[ Sorin 1 ]
Sorin was taking a break from the trip and was tasked with restocking the caravan's items. It wasn't surprising, they always asked him. His mother said it was because he was strong and supportive, his siblings teased that his muscles made were all he was good for. Sorin just liked helping others and was quick to agree and get to work. Either way, he walked toward the market with his head down and studying the list provided by the caravan leader.
[ 21-50: While not majorly valuable, you do have an important item taken from you. ]

[ Ondine 1 ]
Ondine was lounging in the sunlight, her dark skin standing out with it's unique coloring compared to most shifters in the area. Either that, or possibly the bruise that dotted her cheek. It was normal for the girl to ache from her 'training', but many strangers were not comfortable at the sight of the muscular girl, instead moving to the side and avoiding her all together. It was the smart thing to do, after all.

As he walked through the crowd, he felt a shove. Turning to try and make sure they were ok, he realized no one was there, at least no one was there who seemed to have stumbled into him. Looking around a little longer, he realized a few others in the crowd began to get agitated, and someone loudly complained they had been pick pocketed.
Blinking in comprehension, the young man looked down to see if something was stolen from him, and realized that a small bag of already purchased items was no longer on his hip.

As she moved away from her lounge in the shadows, Ondine walked toward the crowd and the vendors, specifically to barter for something to drink. It was too early for the pubs to be open, so she'd have to settle for something more mild. As she walked, she bumped into someone as they raced by, noticing immediately what happened and spinning on her heels to look at the thief race away.
"Oi!" She hollered out, ignoring those behind her who were starting to complain, "Get back 'ere!"

"Can you believe someone stole our stuff?"
"You'd think this place were safer..."
"Hey, hey you!" A voice was close, and someone shook Sorin's arm and pointed to where a girl was standing farther away, "Don't just stand around, go get that thief!"
Once again he was pushed toward a task, and without questioning anything Sorin moved closer toward Ondine, eyes curious as he looked to where she was looking.

Grunting, she had a feeling she'd get into a brawl, and Ondine looked around for a moment. Catching sight of Sorin, she raised a brow at him in greeting before moving a few steps to grab a small pail. This would do nicely.
Turning, she glanced at where the thief was inching away with their loot, took a moment to judge the distance, than threw the bucket. It soared the short distance away before slamming into the thief just as they started to race toward the alleyway.
"Gosh, you're dumb."

He cringed as the thief was hit with the makeshift weapon, immediately deciding not to cross the older woman as he moved around her and toward the pick pocket. Shaking his head, he bent down and lifted him up, gripping him tightly and sighing.
"Come on now, up you go." He replied with a bit of a cheer, smiling brightly as he looked back toward the crowd, "Okay, let's get everyone back their stuff before something worse happens."

Walking over with her arms crossed, Ondine watched as the younger boy picked up the thief, cracking her neck and rolling her shoulders. The soreness was starting to set in, and she thought it was a slight shame she couldn't work it out with a little brawl.
"Aye, giver back 'fore the mob gets ya." She said with a bright grin, her teeth shining against her skin as she moved forward and pulled the bag away from the forlorn thief.
Shifting through it, she pulled out her own item before tossing the rest on the ground for the townsfolk to shift through.
"Better grab yers before it gets nabbed. I can watch em for ya." She said to Sorin.

Sorin quickly passed the thief to the girl. After seeing her up close, with her muscles and her bruises, he had no doubt that she could handle the forlorn man. Bending over, he found the little pack of supplies and pocketed it before moving away as the crowd approached.
A few guards also approached and gestured for the two to hand the thief over, and Sorin looked to see if Ondine was willing to comply.

Pleased that the bulky leaf boy was a good listener and didn't need her to set him straight, Ondine pulled the thief to her with a nice solid shoulder squeeze.
"Better think again the next time ye decide to steal from so many people. Easy to get caught when yer so foolish." She said lowly, before pushing him toward the guards to do their dirty work. He wasn't her problem, and now that he was gone and she got her items, there was no problem at all.
Turning, she caught sight of Sorin, and raised a brow yet again.

Waiting patiently for her to pass the guy along, when she turned to Sorin he was pleased he could have a small conversation with her, not quite reading the room and her intent to get to where she wanted to.
"Good job." He said with a smile, bright and friendly, "Not sure anyone would have caught him had you not thought so quickly. I'm sure a lot of people would like to thank you." He nodded toward the crowd behind them.

Gosh he was a bit soft, even with all that muscle. Ondine resisted the urge to pat his head, for he was like a little puppy with how he seemed keen to wait for her to speak to him.
"Nay..." She replied with a shake of her head, "I didn't do it for the glory." Though had they paid her, that might be something nice. She was a bit of a mercenary after all.
"Unless they have coin to pay fer me drinks, 'm not interested in socializin."

"Then allow me to pay for your drink." He replied with a grin, "As a thank you for making my job easier." He hoped she'd say yes, plus he was curious on where those bruises came from.
"Names Sorin, by the way..." Hopefully it wasn't super weird to just offer to buy her drink, though he wasn't as worried since he was smiling so brightly at the prospect of a new friend.

She evaluated him with keen eyes, looking at him seriously as she scratched her cheek in thought. He seemed harmless, and who was she to ignore an offer for her to save some coin? After a long moment, she shrugged, "Why not."
Then, she nodded toward the pub, one of her frequent haunts. We'll see if she could talk someone into opening early and serving the strong stuff.
"Names Ondine. Pleasure ta meet ya. Can't wait to see how well ye hold yer drink." With a wink, she led the way, ready to kick off her day and drink away her aches and pains. At least until nightfall when she'd get some new ones.
