Nicknames: Angie
Pronouns: She/Her
Age: 19
Birthday: Oct 31th
School: Mayet University
Hobbies:
- Reading books/watching movies -- If there's a library nearby, or even a bookstore, it's quite possible you'll find Angela right smack in the middle of it, with her nose in a book. It becomes rather difficult to talk to her when she's engulfed in her reading - it's quite possible a nuclear bomb could drop and her answer would be "Just a minute, please - I'm almost to the end of the page." She's (unsurprisingly) a fan of mystery and horror novels. Her fascination with the genre carries over to movies too, but according to her, books just give you something that movies can not - having a really large imagination helps. Despite being a rather meek girl, Angie really enjoys scary films. They don't require physical exertion to get a thrill and are always deeply interesting for her. Granted, she's prone to clinging to pillows or friends, if they happen to be near her while she watches said films, but for some reason, she enjoys being scared (not to mention she enjoys being able to suss out whom the killer might be, etc - It's not the butler!).
Playing the violin -- While her musical inclination is above average, she isn't a musical genius, by any means. It's possible she began playing the violin as a means to express herself and her emotions to others. In a way, it's become an outlet - if she's frustrated, she grabs her violin and plays away. Sadly, she's not all too competitive in this field and has not though of perusing this as anything other than a hobby she indulges in. Still, it makes for a rather interesting performance when she vents this way.
Puzzles -- Give her a puzzle of any kind, and she'll enjoy it. Video games like Tetris or Puyo Puyo? Sure! Sudokus? Awesome sauce. Rubic cube? Let her at it! She'll show you she can crack it in record time. Murder mysteries? Oh, man, she's all over that; watch her play detective! While it's true she can enjoy other sort of genres (Rpg strategy games, platforms, etc), Angie really, really enjoys her puzzle games, to the point that it's possibly a distraction. She has to do homework? Uh... give her just a sec, she almost has this one cracked! She's been working on it for hours - she'll get to the homework done as soon as she's nailed it.
Pros:
- Elementary, my dear Watson Intelligent -- Angie is one of those people that find school to be easy, not to mention deeply enjoyable for the most part (at least when she's not being distracted by something or other). She works on puzzles, problems, and random research that no one really even cares about in her free time. She's got a good memory for random trivia and is well known for knowing the strangest pieces of info. Of course, the downside is that when a subject matter doesn't interest her, she losses her concentration and is prone to ignoring it in favor of seeking something that will keep her interest. Needless to say, this is not particularly favorable for getting good grades - it means that while she excels in certain classes, she can barely scrape by on others because she just can't seem to look at that particular subject's book for longer than four minutes straight without wanting to bash her head against the desk.
I spot a Rat Observant -- While many people lose sight of details when focusing on a big picture, Angie does not - she has a knack for figuring things out. It's hard to 'slip one' past this girl. She enjoys observing people and their behavior; she also enjoys looking at fine detail. Somehow, she manages not to lose sight of the big picture while doing so.
Crumpets and Tea Polite/Well intentioned -- Well mannered, educated and perhaps a tad shy at times (she's just really not sure of herself, and often needs a little coaxing to come out of her shell). She's a good girl, for the most part, or at least tries to be. She more often than not, has others' best interests at heart, disregarding what she might want at the time. Granted, this also makes her a bit of a doormat; she has a horrible time saying 'no' to anyone, and has agreed to some of the most ridiculous ideas of all times, just because someone asked her to do it. She will agree to things she thinks are a bad idea just because she was asked, and often suffers the consequences - she'd probably allow someone to drag her through Hell if they asked her nicely. She can't help but care for people, which also brings her problem, due to the fact she can and will end up caring for someone that really can't be bothered. She tends to empathize even with her enemies, which can be... a really, really bad idea. Despite this, if people can put up with her, she's the type of person that puts others before herself.
You do You! Laid back -- Despite her initial shyness, Angie gets along with almost everyone, or tries to anyhow. She's not judgmental, does not hold grudges, and tends to give people endless chances. She would make a friend out of a rock. At the same time, this gets her in trouble because she's often taken advantage of without her even realizing it, and even when she does realize it... she's just too kind to drop it and leave.
Cons:
- In her own little World Self Absorbed -- Angie lives in her own little world. Whether she's playing her violin, reading a book, or simply sitting there, pondering something or other... she's in her own little world, and more often than not gets horribly distracted when she should be focusing on something. Her laid back nature doesn't help, and she often finds herself wondering why people are so frustrated with her - she's doing what you asked! It's just... that it's taking her two hours to accomplish a ten minute task. But she'll get there! She promises, really! Even if it takes her to whole day!
I shall touch the Thing Lacks common sense/Too trusting -- You know that person that you roll your eyes at because they're accidentally holding a gun pointing down at her feet without her realizing it? Yeah, that would probably be Angie. You would probably have to stop and explain to her why doing something like letting that serial killer in for a cup of tea is a bad idea. "But... he looked like he needed a cup of tea..." She just can't help but trust people - it's in her nature to do so. Even if she might be able to instantly tell if someone ate x food at x place from that stain on their clothes, she will most likely believe her if you tell her that no, she's wrong, it's from something else. This is mostly because she hasn't stopped to think that someone would TRY to lie to her.
I'm sorry, I guess Socially awkward/No brain to mouth filter -- Being observant and intelligent does not mean you have social wisdom. Angie has the strange tendency of putting her foot in her mouth three times out of five. She will think something, and she will tell you as much on the spot, whether you like it or not, and doesn't seem to realize that perhaps she should've kept her mouth closed. She can sometimes say hurtful things, or rude things without realizing as much, and will find herself utterly confused as to why people are angry with her. Apparently, not everyone likes to know exactly what it is they're eating, and she's also learned that the mating rituals of her pet scorpions are not good over-dinner conversation.
I didn't mean to do that Klutz -- Angie tries. She honestly does, and yet she can't help herself. It's never a good idea to give her something that's breakable - she will find some way to accidentally break it and cause chaos (she's really sorry about that expensive vase! She didn't mean to drop it!). She's the type of person you can't leave alone in the kitchen, unless you wish to find your house burnt down to cinders when you come back. She's better at thinking than she is at acting out those thoughts. Despite her intensive Zodiac training, her body fails her more than she likes to admit; she knows what she has to do, and her brain is sending out orders to her limbs, but they just... don't always act like she expects or wants them to.
General Appearance
Angie is of average female height, bordering on just a little short - spritely and agile, she seems to be the type of person that would enjoy a nice jog through the park in the mornings. She's of indian ascendance, though from a couple of generations back; her great grand parents settled in, and her family has all but settled in neatly. Her hair is dark, long and straight, while her skin is dark from her heritage. Her eyes are large, and a dark violet shade, purple, really.
