Slowly but steadily over the months Kor was putting on weight and muscle. He was able to go on long walks, even light jogs. He lifted weights after making space in the unopened tattoo shop beneath the apartment. He wasn't going to be back to what he was a few years ago, not any time soon, but he wasn't a walking skeleton anymore. There were fewer days Kor wore long sleeves because he got cold easily.
Today, though, he found himself unable to really get out of bed. His body felt heavy even if he was awake. The very thought of moving to do what he needed to was like strapping concrete to his body. It was hard enough to put on some music so he wouldn't focus too hard on his own thoughts. He wasn't exactly paying attention to it, but it was better than just the drone of his fane and air conditioning unit. Kor took a deep breath and let it out in one hard rush of air before he hugged a pillow to his chest.
Derek must have gone to do something. From the sound of it, he was here by himself. There wasn't any water running in the kitchen or bathroom, no TV on. He was alone. Kor didn't even know where his cat was.
His stomach made a noise of protest at being empty and all Kor could do was push his face into the bed further.
There wasn't even any tears.

Derek sighed as he fished his keys out of his pocket, all while juggling a handful of things and trying not to drop them. He was greeted at the door by a very unenthusiastic yowl by the resident house cat. "Yeah yeah... I'm coming." Derek groaned, tossing a disgruntled look at the cat. MF chittered at him expectantly as he followed behind Derek. "Someday, I'ma by a bunch of catnip and you're not gonna like the end results." The blonde muttered as he kicked off his shoes, his only response from the cat being a sneeze. With a sigh, Derek finally made his way into the house proper.
Kaz and Kor were off doing their own thing and honestly? Honestly, Derek wasn't surprised Laine wasn't here, though he did have to admit that her sudden disappearances were even beginning to fray his even his nerves. All was quiet in the house, which meant Kor was either still sleeping... or... well. Sticking his head through the door confirmed his suspicions.
Kor was still very much in bed.
Guess it was a good thing he stopped on his way back home.
"Hey.." He murmured, walking in and sitting on the edge. "Gotcha something." The blonde said softly, giving the smoothie cup a gentle shake. "Class was cancelled the second I got there so..." He shrugged. Maaaybe class was cancelled, maybe he just decided ******** it he didn't wanna go. It didn't matter at the moment. "It's some... fruit blend. I don't remember everything in it but I think it was like... Strawberries, blueberries and banana mostly?" Again another shrug. "I got fries too if you want them." It didn't matter that it was still morning.
He wanted fries.
Derek set the cup on the nightstand next to the bed, toeing the bag of munchies off to the side where it wouldn't spill, or someone would trip over it. Reaching out, he rubbed the other others back for a moment before sprawling out against Kor's back himself. "How are we feeling about today?" Derek shifted, resting his cheek on Kor's shoulder.

The voice and dip of the mattress drew Kor out of his not quite sleeping state and he turned to look at the blond. Something about what he said about class didn't feel right, but there was no point in calling him out on it. The mention of food, Kor followed the movements to the smoothies and where the other put the fries before he felt weight on him. It made the other man sigh, like something was finally tethering him to this existence, this moment in time.
How was he feeling?
Kor heaved a deep sigh in answer and just continued to lay there. "I want it to be over," he answered in a measured tone. Definitely being careful to pick his words. The last time he said he felt like he didn't deserve to eat, well, it had gone very badly.
He'd done absolutely nothing today. He couldn't even feed his own cat.

"You want what to be over, Baby?" Derek asked, picking up his head to look at Kor. "Do you mean... getting better?" He flinched at his own words. They sounded harsh, rougher then he meant. The blonde sighed, stretching up to place a kiss on the other's cheek. "You've done so well, Love. You've done amazing..." He just had a little bit more to go.
Derek settled back into place, sliding his arms up and along side of Kor's. "Do you want to have a crash day?" They could do as much or as little as they wanted and just ignore the rest of the world around them. "We could finally watch all those movies and shows we said we'd start." He offered lightly. Derek turned again, this time kissing Kor's shoulder. "Though I guess first thing I should ask is... Is it a just us day, or do you want the others over?"

"I want today to be over."
When Derek's fingers reached Kor's, he threaded them together, but didn't make much more movement, other than to turn his head to take a proper deep breath. "No one else... no energy."
He always hated phrasing it like that. That he didn't want to be around his other boyfriends, or Laine, even though they were all together.
Still, Kor knew he wouldn't be able to handle too many voices in one area. He would end up either bursting into tears from being overwhelmed, or locking himself in the bathroom for the same reason. The tub was his usual go to. The only reason he wasn't in there now is because he'd been in the bed first.
Derek shouldn't have to take care of him like this. Kor should be the adult and just get up. He shou--
No, he cut that line of thinking off and just opened one eye to try to get a look at Derek.
"Movies..." He couldn't focus on a show right now. That was too much.

"Hmmm... We still have a while to go before the days over unfortunately." Derek said softly. It wasn't even noon yet. "Though I'm sure we can fix that easily." He gave the hand in his a gentle squeeze, turning to look at Kor again. "Just us then.." He'd shoot off a text to the boys later. Derek tilted his head, quirking an eyebrow curiously. "... Unless you want me to go too?" Kor mighta been in a bad headspace right now, but it was still important that he got time for himself. And with five people floating in and out at any given time now, it was harder, more then ever, to get that. "You're allowed to have just you days too, you know.." Derek untangled one hand, reaching up to scratch gentle circles into Kor's scalp.
He tilted his head again when the other had made his decision. "... Do you want to watch them in here, or do you wanna move somewhere else?" He asked softly, trying to keep his voice low. Derek wondered slightly, what they should watch, or if Kor had anything in particular he wanted to watch, but he didn't voice his curiosities. One question at a time, for now.

