She is soft-spoken and doesn't speak unless spoken to, typically. She is very thoughtful and often busy writing something down or otherwise deep in thought. She has a question at any given moment. She is pretty independent but can be very loyal to anyone she lets in. She has an obsessive personality and fixates on different things that she'll investigate until she's dedicated four all-nighters to it and she's fallen ill. She is very curious but not super adventurous if she suspects it'll involve failure, because she internalizes all of her shortcomings due to her childhood.

BIOGRAPHY: Ramona idolized her father from a young age, though she saw him infrequently because of his work decoding witch rituals and ancient artifacts for the DWMA's archives. His busy work schedule left their family well-off, and Ramona's mother used their wealth to host fancy dinner parties to show off. Of course, Ramona's mother felt Ramona was a reflection of her, so she raised Ramona to never speak unless spoken to and to always be aware of how she presented herself. She also discouraged Ramona's curiosity in her father's work and in most things so that Ramona could focus on piano lessons and painting lessons to continue to be a presentable daughter.
Ramona quietly followed her dad's studies the best she could via journals and letters he left behind, often reading them at night in the secrecy of candle light. She wasn't allowed to play with other kids in the neighborhood because she might do something unsavory or make a mess or do something else to embarrass her mother, so she amused herself with books and her own lessons. Obviously, this led her to have a very strained relationship with her mother and led her to cling and idolize her father even more. She begged him through letters to allow her to attend the DWMA. He convinced her mother to allow Ramona to attend, but only as a tutor for the 'normal' arts like painting and piano. However, Ramona managed to attend M/W track classes so much that she knew the curriculum better than many Meisters and Weapons did.
She spent many nights at the DWMA. Sometimes she was reading up on matters pertaining to the soul, but other times she was simply star gazing. One of these nights doing the latter, she was found by the Weapon [ Orion ]. The two of them struck up conversation and got to know each other outside of the classroom she tutored him for. He found out that she was interested in being a Meister and, since he had no partner anymore, he offered to take her out to give it a shot. He teased her for being so starry-eyed with a weak backbone, but she spoke so fervently about prophecies and omens and the power the stars gave magical creatures that he was intrigued enough to make their partnership more serious.
She reached out to his counselor with Orion's blessing and was able to attend Meister classes herself as a student without her mother being made aware. Letters of her progress are regularly sent home, but since they pertain to Ramona, her mother's never read them if she's come across them before Ramona could intercept. Ramona's mother is so invested in her own social life that Ramona's been able to take on missions and school projects with her partner without getting caught so far.
More than the Meister and Weapon activities, Ramona's been hoping to use the opportunities the DWMA is giving her to find out the answer to some of her dad's research, or even find him and help him directly. She's been having strange dreams since his letters became more descriptive at the age of fifteen - after she saw him last - and she's been desperate to find out if her dreams have anything to do with his studies.
CLASS: Meister โจโจโจโจOracle โจ Those of the Oracle Path are Meisters who can easily resonate with multiple weapon partners and are particularly talented with Soul Perception. Oracles start with two additional perks in Soul Perception. Can perform Soul Perception techniques at one level higher while wielding a Demon Weapon. Additionally, Oracles can partner with one additional Demon Weapon without drawbacks. ARCHETYPE: Artist โจโจโจโจ The Artist has by far the most colorful soul wavelength with a high level of instant inspiration that tends to taper off over time. During their journey, artists can obtain one extra soul for all missions until they reach level five. After level five, the artistic inspiration dies and they lose one soul in all missions to a minimum of one soul per mission. Additionally, artists gain two perks in one skill that they are most passionate about. Artists are highly compatible with lovers and are incompatible with heroes. They are neutral with all other archetypes. RESOURCE POOL: 100 Spirit SOUL COLOR:Pink | #e2acb7, but appears iridescent (always visible) at the edges of its manifestation.
