Another evening and another quiet adventure through the city. Shaowei had never been one to attract trouble and generally speaking even when she powered up her methods of sifting energy from others was far from nefarious. She was quite proud of this fact and had 'mastered' the art of sifting very small amounts of many people to maximise the results but minimise the impact that she had on them. It was slower than some might have liked but in the end she was a firm believer in finding a way to live alongside those they needed to sustain them.

...Wipe them all out and then they'd have nothing, you know?

Nevertheless there were evenings when she was aware that she might need a little more energy than she tended to collect and tonight was starting to feel like one of those. For some reason the busy streets were a little quieter, perhaps there were less shows on this week and the traffic was lower, but this did mean she had to make the deficit up somehow. Fortunately she had an idea, she just needed to wait for her guest to get here.

Flicking her compact open she scrolled through the contacts list and eventually pressed her fingertip gently against one, sending a brief text to Bellorophon with her location. Once he was here she would explain what she was planning, give him a very brief warning of what might happen depending on how well they were received, and then they would set out to get their wraiths fattened up for the evening...at least that was the plan anyway, she'd have to see how well that worked out!

Bellerophon had been surprised to see the text from Shaowei considering how little he received any texts from the Dark Mirror, but he wasn't displeased. Instead he decided to immediately follow to where she was, only taking a moment to make sure there were no other auras around that might mean trouble. After all, even if no one but a Dark Mirror could send a text on the compacts, she could have been forced into doing so!

However, she appeared to be quite alone this evening and easily made it to her. "Shaowei! Anything going on?" He said, a bit concerned. He hoped that it was good news at least. He wasn't sure how to handle bad news at this moment from people he had only talked to once.

"Rest assured I can be relied upon to have very little drama," she chuckled as he came into view. She might not know him well yet, but she would at least soothe any nerves he might have. She was relatively boring in comparison to other Dark Mirror, provoking neither side and as a consequence, achieving absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of any political games. From an entirely selfish point of view that worked out well for her as it allowed her to walk around completely unhindered most of the time... But no doubt her luck would run out at some stage.

"But there is absolutely nothing going on in the entertainment district this evening and that is my challenge for this evening," she sighed and motioned to her otherwise 'bored' Wraiths, or as bored as an otherwise stoic entity could be. With nothing to do they were wafting around her like small will-o-wisps, probably something that from a distance was creepy, but she was accustomed to their company by now.

"So I thought I might aim for a slightly different target and depending on their mood this could go two very different ways," she mused. "I thought it best open the invitation to someone so that in the event it goes poorly there should be enough of us there to calm the situation down and slip away as peacefully as possible," she added. She hadn't meant to sound vague and even she frowned at her words.

"What I mean to say is that I am aware of a White Moon of reasonable strength and if I can get the wraiths close enough to him, at least for a set period of time, it may be feasible to drain comparative energy from him as all the citizens that aren't currently out this evening...But he can be moody."

"I prefer not to hurt individuals where I can and unfortunately those without powers seem to be a little more vulnerable to our influence, so I thought it best to balance the need and seek out something else to provide the excess energy I need. I doubt he'll miss it, it'll come back for him, I'm just not entirely confident he'll be feeling charitable..."

"All right then, I'll here what you're planning." And as he listened he became a bit more unsure. He really didn't like confrontation and doing it on purpose was even worse. It made him extremely nervous since she was essentially suggesting that they fight a White Moon senshi on purpose. "Is this to make up for what happened during that battle? I know you weren't there but you probably heard we were attacked by a White Moon right? Are you trying to do this to make it a bit more even?" He could understand why she wanted to take all of that energy. If they could take energy from powered individuals whenever they wanted, they would most likely be set for decades.

But he wasn't sure if he was up for the idea of specifically going after someone who would fight back to do it. "Are you going to at least ask for some energy first? If they fight back I would feel better about fighting whoever they are..." But to make the first move was a no-no on his part. If they didn't at least ask then he would leave as soon as he could. He wasn't going to be a part of harming someone on purpose or getting on their bad side just because they wanted to try their luck.

"Battle? Oh goodness no," she shook her head and gave a soft laugh. "I have no desire to make us 'even' with anything," she reassured him and motioned for him to follow. If he decided that he didn't want to participate then she wouldn't force him, but she would be interrupting a certain senshi's otherwise quiet evening in pursuit of a useful source of energy.

