreement. "Yes... though mine is nothing like yours, my Homeworld was plagued by a giant monster that we had to seal inside of a statue after every attack."He frowned. "I don't believe there's anything outside of the large settlement that I've been to left of the planet. And I'm not just talking about life." He turned to her and gave her a small smile. "From what I was able to tell from the records that were there, though I couldn't read them, it had basically destroyed literally everything else on the planet. We were only lucky that my... past life managed to seal it again long enough for me to come back and complete the job of destroying the monster for good." He shook his head and turned to look ahead again, keeping his pace. "Even if I were to go back and try to rebuild my Homeworld at this point, there wasn't much left to it in the first place. I've been to others, even Wonders, and they at least had other settlements or even plants."He sighed. "Sorry, that was quite the ramble. Just, not many people have experienced the same sort of world loss that my Homeworld did. I admire your people for that. You at least have your King and your Commander and others. Senshi though are by ourselves." He wouldn't say anything about the Knights under them. That was for a select few and even he wasn't sure if they could do much. He shrugged his shoulders at her last question. "Greed is a very... powerful feeling on this planet. I can't say it's due solely to the Negaverse, perhaps they do encourage it at the least, but some would rather be able to be above others by accumulating wealth, no matter how they do it. Whether it's by gathering resources that hurt the planet or specifically... killing others. Wars. Considering you're a cadet, I'm sure you've fought others. People on this planet can create a lot of wealth by providing the weapons for others."

"And yet..." she smiled. "Even by yourself, you have restored and protecting so much," she pointed out gently. He was right that the Velencyans had so many they could rely on, their community was driven by a doctrine that ensured their survival. However in order to achieve that they all needed to work together, yet out in deep space, hidden on earth, there were senshi who by the very essence of existing had the power to restore worlds.
"I don't think every world looks so happy and healthy when your kind first finds them, do they?" she asked and shook her head. "Yet somehow, you all manage to make them spring to life just a little more," she continued. "That's what makes you so special, why we wanted to meet you," she explained gently. Perhaps she had misunderstood some of her orders, but that was what she had gotten from them. They were meant to learn from these individuals because they could achieve things without the aid of an entire species.
...By sheer force of will.
Maybe just by a particular 'magic'.
They had a way to restore and heal worlds that over the course of a thousand years Velencya simply hadn't been able to figure out. They were the missing link to returning their world to health and happiness, wasn't that why they were here?
"You have no need to apologise though, I find it interesting!" she added. "Greed is not really something we have at home, we are given everything we need," she explained and then shook her head.
"I did not even know you exchanged strange cards for goods here, we just take what we need!"
She did pause though and shake her head - surprisingly, despite being a cadet, she had never seen combat. Nevertheless she wasn't sure if such detail should be provided to them just in case something was amiss. She could be on friendly terms, but she was aware she needed to keep certain details to herself.

Caliban shook his head. "I had help. There was no way I could have defeated the monster without it. Or at the very least ending my life. I doubt I could have killed it entirely and most likely it would have killed me and moved onto the next Homeworld." He sighed. "It's not the same thing, I know. I am much luckier than your world I understand.""You are right, we are able to restore some of it, though I haven't heard of any being restored fully, even those that have Knights. I hope I will be able to do more with the moon that is my Homeworld, but I can only hope that the civilization there can be restored during my lifetime." Whatever else was on his planet he had no idea. Water, plants? He had never seen any there. Looking out into what he could of his planet, which wasn't much considering how it had been shrouded in darkness most of the time, he hadn't been able to see anything. But he hoped that the next time he went there, he would be able to take a step outside of the walls and see if there was anything out there, even if it was destroyed. He nodded. "Yes, we've come to a point on our planet where... we have leisure time and paper currency or cards for goods used to fill that time. But even for things such as natural resources can be taken in a way that hurts the planet." He chuckled. "And as hard as some of us may try, these companies would lose money if people knew everything that they did and could choose a more... planet friendly one. So they're allowed to keep secrets from all of us."He sighed. "It's unfortunate and makes me wish I could stay at my Homeworld more often, but I have no way of keeping myself sustained for more than a few days there."

Then did that mean that in time the Earth would be destroyed, or did that mean that its own Senshi would intervene to prevent it? She hadn't heard reference too Sailor Earth yet, if anything, she had just taken for granted that they must exist if the planet thrived. After all was that not why they sought Velenia, was it not their influence that would bring everything back to the way it was...?
...However based on what he had said, it appeared that even with a senshi it was much more complicated to restore a world. Worse still, he seemed to indicate that while some could be restored, they weren't restored perfectly. This led to more questions and she had to remind herself that he didn't deserve to be drowned in them, particularly when he might not even know the answer.
One thing she did know for sure though, she would at least need to document the fact that just because a senshi existed, that didn't guarantee that a planet could be saved.
It didn't guarantee that Velenia could be saved.
"Can't Sailor Earth put a stop to it?" she asked after a moment. It was valuable to at least understand the limitations of a senshi. After all, if these problems existed and hadn't been fixed then there must have been a reason for it.
"Surely that would be the logical solution to the issue, to put these individuals in their place and remind them that the planet is for everyone and not just them..."

Caliban shrugged. "I'm not sure. We haven't heard of a Sailor Earth, or at least I haven't. I can't tell you if anyone else has, there are others who have been Senshi longer than I have. You might talk to them and see if they have seen or heard of them." He did wonder if they had one. The Earth couldn't exist without one, right? Or at least it wouldn't be alive. He wasn't sure how it worked. He gave her a small smile. "You would think. There are ways, but there are reasons that it hasn't been done. People aren't willing to for some. Most of us are just struggling to stay afloat. Some even like the products that these people who are destroying the planet are making. And even those of us who may not want their products and attempt to do the right thing, may be tricked into buying something that's harmful.
"I believe if enough of us were to go out and force the change, it could happen. But the main problem is numbers and the weapons that could be used against us. The world is fighting back, but there are others who believe that whatever we do to the planet it will be just fine." He shook his head. "I don't understand it myself. Perhaps you could tell us some of the things you do and we could incorporate that into our lives."He took a deep breath and let it out. "If you ever do plan to go up against a corrupt government or organization make sure to tell me." He said with a chuckle. "I really don't know if chaos is behind it, but I think that's one of the reasons that we should take them down. If Earth is the only inhabitable Homeworld left, we should do everything we can to save it. You feel the same about your Homeworld right?"