Soul Perception (+4 perks base, +2 perks from Oracle) Tier One โฏ Passivity โฏ The Meister's perception detects souls passively around them. At this point in their development, the Meister can determine what type of soul is around them (human (M/W), witch, demon, reaper) within ten feet. โฉ โฏ Relatability โฏ This perk reveals information about soul archetypes without needing to attempt Soul Resonance with the soul in question. This information is so easily detected by those with this ability that the soul archetype of a soul under Soul Guard is still revealed. In addition, this perk enables the Meister to determine what weapon(s) the Weapon turns into or, if perceiving a Meister, this perk determines if they have learned any skills in Soul Perception as well. It can reveal what branch the Witch belongs to, but not if Soul Guard is in place. โฉ โฏ Are We All Mad Here? โฏ This perk enables the Meister to detect Madness while using all of their perception techniques. This does not affect Madness-ridden souls that are masked or otherwise guarded. This perk allows the Meister to passively ignore a single tier of Madness coming their way once every five posts. Tier Two โฏ Passivity II โฏ The Meister's perception detects souls passively around them. At this point in their development, the meister can determine what type of soul is around them (human (M/W), witch, demon, reaper) within fifty feet. Requires "Passivity." โฉ โฏ Deep Perception โฏ The first skill tree learned by the target(s) is revealed to the Meister. If perception is used on the same target again, the next learned skill tree is revealed. This applies to new applications of the Clairvoyance skill, not sustained usage; Passivity will only ever grant the first skill tree, but using Clairvoyance or another perception technique will grant the Meister information about their next skill tree. This only informs the Meister of the skill tree, and not what perks, techniques, or progression has been achieved by the target(s). Tier Three โฏ Deepest Perception โฏ Two skill trees are revealed to the Meister. The perks, abilities, and overall progression is revealed to the Meister. The only tree never revealed is that of the Madness skill tree. The Meister reveals an unstackable resource reduction to their dodge or defense against the next attack from each target sensed by this perk. This reduction is only granted once per battle. Requires the "Deep Perception" perk.
Cleric (+2 from Artist) Tier One โฏ Holy Water โฏ A tier of Madness is cured in an ally when a Cleric technique is used on them. This can stack with a technique's innate Madness curing if applicable. This perk cannot apply to the user. โฉ โฏ Deathbound โฏ Clerics, even those at the unobserving end of the religious spectrum, have a connection with Lord Death because of his anti-Madness teachings. These Clerics passively know the location of Lord Death at any given moment. When defending Lord Death directly in the same topic, the Cleric's techniques are one level lower in cost. โฉ โฏ Oh Lawd โฏ The most common perk of Clerics is this one. Madness techniques influence Clerics at one level lower at a minimum of level one; however, this does not stack in any way with any other kind of passive resistance to Madness, even that given by soul archetype. Tier Two โฏ Love Thy Neighbor โฏ The Cleric is able to share the benefits of one of their perks from any of their skill trees with one ally for the span of three posts. This cannot be a perk that stacks with one the ally already possesses, or one with a pre-requisite perk the ally is not in possession of. โฉ โฏ Beloved Boon โฏ This perk gives the ally - only ever a single ally, regardless of Kyrie Eleison - the ability to use one technique in their next post for half cost. The technique used for half-cost cannot be a Cleric technique. Tier Three โฏ Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God โฏ This enables the Cleric to use one of their techniques on themselves without drawbacks or reduced efficacy. Cost reduction or resource grant perks or techniques are not usable on the self. This perk can only be applied twice per battle.

โจ Safe and Sound | Level 3 | Tier 2 | Resource This prayer enables the Cleric to protect one ally. The ally can ignore one attack coming their way in their next post without having to pay for a defensive technique or a dodge. This technique has a three post cooldown.
โจ Faith in Health | Level 4 | Tier 2 | Resource The Cleric cures a chosen ally of any injuries. Additionally, the ally is relieved of one tier of Madness. Finally, any curses or remnant spell effects on the ally are removed, but the Cleric or the ally must pay the cost of the spell or spells being removed on top of this technique.
โจ Exorcism | Level 5 | Tier 3 | Resource This technique is usable once a battle. It removes all offensive activations from a Kishin or someone under the influence of Black Blood. To anyone who is neither a Kishin nor influenced by Black Blood, they instead lose one activation and cannot inflict any Madness through any means for one post.
โจ Boundless Servitude | Level 5 | Tier 3 | Resource This technique is usable on a separate Meister/Weapon pair or on the Cleric's Weapon partner. This ability enables the pair or the Cleric and their partner the ability to achieve Soul Resonance one more time in combat, exceeding typical Soul Resonance limitations. This technique can not be affected by any perk whatsoever.

He is naive because of his sheltered upbringing but he can be very curious as well. He looks up to his partner Rogue like a mentor more than a partner sometimes, and is even guilty of a little hero worship when he hears about the great things Rogue has done. Chance loves to travel and lives with only slight paranoia that his body guards are right around the corner to kidnap him and bring him back to his parents. This reflects how highly he values his freedom, and how unwilling he is to return to an overly-sheltered life.

