Muroki lay down, running the past half an hour or so over in his mind. Many days passed in a slow manner, involving sleeping and praying and talking and maybe even hunting. And other times the drama played thick and fast.
Turning his maned head towards the cub he'd almost accidentaly trod on, he offered a small smile. Life was funny that way, no? But he supposed the gods must will it so. Like him and his golden girl...(he secretly hoped they were destined).
"So. Who are you, little one?" He added, hoping to dispel any more worries the cub might. "And my promise holds, no one has tried to eat you."

Kigao was still suspect off the friendly male what was he thinking? well he seemed nice but he still didn't know if he could trust him..
" U..um i am Kigao.. "
He said quietly and peeked out from under the bush, he still had his ears perking backwards and his tail between his legs. He tought telling him his name couldn't hurt right? he looked at the golden male he reminded him off his father a little but he looked younger..
" A..and who are you then? "

Blinking, Muroki had to decide. Should he give away his real name? Lying and giving his father's name, Mawali, had been a habit for so long. Muroki had been born with a silver tongue and the truth after his mother's death had never come easily...
But then this was a cub. Surely there was no harm in telling Kigao his real name. He was an adult now, not a young one hiding in the grass - kind of like this male.
"I'm called...Muroki. Pleased to meet you."

Kigao looked at him all the time while the male seemed to be thinking maybe he was lost too or lost someone important but grown maes use to be alone very often so it wasn't so weird seeing a lone male.
" Oh ok....nice to meet you too "
He still seemed unsure but this male still seemed nice. He perked his ears in the right direction and crawled out off the bush and sat down in front of it instead..
" You remind me off somone.. "

"Oh, really? Who." Golden eyes studied the younger cat, noting the light markings he'd not previously noticed. One day this cub would have the ladies after him, with such a pretty coat. Seemed to Muroki most males weren't alone these days...the population was rather nicely balanced when it came to the sexes.
"You remind me a little of a cousin of mine." A half lie. Muroki barely remembered who this cub was vaguely like, perhaps Tumai? No cousin of his but born at the same time as his adopted cousins to a family friend.

He sad the last more quietly then all the other words and he looked sad and abandond somehow. He liked his father even if he didn't got to know him for such a long time..
" Oh i think i had cousins but no siblings i was the only baby from mom's litter "
He actually felt proud over being the only baby because then he always got all the food and you still could see he was a fat pup over all the milk..

"Is he around? Or your mother?" Muroki tried not to sound concerned. So many cubs didn't have parents and he knew thsi wasn't a safe area. Too close to the graveyard and Bulknt sulked around here, looking for meat, dead or small enough for the vulture to wound or kill.

Kigao remaind silent for a while...thinking off his family and pack just made him sad and angry why did everything had to change? everything was just good with his mother and father and all the food in the world..
" My mother left me...she said she had too or else i get killed "'
But he still seemed confuzed over why..he looked up at the big male with his green eyes..
" Brothers and sisters would be nice but i was fine..everything was so good "

Muroki nodded, causing brown hair to flop over into his eyes. His mother died and he'd nuzzled up to her body, unknowing of death. And yet he thought being left by your mother might be worse, somehow.
"...I see...so you're alone out here, Kigao?" He sighed, a little frown mixing with his smile. What to do.

Kigao continued to look up at the big male, his eyes still looked sad and confused he didn't know what to do at all...and he knew he was to small to take care off himself..
" Yes i am alone...i don't think my mom comes back...and i am to small to take care off myself "
Kigao was actually smart for his age he knew why his mother had left him but he just didn't wanted it to be like that. What should he do now? he laied down flat on the ground some off his purple bangs fell down in his eyes he blow it away with a sigh..

"...Maybe you could stay with me and my mate until you're abit older, then you could take care of youself."
He offered it casually, with that same friendly smile, remembering how scared he'd been to take up various proposals of adoption when he'd been young. Muroki had rejected them all as mothers, but he had loved them all as 'aunts'.
"I don't think my Hisani would mind and it's not really safe out here for you."

Kigao blinked a few times he tried to figure out if there was anything weird about this? could he meen something else? Well Muroki still looked nice and maybe he wasn't that bad.
" I don't wanna be off to much trubble...don't you and your female have your own babies? "
He tought it was a little weird if they didn't...didn't all couples have babies this time off the year? his mom had told him that..

"My mother died now far from here when I was about your age...I know how bad it can be, and you seem like an alright cub. So why not look out for you, if you'd like?"
The larger male tilted his head, nose wrinkled. Cubs of their own. Did he really look that old? Heck, he was that old now, wasn't he? Oh. Well, they'd only been together a short while.

Sadly younger male who took over other prides wasn't so happy with the old leaders babies so it usually happend that they where killed...Kigao walked closer to the big male and sat down in fron off him
" No babies? maybe it is because you are here and she is somewhere else? "
He smiled a little he tought that was funny why was the male here and not with his female? heh..

His tail twitched back and forth, the mild puzzlement over their cubless state melting into mirth. They were young who needed to have babies yet? And besides, this one was adorable. Muroki chuckled at that last comment.
"You know, that just might be why. She's not too far but I love to wander."
