51-90: A small item is taken and you immediately identify the thief in the crowd.

Tonight was the night. The longer they spent in Matori the more time Sol had to prepare and yet, with all of the work he'd put into it, the fact that tonight was the night had his anxiety at it's peak. With the help of Koril's family Sol had found the perfect little venue just outside of the village to purpose, but first he'd wanted to go out for a nice dinner. Something local without the family around so they could focus on each other. As much as Sol was starting to love them they could be a little much at times, the younger one's and Koril's mother specifically.

It was a little busier that evening than he'd prepared for, but the weather was cooling off. Compared to the sweltering heat that had chased them from Oba this was almost perfect, and it was clear that the locals felt the same. Still, Sol didn't dare take his hair down from the ponytail he'd kept up for months now and the hybrid still sported his warm weather clothing.

The evening was going so well that his nerves had almost calmed down. Dinner was charming, the weather blissful and then the pickpocket...Sol had been doing his best to verbally guide Koril to the outskirts of the village when a short figure brushed past them.

"Sorry!" All he'd been able to hear was a youthful lisp, to which he'd scowled at, but then...he just felt off. Sol patted his hip to where the ring should have resided in it's little pouch but...it didn't!

"That little muskrat!" In a panic, Sol reached out with his magic and tried his best to trail the figure's aura but it was quickly fading. Without waiting to see how Koril would react, he simply grabbed the other man's hand and ran. "I can track, just don't let me run into anything!"

**1-20: Oh no! Something VERY VALUABLE was stolen!

Koril was in quite the blissful mood. Being back at his childhood home was so much fun, but being constantly surrounded by the family for so long got a little stifling. After all, he had gotten used to their own family of two, plus the animals. Maybe they would find an inn for their next visit... The quiet dinner out had been refreshing and sweet though, and the busy nature of the house fell behind.

He only smiled at the sweet little voice that brushed by them, barely glancing at the second youngling that bumped into his other side. How cute! They must have been caught up in their own- fun?

He yelped when he was suddenly yanked along, mind taking a moment to catch up. "Sol! What happened?" he squeaked out, giving Sol a quick nudge to guide him around a few gawkers.

Running in a crowded place while blind was utterly terrifying. Sol did his best to focus his magic while he moved while also simultaneously following Koril's ques, but there were a few times when he bumped into something; sometimes someone. At one point he took a curve far too early and slammed his hip into the edge of a wooden stall. With a hiss, he pressed his free hand against his pelvis and cursed.

"Pickpockets!" He tugged on Koril once more and took off after the fading whispers. The aura blended in with another before disappearing to the right. "Two auras, small, I think they turned right around a building?" He couldn't be sure but generally big voids in his detection skills were either stone cliffs or buildings.

Wincing at the very visible and audible impact at Sol's hip, Koril winced and picked up his speed to better watch where his boyfriend was leading.

Pickpockets? His brow knit sharply with concern and disappointment. Two small auras... those children that he had been admiring just a moment ago? To resort to stealing at such a young age sounded awful! He looked ahead to the approaching spaces between buildings, spotting a bit of dust still floating from the disturbance of someone passing through. "That must be it," he said, taking up the lead to guide Sol around the corner.

The boys had actually paused to inspect their loot, and looked up in surprise as the adults rounded on them. With a unified yelp, they fled deeper into the alley.

Running was a little painful now, but Sol had full confidence in his ability to ice his aches after the fact. Right now he was just desperate to catch up with those kids! When Koril took up the lead he simply nodded and followed along as best he could without overtaking the other man. It was hard, considering that his legs were longer, but they'd worked in tandem for this long that Sol just fell in step.

They'd come so close that Sol could almost make out how tall the auras were before he heard a yelp and they started to run again! In a panic he reached out with his magic and pulled up, creating a small blockade of packed earth. Of course he couldn't see that the alleyway was a dead end, but...well...it ended a little sooner now.

He could hear that one of the boys had run into it, though.

"W-wh-what do you want?! We ain't got nothin'!"

The second boy had only been a half step behind his buddy, but managed to slow himself just enough to soften his impact with the blockade. Still, he jumped and tried to find any handhold that he could to scramble over the wall. It was too smooth and too high! "Let us go, o-or we'll scream!"

Koril skid to a halt when the wall came up, reluctantly standing to make sure there would be no slipping around them again. "You will do no such thing. One of you took something from Sol here," he said, crossing his arms sternly. It had been a while since he'd been the big brother, but he thought he could manage it well enough. "We just want it back."

"I said we didn't take nothin'!" One of the boys raised his voice and Sol worried that he would make good on his friend's threat of screaming. Even if they were in the wrong Sol didn't want to see the boys being taken away by guardsman. Or worse, having a crowd of people turn on him for harassing two kids.

So, once he'd caught his breath, Sol reached out his side to pull out a second pouch. The audible clink spoke of just how much coin was in it and if that wasn't enough he pulled open the drawstring top to show them. "Let's make a trade then; your bag for mine?" It may not have been all of his coin, but the loss would hurt. Still, Sol could make it back eventually but what they had was so much more important.

He could hear the child gasp and then quickly stifled it. "Hmm, I dunno, what do you think?" Sol could only assume he was asking the other boy.