"I am more interested in gathering as much energy as possible with as minimal impact," she pointed out. His questions were valid though and given his concerns he was entitled to some answers. "And I will ask for some, yes," she added. "However I may have to do it a slightly different way than you are expecting," she continued.

For all she knew this one might have been at that battle and depending on the circumstances his initial actions might be hostile. To protect both herself and Bellorophon she was going to have to make use of her abilities first and foremost, and then depending on how things went they might be able to progress more peacefully from there.

"Just out of interest what do your own abilities do?" she asked curiously. If he had something useful she might request he cast it, and that way they had covered their bases. If things went particularly poorly then they could run, but she preferred to be optimistic in these circumstances. After all, they were both attempting to not hurt the innocent, they were asking for donations from a source that could spare it, right?

Well, perhaps she was telling the truth. He relaxed a little though made sure to stay on guard, just in case. And he decided to follow her to wherever it was she was wanting to go. Though he did question how she would ask different than what he was expecting. That sounded like she wouldn't be asking at all.

He sighed as he followed her. "Mine is a fire breath attack. It only goes out 3 feet but it's good for getting people off of me and out of my face at least." He said. While it could be combined with other attacks, he wasn't sure if it would do something different combined with what he thought may be a psychological attack for her abilities.

"Really hope this doesn't come back to bite us..." he muttered. He might have to talk this out with someone if it did.

"Well that is wonderfully fortuitous for both of us," Shaowei seemed genuinely impressed with his abilities. If he could push people off him then he would be able to deflect any projectiles her target threw and generally speaking, he did tend to throw them regularly. "In the event that anything comes soaring in our general direction would you be so kind as to use that?" she asked and offered a winning smile.

As she rounded the corner she felt a flurry of activity within her, sensing an Order aura nearby. It was of a similar power level to her own and easy to follow as it didn't necessarily seem to be moving. Sure enough it wasn't long before she had caught sight of the white and red clothed figure, his jewels glinting underneath the street light as he reviewed some sort of keyring in his hand and a screen on top.

Well she had no idea what that was but at least he was distracted.

From her subspace pocket she withdrew her two mirror shards and gave them a little wobble to 'wake' her companions up, causing the two wraiths to materialise. While they weren't the most intelligent things in the world they could at least adhere to basic commands and it was with a gentle motion that she pointed towards the Senshi and sent them on their merry way.

It went exactly as she had suspected it would - no sooner had one of the wraiths delicately pressed against the senshi than his hand had lashed out and smashed it against the wall. It disintegrated in an instance, and given the circumstances Shaowei waved her other hand to redirect her remaining companion as the Senshi spun round, picked up the nearest projectile (a rather large brick) and threw it towards them with very little hesitation.

"Now, if you please!" she called to her companion before giving a bow of her own and casting her own spell.

"Shaowei's Plea!"

Shaowei's Plea
Super Sailor Scout Attack: "Shaowei's Plea"
    Duration: 15 Seconds.
Number of Uses: 2 Times per Battle
Range: Frontal (15ft), for this magic to hit the target needs to be looking at her.
    Attack Type: Daze/Slow
    Description:
Shaowei clasps her hands to her chest and then motions to the target sending a 'ripple' of energy towards the player. This ripple in itself does nothing to the target save for the sensation of a breeze as it hits. However, when 'struck' the target will find themselves unable to step forward as if they are listening to the silent plea.

Had he explained it wrong? It appeared that the Senshi had gotten the wrong idea about his powers. "Uh, it's not... I mean just in the sense that it can hurt-" but he was pretty sure she hadn't heard him as she continued on her way. He fought with himself as to whether or not to tell her that he couldn't use his powers that way, but before he could gather then courage to talk to her about it, it appeared that she had found the Senshi that she was looking for!

He felt bad for the wraith as it was disintegrated. Those things were hard to get and whether or not they had feelings, they still appeared to be some sort of living... thing.

And she apparently wanted him to use his powers to stop a flying object?! No way that was going to happen with his fire breath! Instead he ran over and knocked the object out of the way using his bracers and getting out of his ally's way immediately, not wanting to get hit with her attack. He wasn't sure if it was the type that could distinguish friend from foe, but he didn't want to take the chance!

