Down the row of games you hear a soft splashing and some soft quacking. Surely no one's got real ducks down the game aisle?
Nope. Just a couple of speakers sitting next to a bucket holding a bunch of bright yellow toy duckies!
Welcome to the Duck Pond!
The front of the booth sports a 'lazy river' with yellow rubber ducks floating along. They disappear into a tunnel and come 'round the other side only to start their parade again.
Everyone gets to pick up one duck and from the looks of things there is something written on the bottom of each one! No one leaves the Duck Pond without a prize! Everyone's a Winner! Match the number on the bottom of your duck up to the prize list and enjoy! Rules:★ Roll 1 d10. Every time you get a 1 or a 10 you've picked up a BIG PRIZE duck!
#1 BIG PRIZE - You get a giant, stuffed duck!
#2 - Friendship bracelets! They come in a matching set of two, woven out of multi-colored thread.
#3 - Your very own rubber ducky! There's an assortment here in varying colors, some that even glow in the dark!
#4 - Ring Pop! Neatly wrapped, perfectly sealed and totally yours. Enjoy!
#5 - Candy Necklace. Neatly wrapped, perfectly sealed and... Well, I guess it doesn't really match the ring, but it's tasty!
#6 - A #2 pencil. Jumbo Sized. The novelty will never wear off...
#7 - Plastic spider rings. Who put those there? Ok, maybe there's some regular plastic rings in there too? Who knows...
#8 - LED light-up bracelet. Make sure you can find yourself in the dark!
#9 - Shoelaces. The wacky spiral ones that you don't need to tie! Assorted colors.
#10 - BIG PRIZE - You get a giant, stuffed duck!

"So which one of us is going first?"
"Can't we go at the same time?"
"MeiMei, that would be a disaster. One of us picks up a duck at a time, that's just how this works."
Three teens, all similar looking in that familial way, stood huddled together by a corner of the Duck Pond stand chatting. Occasionally one, or all three, would look at the pond but none made a move just yet.
"Okay, if you're so smart Mellie, who goes first?" The shortest one asked, hand moving to rest on her hip in a move of total attitude. The tallest didn't seem bothered at all by this.
"Hm..." A moment to think, a finger moving to rest against her chin as she tilted her head.
"Well, we could always do shortest goes first~" A sweet reply from the middle teen, a soft smile on her face. Which hid well the reason she'd made the suggestion.
"W-what? Wait? Why the shortest?!" A pout from Dongmei.
"Are you saying you don't want to go first?" A perfect eyebrow raised.
"I-I didn't say that." A small pout. "Just why did you have to put it like that? You could have just said I should go first."
A laugh and a hand moved to rest against Dongmei's head. "I meant it in the sense we can just go by height. You first, me second, Mel third."
"I know." She was still pouting. "But I accept the hidden apology. You're just lucky I love you." A small sniff before she moved towards the ducks. Time to see what she won.

"You're just being nice, Rinny." Though she wasn't upset at the outcome and it was carefully shoved into a pocket of her hoodie.
"Oh you sound so upset," Meirin replied with a chuckle taking her turn to pick a duck. She didn't know what she wanted but she hoped it was something good.

"Twinsies!" Meirin cheered as she moved back to her cousins.
"Nice!" Golden brown eyes glanced to the tallest of them. "Think you'll end up with a necklace too?"
"No offense, but I hope not." A gentle laugh, Melody tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "I want something that will last."
"Well, we can always hit up the ducks again later." A slow grin. "Maybe we'll even run into Zachar--"
"Gong to go pick my duck!" A hasty response as the blonde hurried from her giggling cousins to the duck pond. She didn't have to take this abuse from them.

Lucien had almost refused to come to the fair, not really liking the whole concept in general. But Arin had given him enough puppy-dog eyes that he'd agreed so long as Arin didn't make him have to deal with any huge crowds. He didn't really think Arin would have tried to do that but he still had memories of the last time he'd gone with Cordelia and her friends and how terrible that had been. So far it was a much better experience. They'd gotten some sweets to snack on, eyed some of the rides, and agreed to go play a few games in the fairway once Luc had seen the stuffed prizes. He still wouldn't admit that he liked stuffed things but some of the toys looked like they'd make good pillows so he couldn't resist. The duck pond had seemed like the easiest so he'd wandered that way first, hoping he could snag himself one of the stuffed duckies. His first duck wasn't that lucky though and he was left with a tarantula ring. "And you said i'd be lucky..." He looked over at Arin, brow slightly raised.

