Chalcanthite wandered through the alleys carefully, draining those who slept on cardboard beds or on metal benches. Never enough to harm them, but enough over time to reach his quota. Things had changed during his absence from active duty and there was a lot to look out for especially as the seasons changed. The fact that many he once knew had now disappeared didn’t sit with him very well either.

As he turned a corner, he started to sense another aura. He teleported up to the roof of the building he had once been in the alley of and started to survey the area. He wouldn’t draw a weapon yet but was ready to if needed now that the aura felt closer. Something felt similar in the aura as he scanned the rooftops, it was definitely not an order aura but it was stronger than the Lt. that he was normally aiding nowadays. He almost could swear that he saw a flutter of red hair over on the next building as he paused in his scan.

The other person hadn't run yet so that confirmed that they at least understood the power difference. As he closed in, he wracked his brain for the memories of who he had met that was a redhead. With it being someone not on the order side, there was a bit of a contradiction with who he had thought it might be. The only redheads he had known were of the order Senshi and this wasn't the firey orange hair of the one who had broken his arm before.

He paused after crossing over to the building he had seen them on and pulled out the small battered notebook of his and scanned through his old notes of those he had come across. If it was the other one, the Senshi who had healed him, what had finally brought her over to the side of Negaverse or mirror order. After another moment he coughed slightly and decided to make the first move.

"Hello, you do not need to hide. I apologize if I gave you a start, you can come out now?" He hoped it was her more than anyone else. That would mean more of the people he had once known still lived which was becoming a rare occurrence as the years passed and he had fallen off the grid.

As she moved out into the open he froze, it was her but she was so very different now. The pure white uniform of the past was gone and replaced by one of a much darker palette. “The healer…” he said quietly. It had been so long since they had met during one of the many haunted events that occurred in the city. He didn’t take a step forward yet but instead reached for the raised edge of the roof and sat down. This was a lot to take in for him.

“I.. had wondered if we would meet again. It has been a unyielding nightmare for me as more people I knew have disapeared. It seems that much has changed since we first met, Lacerta. I guess I do not have to hide behind the guise of a magician anymore.” For one usually does collected, the pain in his heart echoed in his voice.

At first he only nodded in response to her words before taking a breath to respond. “Yes, I thought given the situation back then that coming out with my identity would not have been ideal for teamwork. Chalcanthite is what I am called in actuality. Much has changed hasn’t it? I am glad to see you, I had wondered what happened over the years but found it would be hard to approach you in most situations given the lines of war that are drawn and our positions on opposite sides back then.”

He was eager to know more but changing sides was almost never done out of happiness. There was usually something pushing or pulling one across the battle lines against their original allies. There were times that he wondered if that was what occurred to those he once knew but in the end he knew that few of them were gone and not just to the other side but from the mortal coil.

He noticed the sigh and felt a little bad about the past, he hadn't had much luck with senshi so it made sense to him at the time. It didn't bode well to lie when wanting to reconnect or work with someone though. Readjusting slightly on the ledge, he sat up a bit more before responding.

"Ah yes, Chal is fine. That's what most people tend to shorten my name to. I am sorry for misleading you back then, I had not had the best experiences with senshi at the time and was not looking forward to another broken limb if things had gone south. Though if we could work together in the future I would very much enjoy that if that would be alright with you? I understand if it is not alright as well."

It was something he had hoped for, a teammate from his past to help keep him centered and on track. The wandering and hiding he had been doing for a long while were catching up to him and he wanted a change. Beni was on a path he couldn't follow, violence was not something he could fully align himself with without a solid and deep reason. The other who he had followed was long gone and the final image Chal had of him was burned into his memory forever.

He nodded and agreed with the stability statement, people came and went and even though he remained it was a lonely existence when everyone he knew was dead or gone. "I think that would be lovely Lacerta, I really only find qualms with some of the order but I do have a history meeting one of the Princes in the past. He was quite agreeable and I would like to always aid when I am able to. Please do not be afraid to contact me in the future for things." It was at this point he gave her the number for his communicator so she could reach him. "I do need to make my way down towards the edge of town if that's alright for now but I do look forward to hearing from you again in the future."


With that he smiled and made his way out, bowing politely toward her.
