Suria 1Somehow, she found herself back down the familiar path that was her home. Suria was wandering between Oba and Matori, unable to stray too far away compared to her elder siblings. Maybe it was a sense of homesickness, or an anxiety of being off on her own. Every time she got far enough, she always clung to the familiar or the constants, after all.
Maybe it was fear that she'd find herself in the same dark alley way and in the same dark mess that got her hear.
Even after years of searching, the young hybrid struggled to find the woman who rescued her. As she traveled and grew, the desire to go down that path began to fade.
Why bother putting herself in danger? What was the point if she couldn't find the woman who inspired her.
Frustrated, exhausted, and annoyed, Suria found herself approaching a camp on the pathway, big pack animals seeming to carry bulky fabrics. It was getting late, so maybe the caravan wouldn't mind an extra body. It would allow her a night of company for the first time in days.

Nedelle 1
Nedelle was calming the quhar they had brought in the caravan on the trip. Some small animal had scurried through and spooked them good. but it was alright, they were coming to already with some feed.
The troupe had just left Matori, after so long of talking about a world tour, it was finally underway. They would be moving through all of continental Tendaji and showing the world what they had to offer! It was very exciting stuff.
She put her hand on the quhar again, her brightly colored outfit contrasting against the dull colors of the pack animals. The only thing they had in common with Nedelle were their brightly colored crystals dotting their bodies.
The rest of the troupe were setting up the tents and wagons for the night, pulling their weight in other areas, and as Nedelle turned her head, she thought she saw something coming their way. The heat bounced off of the road and swirled the figure in her eyes. Was it a... girl? She couldn't be sure but she grinned and waved regardless. Always a friendly face is good, right?

Suria 2As she moved closer, she caught sight of more figures moving about the camp. Never had she seen such items being transported around and about. Was that fabric? Why would they need so much and in so many stacks? Well, it was not her place nor would she worry, after all she was raised to not ask questions. Especially around the dancers who wandered in like dusty winds.
The figure that was close to the animals suddenly waved, and was it at her. Tentatively, she waved back, before approaching and passing by all the different characters that made up the camp.
"Hello!" She finally called out, smiling at the hybrid before her.

[Nedelle 2]
"Hello!" She beamed at the girl in front of her. She had an interesting look. She was fire, that was for sure, but she had piercing blue eyes. Wind? Anyways, she knew a hybrid when she saw one. "Sun's getting pretty low, are you traveling by yourself?" She asked the young woman. She looked to be about Nedelle's age, or even a bit older, though it was hard to tell.
Nedelle flashed her eyes behind the girl, skirting around and trying to see if there was anyone else with her at all. It wasn't exactly safe to travel alone, though Nedelle didn't really know anything about that, having been with such a large group all her life.

[ Suria 3 ]
Suria in turn took a chance to look over the hybrid, and was surprised at the mix of traits. No dancer or musician in either of the dances halls she was familiar with had such looks. Her aunt did explain that most Yaeli were still so hesitant to explore the world let alone find love in other Earthlings.
"Oh, yes. Though I'm used to it..." she replied easily, "I normally go back and forth between Oba and Matori. I could walk this path with my eyes closed."
Flicking her long ponytail as Nedelle seemed to dance about her, she tilted her head to the side before realizing that maybe she was concerned.
"I also know enough to defend myself." She added with a flash of her dagger hilt. Not threatening, just a nod to her being well equip to defend.

Nedelle gave a quick nod of her head and a beam of her smile. "Perfect! I love a girl who knows how to protect herself." She tilted her head to the side and popped a hand on her hip. "Where are you settling for the night? Do you need a place to stay? You're not planning on keeping going through the night are you?" Nedelle managed to pepper the girl with questions.
She knew a better idea when it crossed her path. "You should stay with us for the night! You could be a guest of Cirque Sirene. She offered to the young hybrid woman in front of her. It would be a great idea. They could get to know each other, swap stories, and most of all - stay safe. Nedelle didn't care how often you traveled, dangers were still dangers. Better to avoid something that could be avoided, yeah?

[ Suria 4 ]
Smiling at the complement, Suria appreciated how easy going the hybrid seemed to be. She always loved meeting other hybrids, being such an interesting one herself, and immediately felt drawn to Nedelle. Still, her smile turned into a playful smirk and a raised brow at how eager the girl peppered off her follow-up questions.
Before she could answer, her words died in her throat as she blinked in confusion, "Did you say Cirque? Like Circus?" It was a curious question, no judgement and in a child-like move Suria leaned a bit to look around Nedelle to glance at the crew further ahead. She hadn't really encountered circus folk, but remembered as a youngling the excitement of visiting one back home. Glancing back toward the hybrid, she cooly added, "I admit I was hoping I could rest here with your camp. Power in numbers and there's no use traveling after dark."

[Nedelle 4]
Nedelle exaggerated a shocked face, her eyes opening wide her and her hand coming to her mouth. "You mean to tell me you've never heard of Cirque Sirene?" She lowered her hand to her heart as if the girl had wounded her personally. "We're the largest circus in Matori."
She paused a moment, contemplation spreading across her face before she grinned at the girl again. "You must not make it out to Matori very often, huh? That's alright, you'll fit right in and we can hunker down for the night." She looped her arm through the hybrid's and started to pace her toward the rest of the caravan. "There's always room for more here. We're finally taking our show on the road and we're going to be the largest traveling circus on the mainland."

[ Suria 5 ]
Blinking a few times in confusion, Suria finally responded with a sheepish shrug.
"To be honest...while I travel, I am still quite restricted to the same beaten paths. I've not quite experienced the world I'd like to see..."
She always traveled to and from her aunts house, no less, no more. It meant she saw enough, but clearly didn't experience. Not to mention she was much more restricted than her elder siblings who were somewhere in Belrea.
As she found her arm looped, Suria easily followed along with a bright smile, "what a fantastic accomplishment, congratulations!"

[Nedelle 5]
Nedelle waved off her congratulations like they no longer mattered, her ears honing in on something the girl had said. "'Restricted'? She screwed her face into a frown, something Nedelle didn't bother donning frequently. "What do you mean restricted? Does someone not let you out? Are your parents strict? Because boy, I can tell you I'll take you away from there right now if someone isn't offering choices to do what you would like in life." She let her voice get really low and leaned into Suria. "You could 'disappear' and never be found again if that's what you want. I can make it happen." She looked to Suria seriously for a heartbeat before leaning back again and cracking a wide smile. "Think about it." She winked.
She led the girl further into the circus, only stopping when she had reached the mess area, where everyone set up to eat their meals while they were on the road. There were a few stragglers peppered here and there, most of the party was still prepping to settle down for the night, staking makeshift tents and gathering any last minute items from the surroundings.