Have decided for the safety of those around her that she wouldn't linger with darts, Mehri moved on to the next booth (under what looked like a relieved glance from the attendant). Honestly if it was that bad the man simply needed to learn to dodge but that was neither here nor there, and now she was in front of what looked to be.....ducks. This one seemed to involve nothing pointy or nothing being thrown, which worked out well for the worker and for Mehri as well. It was hard to mess up in a game where all you did was flip things over and win a prize. It also looked like she could do it as many times as she wanted according the sign, so long as the same prize wasn't won twice (apart from two ducks or so). Hoping that she read it correctly, and deciding she'd visit again after getting food and completing the circuit, Mehri flipped over one of the ducks. It looked as though she won a duck - a rubber one - and when offered to pick she grabbed one of the cute "animal" style ones that looked suspiciously like a sheep. Not...not that Mehri had preferences, or anything. Tucking her prize into her bag, she opted to move on and out - food awaits!

"Okay, but at least you got..." He leaned in close enough to Luc to peer at his duck, eying the number for a moment before looking up at the prize chart, "a ring? That might fit your pinkie? Unless it's one of those silicone ones and then it should have a little more flex to it." He flashed the other man a grin before reaching to pull a duck of his own. "Oh! Hey! Shoelaces. Pick a color for me... And then grab another duck?" He nudged Luc's elbow gently before handing another set of tickets over to the person manning the booth so they could each draw another duck. He was mindful of the people around them in doing so, careful not to take up too much space while also doing his best not to crowd Luc. While they'd certainly gotten a little more comfortable since summer vacation he still wasn't always entirely sure where the other man stood on public affection otherwise.

"Somehow I doubt it's anything more fun than one of those plastic halloween treat bag rings." Luc shook his head as he put the first duck back in the water. Arin had better luck and after figuring out what the prize was he looked over at the prizes hanging behind the booth. "The light blue ones? They'll go with the converse you have." He took Arin's duck and dropped it back into the pond before leaning over to pick up another one for himself. He had hoped the one with the bright orange bill would be lucky and it was ... but not in the way he wanted. "Candy, bets that it's actually edible and not colored chalk?"

He'd went with the shoelaces that Luc suggested and was mostly paying attention to what the other man said and was continuing to say as he picked another duck for himself. He stopped paying attention as he turned the duck up so he could check the number on the bottom, broad grin lighting up his face entirely. "We can find out what the candy necklace tastes like later? Or you can just put it around my wrist now, but first -- tell the nice person what color duck you'd like?"

"What color ... oh!" He looked over at the duck Arin had in his hand and couldn't help but grinning himself. Arin had said he'd wanted a duck too but of course he'd pull one and give it to Luc first. He caught Arin's arm to put the bracelet on his wrist like the other man suggested before looking back at the slightly bored guy running the booth. "A white duck I think. Won't notice as much if Sumi's fur gets all over it." He nodded and picked up another duck out of the river himself, turning it over to check out the number. "And whatever color friendship bracelets Arin wants."

"You know the whole point of friendship bracelets is for one person to wear one of them and someone else to wear the other one, right?" His brow quirked as he glanced over at Luc, smile bright as he watched the other man while blindly reaching to grab another duck. His fingers fumbled before he finally plucked a duck from the water, taking a moment to look over the bracelet options before picking the ones that were an assortment of blues with a hint of pink and purple woven through. When he tipped his own duck to check the number he was grinning all over again. "Want to pick a rubber ducky to leave at my bath tub?"

"Yes, that is kinda implied by the name." He didn't really think that Arin would ask him to wear it but he could put it somewhere that he wouldn't lose it. His violin cases were boring so he could always wrap the bracelet around the handle on one of those. He was distracted from that thought by Arin's next duck and the question. "Um ...Maybe just a regular yellow one? Classic rubber ducks are always cute." Speaking of classic ducks he plucked a traditional looking one up from the pond and flipped it over. Grinning he held the upside down duck out where Arin would be able to see it. "I think you wanted a stuffed duck to go with mine?"

Perrie read the rules of this last game and grinned. Everyone won a prize! Stuffing the last of the cotton candy in his face, he reached out and picked up a rubber ducky.
There was something written on the bottom -- a number 2? He showed it to the person running the booth, who promptly relieved him of the duck and handed him a pair of colorful friendship bracelets. Neat! He'd have to think about who to give one of them too.
Should he go for another duck? Yes, yes he should.

Eyeing the floating rubber duckies , Perrie decided to pick blindly. He put one hand over his eyes and reached out, grabbing the first duck his fingers touched.
He looked at the number on the bottom. "Ten?"
The person running the game began shouting and cheering him, then produced for him a large plush ducky!! Finally he'd won a prize!
"Thank you!" he chirped happily, taking his prize and wandering off to explore the rest of the fair's sights, sounds and smells.

Next in the Grand Tour of Fair Games, Giulia decided to swing by the Duck Pond.
"Everyone is a winner?" she squinted at the sign. "Well then. I wonder who will be the BIGGER winner!"

"Like... a real penc- yeah..." when was the last time she had needed to use a REAL pencil???