He wasn't sure what her spell did, though he remembered her describing it a little. He would just have to see, if it hit his opponent, how it worked on them.

Credit where it was due, Bellorophon's reaction time had been quick enough to not just deflect the projectile, but send it back in the rough direction of the temporarily stunned Senshi. Shaowei's attack had been successful in the sense that Athalia had been unable to move forward as swiftly as he had intended and the brick he had thrown in greeting soon thumped against his shoulder in a fashion that did make him wince.

He'd been bloodied, it wasn't possible for the corner of something that 'sharp' not to do some damage, but it had also served to wake him up slightly from his daze. His expression was decidedly thunderous in the moments that he started forward again and he almost seemed to be ready to cast his own spells and plunge towards them.

...Until Shaowei very purposefully stepped in front of her fellow court member and offered a wry smile towards Athalia.

If crickets could have been cued in those moments, they would have serenaded all of them.

"You?" He snapped, pausing in his step as he stared at the familiar woman and then promptly leaned to the side to inspect who was behind her.

"What are you playing at, you both could have been killed," he hissed.

"Ooooh, I doubt it," Shaowei gave a wave of her hand dismissively, but she didn't move from where she was. She had promised Bell that they wouldn't be hurt and she was going to make sure it stayed that way. Sure they might have dented the man but in the grand scheme of things he was fine and that little nick would heal.

"Besides he can set you on fire," she warned.

"Uh huh," the order senshi didn't seem convinced. "We've been through this before, if you're aiming to ask for something you probably shouldn't -"

"I wouldn't have to if you didn't throw projectiles as a standard hello," she replied smoothly and then finally stepped out of the way of Bell so that he could give the order senshi a better look. Quite frankly his powers were probably stronger than hers when they needed to be and protecting him for longer than necessary was just rude (at least to her).

"It's been a long week," he didn't go in to detail. "You wouldn't be here if you didn't want something, so what is it?"

Might as well cut to the chase on this one, right?

"Oh, yes so..." she clapped her hands, though this time it was not to cast a spell. "You know how a very long time ago I promised you that I would never hurt anyone in order to conduct Court business?"

"Yes."

"Well Bell and I have hit a little snag because for some reason it's extremely quiet out this evening and the only way that we could effectively gather energy is to drain these poor individuals almost completely," she waved her hand. "So we were wondering if you wouldn't be so kind as to provide us some of yours so that we don't have to make some individuals more tired than you might prefer?"

She glanced at Bell and smiled, apparently this had been her plan all along, she just happened to know that her 'target' had a bad habit of lashing out first and asking questions later.

As for her little mirror wraith, well she would have to spend some time fixing that later, she owed it an apology even if it didn't understand her...

Bell had not meant to have the brick fly back towards the one who threw it and actually hit the Senshi. For a moment he wondered if the Senshi would still be able to hurt them. It appeared that Shaowei knew the other at least.

He couldn't tell if that was a good or bad thing.

She stepped aside so that he could see the one that they were "peacefully" attempting to drain energy from. If the uniform was any indication, it appeared that this Senshi had something to do with beetles. Probably. Of course such an outfit could mean something else so he made no assumptions.

He made sure to point at Shaowei. "It was her idea."

Athalia fixed his gaze on Bellorophon for a little longer than might have been comfortable depending on Bell's own limits. He didn't seem to have an interest in responding immediately, but he also didn't seem to be particularly irritated by the 'dent' he'd been given in his shoulder. He'd been clipped and it had certainly smarted, but it hadn't been enough to start world war three (at least not yet).

"It normally is," he said at last, clasping his hands behind his back as he glanced briefly towards Shaowei and then back towards Bellorophon. Sadly the senshi had made such a bargain with Shaowei and he was a man of his word, but that bargain had come with requirements from her and given she had proven she could at least be trusted for that, she was less of a concern.

...This one however.

"What makes you so certain that he will be prepared to behave in the same manner I expect of you?" he asked at last and shook his head. "Did she confirm with you that in order to make use of my strength you would have to refrain from gathering it from any other source for that evening?" he added.

"Well no..." Shaowei admitted.

"So how exactly did you intend to ensure he behaved?"