BIOGRAPHY: Chance Bellamy is the oldest son to Chauncey and Marie Bellamy. His oil baron parents provided him with every desire he had growing up, except that of his dream to see the world. He grew up sheltered because of his overprotective mother and his doubtful father who thought he'd do something stupid to threaten the family image. Still, this never deterred Chance from dreaming big. One time, he happened to escape his body guards long enough to explore the town on his own, one that his parents were in some contract with, when he found a white-haired man being threatened. Chance jumped into the action immediately, becoming a revolver to aid the stranger. Little did Chance know, that'd be the beginning of the adventure of a lifetime.
CLASS: Weapon โจโจโจโจDual Alterer โจ Weapons of the Dual Alterer Path are demon weapons focused on serving as the sole weapon for one Meister. Dual Alterers gain two additional perks for their primary weapon type. Additionally, the Dual Alterer receives one extra perk for every level attained when they remain loyal to only one Meister. ARCHETYPE: Outlaw โจโจโจโจOutlaws tend to be individually minded and free-spirited but impulsive. These free souls have a quick and smooth tempo to their wavelength. Outlaws gain one point to their dexterity and lose one point in wisdom. They also start with two additional light weapon perks if of Weapon class. In soul resonance, outlaws are highly compatible with sages and explorers and incompatible with rulers. They are neutral with all other archetypes. Gunslinger (+4 DA, +2 Outlaw) Tier One โฏ The Quick and the Dead โฏ Once the gun is fired, the Gunslinger is able to fire a second bullet immediately afterwards at one level lower to a minimum of level one. The second shot requires no activation. This perk has a five post cooldown. โฉ โฏ I Already Chose McCree โฏ The Gunslinger is so quick at firing shots that they can split a technique to hit an additional target without reducing the strength of the technique. This perk has a five post cooldown. โฉ โฏ Wild Wild West โฏ A technique from this skill tree are treated as one level higher up to level five once per five posts. Tier Two โฏ Cowboy Bebop โฏ The efficacy of the Gunslinger enables them to produce a Gunslinger technique and be refunded the full stamina cost once per five posts. โฉ โฏ Shoot-'em-up โฏ A Gunslinger can produce a 'shadow' to their bullets, hitting the opponent with a second same level strike for no cost or activation once every five posts. Requires "The Quick and the Dead". Tier Three โฏ One in the Chamber โฏ Three times a battle, the Gunslinger can make a technique overwhelm another of the same level.
Madness (+4 Base, +1 DA) Tier One โฏ Unsettling โฏ Regardless of the Madness tier of any opponents (or lack thereof), the user can generate baseball-sized abstract, incomprehensible visual-only illusions that confuse the opponent. This generation isn't an ability and doesn't cost an action, nor does it induce Madness, but it can cause confusion and distract opponents. These can be things like the untrackable 'eye squiggle' that some people get in the corner of their vision, but can also be things like vague doodles that can't be looked at directly or even visual glitches in the environment that fix themselves once the opponent(s) look at it. โฉ โฏ Raging โฏ The user is able to shoot their wavelength out at a ten foot radius for no action or cost, inflicting no damage but inflicting one tier of Madness, once every five posts. โฉ โฏ Disordering โฏ The user emits a screech which disturbs the souls in the area prevents opponents from entering soul resonance for one post. This does not effect opponents already in soul resonance. This can be used once every five posts. โฉ โฏ Predicting โฏ The user is able to detect soul wavelength attacks just before they strike the user, allowing the user to defend against these attacks for one level lower in resource. The reduction doesn't stack with any other reductions, and this benefit is only applicable once every five posts. Tier Two โฏ Unpredictable โฏ The user is able to dodge for one level less in resource once every five posts. โฉ โฏ Amnesia โฏ If an attack from the user lands on the opponent, this ability can activate. The struck opponent will suddenly forget one of their skill trees. This only works for two posts before the opponent is able to recover their mind from the hold Madness held on it. This ability is usable once every five posts, and only on a single opponent at a time.
Knives Tier One โฏ Dirty Tricks โฏ If the user lunges in for a knife technique then an after image of the knife forms to perform the same technique at one level lower at a minimum of level one. This perk has a five post cooldown. โฉ โฏ Guttersnipe โฏ A knife technique requires one level higher in resource to dodge. This ability has a five post cooldown. โฏ Shiv โฏ If a knife technique lands, it robs the opponent of an action. This has a five post cooldown. โฉ โฏ Joker โฏ If a knife technique lands then the bleeding is far more profuse. This causes a drain on the enemy's resource pool that is one level lower than the technique at a minimum of level one. โฏ Street Fighter โฏ The Shank technique is able to be used one level higher once per five posts. โฉ โฏ Raphael โฏ A knife technique can be performed alongside another weapon skill tree technique. This allows both techniques to use the same action. This has a five post cooldown. Tier Two โฏ Slice n' Dice โฏ If a knife technique lands then the bleeding is far more profuse. This causes a drain on the enemy's resource pool that is the same level as the technique at a minimum of level one. Requires the Joker perk. โฉ โฏ Fangs of the Cobra โฏ If wielding dual knives, the other knife can perform the same technique at the same level with no action or stamina cost. This copied technique is at a minimum of level one. This perk has a five post cooldown. Requires the Guttersnipe perk. Tier Three โฏ Jack of Spades โฏ Once per battle, the knife is able to use an additional knife technique with no stamina or action cost.

