The sun was hot as it lingered high in the skies over Belrea. Many were used to such heat, something that didn't happen the whole year but was enough to adapt to during the long summers. Workers found ways to keep cool, staying out of the sun or focusing on working deep in the mines. Those who didn't work the hard labor would often shift their schedules to spend time after the sun set, meaning a lot of the theater guilds found their biggest success in the summer.

Astrasol found herself wandering down the streets toward the theater one muggy night, her hair pulled back and a fan waving quickly back and forth to fend off the final heat of the day. Soon enough, it would cool off so the sweat on her neck would also fade away, but that most likely would be the chill of the night once the shows were over. For now, she decided to move quickly toward her destination, a night out with some of the more tolerable girls as they enjoyed the show and scouted for 'potentials'.

As she wandered toward the theater, the crowd began to grow, packing in the thin streets of the capital. This theater was a little smaller, but the troupe was full of rising potential, so many of the younger crowd would rush in to say they saw the stars first. Plus, it was always easier to meet them afterward and try to bring them in to your group, building your reputation even more.

Astrasol dreaded the location, but tolerated it all the same with the potential it had to raise her status further. Not that she'd marry any of these actors, but just to have them in your circle as they grew in fame was worth dealing with the unsavory parts of the process.

This night, with the heat fading with the breeze, the clouds began to gather overhead. It meant there were bouts of darkness as they brushed by the moon, meaning a great chance to linger hidden. Astrasol had no fear of a man trying to take advantage of her, but had she been more aware, she might have noticed the fact she was targeted by the stranger in the crowd.

A small bump was enough for her to snap her fan shut, turning to demand retribution for whomever had the nerve to knock into her. Instead, she watched as a figure darted away, before letting out a low grown. Of course, of course that had to happen. She was no fool, but was foolish enough to let herself become a victim.

Moving away from the crowds, she stopped near a lantern to look down at her side, where a chain was wrapped around her hip. Unfortunately, the chain was there, but no longer, the golden accent missing from her dress and making it seem more frumpy than high end.

"Astrasol!" A shrill voice called out from the crowd, and the hybrid cursed her hair for being so bright, even in a land of Belrea with the pastel hairs of her people.

A young girl pushed through the crowd, her pale green hair brushing long against her dark brown skin. Her watery blue eyes annoyed Astrasol, though she held her tongue considering the girl was of moderate standing. Thank the gods that the girl was dull and obedient, stumbling over herself to please the hybrid, otherwise Astrasol might have to find a way to publicly humiliate her into social oblivion.

"Hello Heiriet." The girl replied with a cool tone, her eyes half lidded as she looked down at the girl's outfit before looking back up into her eyes. Another pleasing development with the girl was her family fashion business, which meant she was pleasant to look at and provided Astrasol with discounts or even free dresses to test out. It was always nice to be ahead of the trends.

"I was worried I'd lose you in the crowd. I didn't think it'd be this busy...but the troop has been growing in popularity these days..." The Geian babbled about, before Astrasol raised a hand for her to stop speaking, and immediately Heiriet did just that. She was trained well.

"Did you purchase the tickets?"

The girl quickly nodded, before adding that their other 'friend' was waiting in line for them to get in quickly. Nodding at her minions for doing a job well done, Astrasol smiled before brushing her hair back. There was no time to worry about a trinket, she could purchase another one later. For now, her focus was on improving her status and making it to where she needed to be next.