Koril's jaw tightened, mind going the same direction as Sol's. There was no need for a scene! If Sol said something had been taken, then something had surely been taken. He was about to raise his own voice when he noticed Sol pull out the pouch, stunned back into silence. Sol was willing to trade, just like that? What was missing?

The second boy's eyes went from panic to enchanted the moment the coin was pulled out to be seen. "A.. trade?" It was unexpected, but he looked to his companion with barely repressed glee. "I mean, he said we didn't take nothing, but.. maybe we found something we can trade for?" He looked between the two adults curiously, eyes lighting up even further when he looked back to his buddy. "Did you find anything worth trading that the tall guy might like?"

"Well, I might have something here." The boy could barely contain himself! He dug around his larger satchel, shifting through things he clearly didn't have the money for and pulled out Sol's pouch. "Yeah, I can trade this bag for yours."

For a moment Sol worried that it was a random bag, but honestly, it had enough of his magical aura left on it after hours of fiddling that it was a set deal. Sol nodded his head and breathed a sigh of relief when the boy hastily made the exchange. He'd been more than a little wary, just in case the kids tried to pull another fast one, but it seemed like they knew they'd been bested.

"Can we go? Now that we've made a fair trade?"

Sol leveled a glare at what he hoped was their direction before sighing and stepping back to open the alley up. "Yeah, sure, go on."

"Come on, let's go!" The boy could barely contain his smile as he reached out for his companions hand and tugged him away from the two men.

Koril clenched his hands. It most certainly was not a fair trade! ...but they were just kids. "You better put that money to good use. Get some nice clothes and find yourselves some work. Then you won't have to "find" things in order to get by and eventually "find" something from someone less forgiving than us."

The other boy nodded enthusiastically, practically shaking out of his worn down shoes with excitement as the pair ran away from the adults. "Yeah, we know what to do with it! Gonna do lots with it!"

Koril sighed and reached out to touch Sol's arm. "I'm sorry I wasn't more helpful. Been too long since I've really talked to kids outside of my own siblings, and even then... As long as you're sure you got back what was taken, it'll be fine. I've got plenty to-" Koril's face paled as he patted down his side, not finding the little purse he was searching for. Those little muskrats! Did they really-?! His voice cracked a little, embarrassment clogging his throat. "I've got.. plenty.. back home.. if you wanted to buy anything else today," he concluded with a nervous laugh.

Sol doubted that the kids would take Koril's advice to heart. It was a nice thought, but honestly if they were even partially like he was at that age then practical things were the last thing on their minds.

The taller hybrid shook his head with a little sigh and reached up to pat Koril's hand. "Don't worry about it. Without you I wouldn't have been able to get this back-" He held up the little pouch with a fond smile, "-and that means more to me than gold."

With a shaky breath, Sol took a half step back and started to dig around inside the pouch. "This isn't where I planned on doing this but...Well, I didn't ask you to come out here so we could just have dinner..." With his hand still holding onto Koril's, Sol bent down to one knee and produced a ring from the pouch. At first it looked plain compared to so many other engagement rings, but on the inside of the band a set of coordinates were engraved.

"I did some research into the area we met and had the location carved on the inside." His voice was a little shaky, and he tried his best not to let his nerves take over.

"Koril, I want to explore the world with you, to grow old by your side, to raise a family with you...I just can't imagine a life without you in it." It was why he'd panicked so much when the pickpockets had taken off with the ring. It was such a personal item and although he could probably have it replicated the vulnerability it had taken to even get to this point made this ring special. "Will you marry me?"

More important than the gold? If the contents of that little pouch was enough to overshadow the loss of his own money pouch, especially now that the kids had shown to get away with a double score of cash... The rather hefty amount of money he had just lost from his own pocket was infuriating, but it was mere monetary value. Koril cocked his head slightly, peering with the utmost interest at the pouch Sol was holding so protectively. Whatever was in there was clearly of sentimental value.

He instinctively braced himself as Sol knelt down, at first concerned that the impact with the stall during the pursuit had caused more damage than first thought. ...and then his knees turned into jelly. He could feel the warmth climbing from his toes, face flushing with heat. Was this really happening, here in a dusty alley after having a bunch of money stolen?

It was the best day ever!

He gripped Sol's hand tighter and took in a slow breath. "I want the same thing... I want it so much.." He couldn't help dropping down to wrap his arms around his man, clutching tightly to keep from melting the rest of the way into a puddle. "Of course I will. Of course!"

Psst, you still have one more post to make. x3

Sol felt like his blood was going to vibrate out of his system! He tried listening to any sort of subtleties about the way Koril was reacting to all of this, but honestly? His anxiety was causing his ears to fill up with cotton. What if he said no? Koril may have loved him, he had no doubt about that, but marriage was a big commitment and there were so many things he wanted to do that maybe....

"You do?" At first he was confused, almost as if he hadn't heard him right, but then Koril was hugging him and Sol was laughing. "You do?!" He wrapped his arms around his boyfriend - no, his future husband - and felt like he could fly! "Thank you! Thank you so much!"

Koril needed a long moment before he dared to part with the hug; though it was only just enough to bring back his hand and slip the ring onto his finger. Once he'd taken a moment to admire it, he laughed and tackled Sol with delight to straddle over him. "Thank you," he echoed, pinning his fiancé to the ground with passionate kisses.
