Keiko had to get out more often, she knew that for a hard and fast fact but…
She simply had nothing tying her to being a senshi. She didn’t care enough, didn’t have anything to really lose...and she didn’t feel that there was any real reason to power up. Perhaps if she had some friends involved in this...or had well. Anything.
Since it was summer, Keiko was out again, figuring that her senshi fuku was cooler than most of her clothing, what with the short skirt...plus...at least she looked cute!
What the senshi hadn’t expected was the feeling of...wrongness that penetrated the night, and when she saw the long haired, dark clad girl who was emitting the wrongness...she attacked without bothering to question.
“Freeze!” Good versus evil. She could do this much, at least.
The rest of it...whatever politics were involved...nah. But defend herself? Defend her city? That was a worthy cause...wasn’t it?
...It stopped her from being bored at any rate.Noir Songbird Keiko draws in a deep breath after saying the name of her attack and blows it out, towards an opponent. The breath comes out a pale, icy blue and can travel as far as five feet away, in a cone that is five feet wide. The attack can only effect one person, and that person will feel a sharp, bitter cold as though they have been outside in sub freezing temperatures for a little too long. Once struck by the cold breath, the feeling of freezing lasts for thirty seconds. This attack can be used twice per battle.

Lilith was trying to work harder at being a Senshi of the Negaverse. There was something inspiring for her, about everytihng that had happened down in the Rift, and about knowing that Dinara was thinking of joining them. That was the kind of thing that gave a girl a spring in her step and an eagerness to keep pushing forward and doing better. She was going to get promoted, and become a stronger Sailor Soldier.
She just had to prove that she was worth it.
So she was out looking for targets to energy drain, or maybe someone to talk to--if she could sell people on joining the Negaverse, that was just as much of a victory--except that she heard a shout, and then a cold chill descended over her.
Cold and unnatural, in the summer heat. Lilith shivered, and spun, and narrowed her eyes.
"Is that how it's gonna be, sweetheart," she said, and then she smiled, in the way of someone that was very much considering homicide. "Fine then. Kelpie's Lure."
It was a good thing that the magical soaking she got from her cast wasn't actual water, and didn't make her any colder, but she did launch forward to swing her fist at the other Senshi. She just needed a little contact, and this girl would regret taking her on.Sailor Scout Attack: Kelpie's Lure! Lilith speaks the name of her attack and gestures at herself. She appears soaking wet and her footsteps sound like hoofbeats for the duration of the attack. For the next 30 seconds, anyone who makes any kind of direct physical contact with Lilith will feel, for the remaining duration of the attack, as if they are drowning. It is possible to struggle and as they are not actually drowning no real damage is done and it is impossible to actually die from it. Lilith can use this attack three times per battle.

“Sweetheart! Like someone as tacky as you would be worth being close enough to justify calling each other sweetheart!”
Keiko let out a laugh, twisting herself away from the punch, and seeming so very smug when all the corrupt managed to do was brush her knuckles against her. “Hah! You’ll have to get up earlier…”
But something was wrong. Clearly...that hadn’t been just a punch. Kelpie’s Lure? What the ******** was a Kelpie again? s**t.
She couldn’t breathe. Couldn’t even seem to remember how to draw in a breath, and the very idea of it...it made her panic. Was there really water over her mouth and nose? Filling up her lungs? “The ********.” Keiko gasped, staggering back from the dark clad senshi, eyes going wide. “The ******** kind of magic is this?”
...It was terrifying and...well.
...She was kind of jealous, if truth could be told.

Lilith prowled forward, taking advantage of the echoing hoofbeats her footsteps became with her magic in play. It made her so much more intimidating--and she loved every bit of that. She wasn't exactly intimidating in her daily life; there were too many people that wanted to make her into whatever they wanted her to be for that.
But as Lilith...oh, as Lilith, she could instill fear.
She had to resist the urge to shiver, with the other Senshi's cold magic still sunk deep into her bones, and it was an active fight, but that was okay. She was used to putting on a happier face than she was feeling--or, in this case, acting like she wasn't cold at all, even though she was absolutely freezing, summer night or no.
"It's the magic of the water horse. The kelpie. Who lures in unsuspecting fools...and drowns them." Lilith smiled, razor-edged. "How about you don't attack random people on the street, huh, sweetheart? You never know when they'll turn out to be much, much scarier than you."