He wanted Derek to stay. Being completely alone right now would probably make him cry. ...Almost as if that scratching of his scalp wouldn't send him to tears. Kor took another deep breath and just tried to curl closer to the other.
"Here." Moving was hard. He wasn't even sure if his legs worked like that anymore. "....Snowpiercer?" Honestly it was one of his favorite movies. Snowpiercer, and Train to Busan were definitely on the agenda for watching. Somehow apocalyptical and zombie movies eased his own depression. Kor finally moved, rolling so Derek wasn't on him, but then he just rolled and wrapped himself around Derek, arms and legs. He was glad Derek could actually lay on him without worry now, but this was better.

Derek sat up a bit more and looked at the other. "Hey." He said softly, snagging Kor's attention. "We don't hafta do anything..." The blonde said, reminding him. "We can just sleep if you want." Granted, they'd probably end up sleeping anyway but.. Derek threw Kor a curious look, raising one eyebrow. "Is that the one with the train, during some frozen apocalypse hell?? I know they made a tv series about it a while back..." He had meant to look into it and watch it but, time had gotten away from him. A noise escaped him when Kor turned and wrapped around him and Derek blinked, looking at the other. "... Well then." Hmm.. This would make setting up the movie and eating a bit difficult.

Kor just really wanted a hug right now. That's why he'd moved like he did. He slowly took in a deep breath and just nuzzled into Derek's chest before pressing a kiss there. He looked up and pressed a kiss to Derek's lips before he once more moved and laid so he was back to chest with Derek. At least Derek could reach over Kor for the food.
Though he did eye the drink and grab it before bringing the straw to his lips. He was already feeling tired from the moving he'd done. Still, he sipped at it and heard his stomach growl loudly at the cold hitting it. Yes, this was good.
"Yeah that's the movie, though," he finally said. "Didn't know it was a series... sounds dumb. Movie was good enough."

Derek made a happy little noise at the attention he received before settling down. "I don't know if the series was any good. I never got around to watching it. I just remember there was some scene where they stuck their arms through holes in the cars and were frozen due to being exposed." It was funny that was what scene sold him on the show... considering his nightmares that plagued him on and off. Derek shrugged, reaching for what he could of the food he brought home. "I meant to watch it but..." School.. Life... Things had gotten away from him, or gotten in the way. Derek shrugged again. "Figured I'd get around to looking it up eventually." Just never really had a crash day to do it. Derek waved Kor off as he pulled out his phone. "Go set the movie up while I tell the Boys to just head back to Kaz's place."

Kor sipped at the slushie thing Derek got him more and whined at the prospect of having to go put the movie on. Even if the TV was right there. But, he probably should sit up to at least eat the fries. Grunting a little, Kor put the slushie down and heaved himself up to grab the TV remote. Thank whatever god they had a smart TV and Netflix.
Instead of laying back down, Kor ended up sitting up, curled up much like a shrimp, but definitely up. Now he was just flipping through everything to get Netflix launched.
"I feel bad..."

"Yes you hurt. I know, I know. It's less moving then you would have had to do if we went to the living room..." Derek pointed out, following Kor's movement to again lean against his back as he shot of a quick text to the others. He hummed softly, glancing away from his phone to look at Kor. "Why? Cause you said you can't handle a lot right now?" Reaching around the other, he snatched up a spare blanket that was kept at the foot of the bed when Kor got to cold. "You do realize that they're okay with it right? Babe, they're just gonna be happy you spoke up and told them what you wanted, without someone having to drag it out of you. Besides, you wanting a chill day is no different then when Kazuo or I get overstimulated and cant handle everyone. It happens. No one's going to fault you for that. And you know what, you never know. Maybe all you need is a few hours and then you'll want them over." Derek knew in hindsight, that was probably not the case but, what was the harm in pointing it out. "Yes, they miss you and are sad they can't come over but they love you, and want you to feel better. And if this is how, then they are okay with it."

Logically he knew all this. Deep down, in his heart, what Derek was saying was true. His head wasn't quite up for listening to that, but he also didn't have the energy to spend on thinking about how sad he was. Instead, he just situated himself and took up his slushie again, sipping through the straw. He also started to search for the movie and pulled it up once he was on his profile.
"Mm.. I love you..." Kor turned to look at Derek, green meeting pink before he gave a small smile. It did reach his eyes though.

Derek laughed. "I would hope so, Dear. You did ask me to move in..." He grinned then. "Plus, I think I'm in trouble if I go to mom and tell her we broke up. Pretty sure she likes you more then me. Do you know how much hell I would be in for?" The blonde tugged the blanket close around the both of them. "I love you too." He kissed the other's cheek, before dropping his chin on Kor's shoulder. "Like I said, we can take time now.. Watch this and see where you're out as far as the others in a few hours. Ain't nothing to worry over..."

And with that bit of affirmation and affection, Kor settled down to watch the movie. Eventually he did reach out to the fries before they got completely disgusting. He didn't eat a whole lot, but he did finish off the fruit slushie smoothie thing. It was more than he ate any other time he was like this. Kor was comfortable, and even though his brain wasn't exactly letting him be happy right now, he was very content in the fact he wasn't alone, and wouldn't be any time soon.