โจ Gunshot | Scaled Level | Tier 1 | Stamina This technique is the simple staple of the gunslinger. Simply point and shoot and apply the level of the technique you want to use. While gunshots are quick, they are able to be dodged by meisters, weapons, and witches alike.
โจ Fancy Shootin' | Level 2 | Tier 1 | Stamina The user fires their gun into the ground before the bullet travels under the surface and resurfaces from the ground beneath the enemy.
โจ Shooting Gallery | Level 3 | Tier 2 | Stamina The gunslinger fires two shots in quick succession. Once they land on a target or surface, the second round explodes and damages targets within a thirty-foot radius.
โจ One Shot | Level 4 | Tier 2 | Stamina The gunslinger fires a single shot, typically with a particularly dramatic stature and sometimes with an inappropriate grip on the gun.
โจ Unload | Level 5 | Tier 3 | Stamina The player fires their pistol three times in a row with each successive round exploding to cause even more damage. The first round is a level five explosion. The following two rounds are separate level one explosions. This technique requires only one action but can only be used once per battle.
โจ Distortion | Level 1 | Tier 1 | Stamina, Mana, or Spirit This ability allows the user to change their physical size. Techniques used scale to the user. This ability allows the user to make themselves the size of 3 feet tall to the size of a two story building. Efficacy of techniques are unaffected. This ability lasts for three posts.
โจ Madness Sting | Level 1 | Tier 1 | Stamina, Mana, or Spirit The user holds a hand out and shoots a condense beam of Madness out. The aesthetic appearance of the attack can change into anything the user desires. The sting inflicts a raised tier of Madness on the opponent.
โจ Madness Construction | Level 3 | Tier 2 | Stamina, Mana, or Spirit The user creates a construction out of pure Madness energy. This can be any form the user desires, but requires both hands for them to direct it. The construction can be anywhere from three feet to three stories tall and inflicts Madness with all of its strikes. This could be a large dragon or an army of feral dogs. The constructions must stay in the topic of the user. If a Meister of the Soul Construction skill tree, those perks may influence this technique if the Meister so chooses.
โจ Phantom Play | Level 3 | Tier 2 | Stamina, Mana, or Spirit The user's illusions are so powerful that the opponents' senses, mind, body, and soul will treat them as real. This allows the user to generate tornados that don't physically suck the air out of the opponent yet stills their lungs anyways, or monsters that can't quite shred a Meister to pieces but can force their body into shock as if their guts are falling out. These illusions are up to the user's imagination, and get worse if the user is familiar with the Unreality perk line. If the user is a Meister of the Soul Mirage skill tree, those perks may influence this technique if the Meister so chooses.
โจ Soul Barrier | Level 3 | Tier 2 | Stamina, Mana, or Spirit One of the user's more powerful techniques, this is a shield generated from a mix of soul energy and magic regardless of the user's type. Instilled with Madness, too, it is able to visually display grotesque or horrifying images in its form while also protecting the user from same level techniques. The images are transparent enough that the user is never obscured within their bubble. The barrier treats magic-based attacks one level lower in strength.
โจ Shank | Scaled Level | Tier 1 | Stamina A simple stabbing technique, this allows the knife to have a scaled level of stamina applied to it while stabbing at an opponent. This stabbing technique will defeat any lower level techniques or spells.
โจ Sucker Stab | Level 2 | Tier 1 | Stamina The knife pretends to perform a slashing motion at a target. Halfway through the slash, however, the knife is suddenly jabbed forward. This is similar to the sucker punch but is instead used with a knife.
โจ Sleight of Hand | Level 3 | Tier 2 | Stamina The user appears to perform a knife technique before tossing it up in the air at the last minute. This distracts the opponent momentarily before the wielder catches the knife again and suddenly slashes at the opponent. The opponent then realizes that this was a trick and the knife thrown in the air was a reflection off of the real knife which was in the wielder's hand the entire time.
