Homeworld Visit: 28th August 2021 (Backdate)

It should have been green, the planet, should have had colour. The Athalian senshi stood in shock as he gazed out upon a tainted and otherwise destroyed region of the planet. It didn't look like it had spread everywhere yet, but the effects of the decay could be seen in this region as far as the eye could see. No longer did he have green landscapes or even beige. He had been greeted with ugly, black and weeping trees; in fact they much resembled the fractured monument... And in those moments he was rather glad that he couldn't hear the planet in the manner his species had once had the ability to do it.

"Well," The calm voice finally broke the silence as his visitor examined what lay before her. He had expected to make the request and yet here she was, gazing out over a home planet, something she would never be able to do on her own. Though calm she did seem a bit more muted as the gravity of the situation finally dawned upon her. His request for assistance had come at much amusement to her and when he had bargained his own energy (almost all of it) in exchange her curiosity had been piqued.

...Now she understood why.

"It was more impressive several months ago," He sounded particularly grave. The shard storms hadn't destroyed the region as he had anticipated and quite frankly he was beginning to believ that it might have been more of a mercy if they had.

"I would believe it," she replied simply, slipping her hands into her sleeves as she turned her gaze to him. Her features were warm, reassuring and it was with a nod that she encouraged him to move beyond where they had initially landed. She knew better than to assume that she possessed any strength to change what had occurred here but he had been clear that he had read that they hadn't achieved this 'alone' the last time. Why he hadn't requested Order assistance was beyond her, or perhaps he had and for some reason it had failed.

Maybe this taint was more aligned to her than him? It certainly didn't feel chaotic, but she was far from an expert.

"It's this way," he cleared his throat having regained his composure and began to move towards the monument. It was still standing, fractured and weeping as he had left it all those months ago, yet where the magic had bled it had certainly left its mark. He could only assume that it had spread from here and moved into the forest that lay beyond. He might be showing his age but he was staring to think that he had stumbled in to the plot of Fern Gully with its corrupt tree.

"I would strongly advise that you don't touch it," he added as he peered at the runes. He still couldn't read them, he didn't even know why he bothered to pay them any heed.

"So if I am to understand this correctly you wish for me to channel my powers into this structure in an attempt to knit it back together?" she furrowed her brow. Her magic in no way, shape, or form could heal rocks. Honestly her magic couldn't heal anything, it could command it to a degree, more appropriately persuade it, but given the rock wasn't exactly sentient she wasn't entirely confident she understood what this would achieve.

"That seems to be what is necessary," he admitted. "I think they overloaded it by assaulting it with magic of their own until it fell," he pointed out softly.

Shaowei lifted a brow, but she did think better of pointed out that his 'think' implied that he was either missing some context from whatever he had sourced this information from, or it was a shot in the dark.

"Very well," she took a breath and stepped forward. She closed her eyes, gave a small bow as she often did when she entreated her victims and placed her 'influence' upon the monolith. It was an action that achieved precisely nothing, or at least it was until the monolith gave a sudden pulse and threw her backwards - fortunately Athalia had the reflexes to break her fall.

With both unceremoniously thrown back they were afforded a time to observe the monolith.

As Shaowei was clambering to her feet once more and dusting her skirts down, Athalia had already moved closer to inspect the structure for any signs of success. Unfortunately nothing seemed to have changed, the runes remained untouched and the 'magic' continued to weep into the soil at the base.

"Damn," he muttered, refraining from kicking his sandal against the ground in a petulent fashion.

"I'm sorry, Athalia," she gave his arm a light pat. "Perhaps my abilities simply aren't agreeable, maybe you need more than one of you?" she suggested. She had no idea if it would work, but she knew of no single senshi that could unleash the abuse upon something of this size and achieve the destruction he had referenced elsewhere. It seemed more plausible that it had been done by several individuals at the same time.

"It's possible," he agreed, sighing at the prospect of having to gather willing participants, and even then would he be able to draw in enough of them? Given that he wasn't even sure how many would be needed and the fact he could only bring a certain amount himself, his options would be fairly limited.

"On the plus side it's still alive?"

"For now," He growled and beckoned for her to follow. "I swore to Namielle I wouldn't stay here for long, my presence is more damaging at the moment than helpful, or at least that's what we thing," he conceded and placed his hand on her shoulder when they were a safe distance away.

"I'll take you home now," he finished, to which he received a nod.

"I just have one question though," she asked as he flicked out his phone. "Why is the magic on that one flowing backwards?" she finished. In response his eyes flicked back to her rather suddenly, but he wasn't afforded the opportunity to answer immediately as they were returned to earth in a blink.
