Houshi knew she was lucky. She probably sohuld have died, when Atheneite stabbed her, but now she was better, and healthy, and able to move. She'd even managed to dodge any kind of horrific infection; a miracle when she'd fallen, bleeding, into water.
But she was out, and determined to be a better Page than she had been. Perhaps that would shake off the odd youma that seemed so very interested in her. Though...she supposed she owed Kiyokinu further thanks, since in the end, she'd been alright.
She was so lost in thought, as she wandered, that she was completely not focusing on any other approaching auras.

Tinaksite had a lot to think about. She...wasn’t happy. It seemed that her care and concern only ended up annoying people...and that was one of the most disheartening things that she could really think of. She missed the thrill that she used to have while powering up, and thus...decided to reclaim it.
Plucking the starseed of the man had been simple, even more so due to the fact he had been eyeing her in a way that made Tinaksite’s skin absolutely crawl. If she had her way she wouldn’t...eat such filth but…
A starseed was a starseed.
She felt the aura of an approaching member of order and paused, the glowing gem at her lips. Oh. It was the one who stole her weapon. The tissue ghost thief...well.
Well.
“You!” Tinkasite hissed, all of her anger and disappointment at everything else coming the the surface when she found something that she could control.
The starseed made a surprisingly loud noise as she shattered it between her teeth, and the rush of power that it brought was…
Oh. Oh how she had missed this. “I’ll take it back tonight, just you wait.” Her flail was summoned, and before the page even had a chance to flee, the Captain was moving towards her, filled with energy from the soul of the creep who lay on the sidewalk.

Houshi startled, and swore to herself. No, no, no, this was ridiculous and unfair, she did not want to run into another Captain--and especially not this Captain.
"I told you, it's mine, my Page weapon, not yours!" Not that it would do anything for her, so Houshi slid her little ame-ame-bozu around her wrist and squared up defensively.
"And what was that you just crunched?" Not that she wanted to know, and all she was doing was trying to back up and get away. The Captain was too quick, though, and all she could do was hold up her arms.

“It was mine first. I now have a cup with my tissue ghost in it, so you can not claim it for your own. If you hand it over now, perhaps I will not eat your starseed like I ate his.” Tinaksite’s words were surprisingly calm as she slammed the flail into the raised arms.
“Though I bet you will be delicious. He was slimy and a terrible person but the rush...I have missed this. Perhaps I will just eat your starseed and take the tissue ghost anyway…”
Yes. That sounded like a much better plan. She didn’t have to give anything up, she would get what she wanted...only doubled.
A smile began to light on the Tinaksite’s face and she raised the flail again. “Surrender and I will make it quick, thief.”

Ate his starseed.
Houshi's facve went very gray with horror as that sank in. Ate the starseed of some random civilian.
This woman was well and truly insane, and nothing that Houshi could do was going to change that,
The smack of the flail against her arms made her grit her teeth against a yelp of pain; it hurt, but she couldn't falter. If she faltered here, she would die, and that had never been clearer to her than it was in this awful, terrible moment.
"I will not surrender to the likes of you," she growled, and she shifted one arm to grab at the flail, yanking in an attempt to take it out of the Captain's grip. The entire calculus of this encounter would change, she knew, if the weapon changed hands. She probably wouldn't be able to use it for long, Negaverse agents surely had a way to recover their weapons, but one or two good hits while the Captain was surprised might do enough damage to give her time to flee.

Tinaksite didn’t realize just what was happening until her flail was taken from her hand.
Her flail was ripped from her grasp and...no. No! “You think to take my weapon now after you have taken the tissue ghost? You dare? You dare?”
For a moment, the world lurched, and Tinaksite gave what could only be described as a roar, leaping at the page with her hands curled into claws, though her nails were far too short to do any damage. God, she wanted to rip this girl apart. Wanted to rip out her hair, watch the blood pour down her face. Wanted to savor her starseed and just…destroy.
“Give it back, you b***h! Give them both back to me now!”

Houshi was, herself, a little surprised that her plan worked. It had seemed a bit desperate, even to her, but she held the Captain's flail in her hand, and that gave her the upper hand.
She could have attacked with it, surely, but the Captian was so frothing mad...it seemed a deeply risky proposition to keep fighting. So instead, she dodged out of the way of the lunge.
"You want this back?" She said, sharply. "Go get it!"
She hurled the flail with all her might, sending it flying, and then took off running in the opposite direction. The Captain, she hoped, would have to decide between recovering her weapon and chasing down Houshi, and if she even had a moment of confusion or indecision, that might let Houshi get far enough to power down and hide. That was all she needed--an escape route and just a little bit of time.

Tinaksite paused and her head swiveled to follow the path of the weapon and she turned, making for it. Thank goodness. At least she would have one weapon back, she’d have to get the other one back too but, her flail first. Her flail was hers, first and foremost.
When she scrambled for the flail, the thought of the page was completely obliterated, and when she drew the weapon into her arms, holding it as though it were something special,she drew in a breath.
Okay. Now. For the page.
The Captain turned, smirking, excited to go back to attacking but…
But the page was gone.
Oh. Well. She huffed and swung her flail in the air, angry. She wanted another starseed. If she couldn’t have the one inside of the thief’s chest...well. There were others out there.