โจ Blur | Level 4 | Tier 2 | Stamina The wielder moves rapidly and wildly in multiple directions as they lunge to stab an opponent. This creates a blur of a dozen after images of the wielder and the knife making it hard to track where the attacks are coming from. With each movement, the wielder stabs at a different part of the body.
โจ Blink | Level 5 | Tier 3 | Stamina The ultimate knife technique, the wielder moves in a blink and completely disappears for a split second. The wielder lunges so quickly that the eye cannot follow them. Suddenly, the wielder appears behind them and attempts to stab the knife into a vital organ. It is impossible to dodge this technique and must be blocked. This technique can only be used once per battle.

Cirque du la Folie is a small travelling French circus that visits the DWMA specifically every three years. Otherwise, it tends to stay confined in France. Lord Death never comments on the circus beyond acknowledging its existence, so little is known about the importance of it visiting the academy every few years.
NAME: Orion Manner ALIAS: LEVEL: 1 AGE: 17 BIRTHDATE: August 3 GENDER: Male HANDEDNESS: Right PERSONALITY: Orion is passionate, loud-mouthed, and judgmental. He burns a lot of bridges with people and also feels frustrated with how people make assumptions about him based on his over-achieving older brother who is somewhat famous among the DWMA students for being a young Death Scythe. Orion has a lot of resentment because of it, though he gets along with Ramona well because her air-headedness allows her to know nothing about Orion's brother or himself, so he can define himself as she gets to know him.

Lovers are highly compatible with heroes, artists, and sages and incompatible with explorers. They are neutral with all other archetypes. RESOURCE POOL: 100 Stamina SOUL COLOR:Crimson
Big Guns (+3 DA) Tier One โฏ Spray n' Pray โฏ An additional target can be effected by a technique without diminishing the strength of the technique. This perk has a five post cooldown. โฉ โฏ Heavy Gunner โฏ Range for these techniques are doubled. โฉ โฏ Rifleman โฏ Snipe's view range becomes the entire topic, though obstructions and other distortions will effect vision when applicable. โฉ โฏ Going Commando โฏ Once per five posts, a Big Guns technique will be one level harder to dodge. Tier Two โฏ Sniper โฏ The range of these techniques encompass the entire thread. โฉ โฏ Band of Brothers โฏ Big Guns techniques can defend against one level higher attacks once every five posts. Tier Three โฏ Gatling Gunner โฏ Three times a post, a Big Guns technique can overwhelm techniques of the same level.
"You don't have to play everything so safe, is what I'm saying," Orion explained as they stood on the rooftop. Dusk surrounded them like a heavy, warm blanket in the Nevada desert weather. "We could totally run in there and bust some heads." He punched a fist into his other open hand for emphasis as he looked at two-story building they faced. They were watching for two criminals, those whose souls had converted into Kishin Eggs. They could view the dining table that the crime family had gathered at because of how well-illuminated it was and how the family seemed to appreciate hanging the heavy curtains on the side of the window.
It was almost too easy, as far as Orion was concerned. Still, Ramona didn't like his hands-on approach and preferred to scout every single mission out, which left him with an uncomfortable familiarity with most of the roof tops in Death City. "How long are we supposed to wait here?" He asked, his voice falling into a whine at the end. But the squeaky wheel gets the grease, because the head of the family was raising her head and speaking a joyous greeting as two identical brothers walked into the room.
"Hell yeah!" He punched a fist into the air, though Ramona gave him a look that made him quiet down -- he didn't want to alert the family to what they were about to do, anyways. They didn't need the rest of them, just the twins. The rest of the family's souls showed signs of corruption, according to Ramona, who could just see that s**t somehow. Your soul looks very happy, she had said to him not long after they first met.
"Are you ready?" She asked him, looking at him patiently as she waited for an answer. It always made him consider saying no, because he knew she'd leave things be if that were the case, but he could never bring himself to tease her.
"Of course," he said with a sharkish grin. He transformed into the rifle, falling into her tender hands easily. She tucked the butt of the rifle against her shoulder and leaned in, already in position as she kneeled and braced herself on the roof. She tilted her head in, lining up with the scope. Her finger was still against the side of the gun, not yet hanging over the trigger. She breathed slowly as she aimed her rifle downward through the window. She waited as the two twins came into view.
"Are you ready?" She asked again. He rolled his eyes, though she couldn't see it. She didn't have to treat him like he was fragile. He wasn't going to break. He was a high powered rifle. She could pull the trigger with no notice and he would handle it just fine. He held his tongue so as not to break her concentration - he knew it'd take her a while to find her zen again if she did.
"Ready."