“Much much scarier huh? Have you heard of a Yuki-Onna before?” She drew in a gasp of air, relaxing as the magic wore off. “You want to talk scary. Freezing to death always seems worse than drowning I think. I’m the senshi of the Yuki-Onna, so...I really don’t think your water pony is as frightening as a literal monster.”
Demon. Whatever.
“Your magic is kind of amazing though. Just have to throw that out there. And It was the right thing to do. That’s my job right? Attack the powers of darkness blah blah? You’re...clearly a lady of the night.” Keiko smirked, waggling her eyebrows. “In more ways than one, I bet. I’m Keiko.”
She wasn’t sure if she wanted to touch the corrupt again, and didn’t hold out a hand, even though in ordinary circumstances...she might have. “I have to admit I'm jealous. I want to drown people and sound like a horse.” Pausing for a moment, Keiko wrinkled her nose. “Like...foot wise. Not...go around neighing.”

Lilith hummed, thoughtfully. So this Senshi was chatty once you got past the attack-on-sight. That was good, Lilith like that. She gave a broad, amused smile, and hummed.
"Oh, I don't know, they've always seemed about equal to me, but I'll give you that freezing to death is pretty terrible." She looked the girl up and down. "Yuki-onna, huh? How interesting! There are so many of us mythical monster Senshi running around, all over the war."
She bowed, with a flourish, rather than offering a hand, even though her magic was well and over with. "I'm Sailor Lilith. A pleasure to meet you, Keiko." She quirked her eyebrows up as she straightened. "As for being 'the forces of darkness...' I will say that I was just taking a walk, and you decided to jump me. But that's neither here nor there. We can always have a chat like civilized people, rather than fighting each other. It's what I prefer, really."

“Yeah well, I do this.” Keiko gestured to her fuku, and hoped that the implication was made. “Rarely enough that...I figured I should earn my keep or whatever. And you could have been eating old people or like. Stealing puppies or something, so I won’t apologize for jumping the gun.”
She grinned though, and honestly, that should be enough of an apology that Lilith would have to accept, or just deal with it.
“And what is it that you enjoy chatting about? I can chat, at least for a few more minutes, I guess. To be honest, I’m thinking of just going home and having a nap. My duty is done for another…” The senshi shrugged. “...I don’t know. Year or so? Look at me. A good little warrior.”

Lilith laughed. It sounded familiar; donning your fuku rarely and trying to do the most you could when you did, so you didn't have to do it again. She had to admit, powering up hadn't been fun or interesting at first, and so it made her more inclined to simply not...do that.
Not anymore, though.
"Yeah, I used to try to cram it all into as little effort as possible, too," she said, and she grinned wryly. "But I dunno, now that I'm doing it more, it's pretty fun, actually." She shrugged her shoulders. "Not for too long, though, and I don't like the part where people try to kick my a** for no reason. But you know, maybe we can just part as unlikely acquaintances for now. I wouldn't want to keep you from your nap."

She had a nice laugh, Keiko could admit that readily, but honestly...she wasn’t sure if she was being mocked with the whole nap thing or not, and the senshi simply hummed, not wanting to fight more. Well, not at the moment at least. Maybe later.
“Well, I promise then, if I see you again, I’ll have some small talk before just jumping in and attacking, how does that sound?” There wasn’t any way she would promise that she wouldn’t attack. That was...just not cool. And if there was anything that Keiko was, it was cool.
“That only applies to you though, Lil. Anyone else I’ll pull the same trick I did with you. It’s in the contract.”
There was no contract. She was just pulling things out of her a**.
“But, yes. The naptime calls. See you when I see you, Kelpie girl.”

"In the contract, gotcha," Lilith saluted, a little playfully. She liked this one--really, it was so unfortunate that Order had so many fun, adorable girls, because Lilith did not see herself giving up her life, her career, and everything else to go be some nobody again just so she could be a goody two shoes in white.
Nah, she was happy where she was, but that didn't mean she couldn't entertain herself a little.
"See you around, Snow Queen," she winked, and then turned to disappear into the night.