"Ah well," she coughed and glanced at Bell with a rather apologetic smile. "Stalk him and make a nuisance of myself," she conceded. "Actually I am sorry Bell I really should have mentioned that was part of how this worked before I even put you in that position.. That was bad of me."

She paused.

"You don't have to agree if you would prefer not to," she added and leaned in to lower her voice. "But if you're going to say no, and that is totally ok, then I would suggest making a run for it while I keep him distracted," she whispered.

Bell shrugged. "If we can just get energy from him, then I don't need to go out and drain anyone else tonight." He said to both Shaowei and Athalia. "I'd rather go home anyway than stay out later."

It did make him wonder if there was anything else in this agreement that he should have known about. He would have to ask Shaowei later. He didn't think that right now was the best time. He took out his mirror shard and let loose his wraith. "I just have the one wraith so I won't take as much." He wasn't sure how much energy Order Senshi had. Was it more than regular civilians?

"Then we are in agreement," Athalia gave a small nod. He didn't necessarily approve of their chosen path but he had yet to encounter any Dark Mirror that gave him a reason to respond with absolute hostility. Such things were reserved exclusively for the Negaverse at this point in time; and should that ever change, then Shaowei would found herself in a more difficult position. For now though, the Order senshi was at least happy to accept and trust that both individuals would keep their word.

...Suffice to say he was particularly entertained by the fact that both seemed to prefer the path of least resistance. Wanting to go home early, not having to hang around in the cold, these were all complaints he'd heard before and he had to acknowledge that more often than not the men and women who had chosen this path were a touch more pragmatic than others.

"Take what you need, but you will need to leave me with enough to function for the evening," he pointed out. He wasn't too concerned with Bell, he seemed genuine in what his wraith was capable of, Athalia just wasn't sure what the difference between Shaowei's wraith and the other's would be.

"Great!" Shaowei gave a little wave of her compact and motioned for her remaining wraith to come forward. "And I wouldn't worry you sent my second wraith into the abyss, I owe it an apology," she murmured. She really should have known better; she didn't know if they were sentient or if they understood her any more deeply than basic orders, but it still wasn't fair to sacrifice them if it could be avoided.

...That and it was a pain in the a** to get them back.

Satisfied that her wraith was safe though, she finally let it sweep through the Order senshi and motioned for Bell to follow. She really would owe him an explanation at a later date, at the very least to provide clarity on why she had chosen this path. She wasn't one for warfare and if she could gain something diplomatically then she would always take that option. Whether that was Bell's preference though wasn't something she knew, but it probably hadn't been nice of her to put him in a position where it might not have complimented his personal style!

He waited until he saw Shaowei motion to him and he figured that it was okay to let his wraith drain the Super. He directed it to start draining the other, a bit slowly just to make sure that the Senshi still had enough energy to get him like he said. "Tell us if you're getting light headed or something." He said to their willing "victim". He really didn't like that they had to drain energy to keep their powers. Perhaps one day they would find another way to keep themselves together.

But tonight wasn't that day and soon enough his wraith was full and slowly made it's way back to him. "Thank you." He said when he was finally able to send the wraith back to the shard. He let out a breath. Finally, it was the first time he had been able to drain someone and hadn't been interrupted while doing so. "That went a lot better than I thought it would." He muttered to himself. He would have to thank Shaowei somehow. Even if it had been a little nerve-wracking at first, he supposed that was the price to pay for such a simple night.

Athalia was understandably quiet as the wraths set about their work, though he did seem to be ok after they had taken their share. Perhaps that was why he had agreed, the fact that the wraiths didn't keep going like the Negaverse could. Rather than kill they simply stopped and that was the end of it. He might not have approved of them in their entirety, but they were the better of the two evils...

"I think..." Shaowei squinted as she examined Athalia quickly before smiling warmly. "That we have had our fill," she gave a small nod of her head and motioned to Bello. She wouldn't push her luck by loitering longer than she needed to, this wasn't exactly a social call and if she knew that senshi well enough then he wasn't going to stand around for much longer and wait.

...He liked to hunt.

"We'll leave you to whatever you were doing," she cleared her throat. "Shall we Bell? I'm dying for something warm to drink and it's a bit of a walk for me to get to my favourite spots. You're welcome to join me, my treat!"
