Creative Anachronism That thing where grown adults dress up in replica armor and hit each other with foam weapons? He does that, and he enjoys it, and a fair number of his weaving projects become cloth for other people in the society who are looking for authentic fabrics for their own pieces. It's time consuming, it's not a cheap hobby, but he kind of loves it. TBH, he'd be the first to tell you, if [his fabric sales to this end weren't obvious, that 'grown adults and foam weapons' is a vast oversimplification, but he's also aware that people who aren't as interested are going to latch onto that part before they realize how much more in depth the hobby is. It's definitely led him down some rabbit holes trying to find books and museums that have examples of historic fabric so he can sort out old patterns and colors and try and match them. As a result he does less with the whole 'swords and armor' bit, but not none, even if most of his practice with these is on the sidelines and not part of an event, something done for sparring and fun with friends who focus more on tactics and battle and knight play than crafting.
Hiking -- If there's something he likes almost better than his handicraft and his society buddies, it would probably be hiking. He doesn't hike with hitting specific goals at speed often, but he can, although given his preference he'd rather have the time and companionship that allows him to wander at his own pace and maybe practice some safe foraging skills.
Foraging -- Both urban and wild, Shavn is fascinated with learning more about edible wild plants and fungi and how to safely (and deliciously) prepare them. He's not a top expert, and he'd as soon pass on something that looks good as accidentally make someone profoundly sick, but still, it's an incredible art in his mind and he has a great deal of respect for people who know how to do it. Also yes he has made the recipe with the pinecones. Yes. Pinecones.
Pros:
I think I've got thisVirtue --Strategic With occasional, entirely human exceptions, Shav is good at being thoughtful and strategic under pressure. Even when he's annoyed, he does everything in his power to think through the entire situation, and make a balanced, good decision that benefit as many involved as possible. Certain people who prove themselves to be devoted to particularly hateful ideologies are exempt from this thoughtfulness, but he tries his best.
Bring in the Adoption PapersVirtue -- Supportive Shav knows the full quote about Blood and Water, and rather subscribes to it, particularly the part where found family can carry more weight than the ones you don't get to pick, and he's more than a little prone to 'adopt' people who seem like they need it, offering a few bucks for gas, a place to crash or dinner, or if he can't do what's needed, doing his best to make sure people get hooked up with the right people to provide it.
Cons:
Eternal QuestFlaw --Takes Failure Personally Maybe it goes hand in hand with his love of knightly things, or maybe it's the soft heart he has, but Shavn has a tendency to lean hard into the idea that somehow he's supposed to do his best to save anyone that seems like they can be saved. Given a hint that a terrible person might want to change makes him want to give them that chance, and it hurts even more if he's proved wrong. It's also hard on him to fall short, to be reminded that he's only one person and can't always do what's needed, and that sometimes he doesn't have the answers or the direction to answers, and these failures can send him into a dark mood that lingers, where it's sometimes a struggle to remember that he's more than the sum of his failures and that he can't metaphorically set himself on fire to keep other people warm.
TrustingFlaw -- Shavn can be naively trusting to those who don't immediately show themselves to be an irredeemable a**. He wants to believe that people are intrinsically good, that they legitimately want to do as little harm to others as possible, that dark, twisted people are the exceptions in the world, and he's not always right. It's a vulnerability that can be played on, though once played he's much less likely to be played by the same individual again. Still, it's an Achilles heel that may well haunt him.
General Appearance
Moderately tall at 6'1, Torshavn looks sort of like an fantasy cross of wood spirit and Viking with long, sage green hair (Natural color is brown if it can't be wild colors naturally) and warm brown eyes that border on a deep berry color. He frequently ties back the sides of his hair in viking-esque braids to keep them out of the way, or ties it up into a messy pony tail or bun. He smiles easily, and his smiles are the warm, sincere kind that can fill a room with a sense of sunshine. With his size and strong build, it can surprise people to learn he's not only capable of making delicate bobbin lace, but enjoys the deeply time consuming process, though he makes fewer items in this process than he does with his weaving. Additionally, his right hand is tattooed over with a pattern that resembles a gauntlet, covering marks from once needing surgery for an injury on his hand from which he has largely recovered, save for a regular routine of stretches and exercise.

Ryuthulhu
Hello Ryu! Thanks for your interest in bringing Torshavn into the By Moonlight setting. We're happy to have you with us, although there are a few things we'd like to touch base on prior to approving him for play!
Currently his hobby Creative Anachronism reads more like what we would assume was standard LARPing when a quick Google search pulls up that it seems to be way more involved than that. (This contained some fascinating info, honestly!) We would highly recommend fleshing this hobby out a little more because it seems like it's so much more than just dressing up in replica armor to hit each other with foam weapons.
OR, alternatively, consider swapping the hobby to LARPing if that's what he's really into it for in order to open the window for more like-minded folks to join in on the games and opportunity, if you were looking to add a fantasy twist.
With the Pros --
Thoughtful -- The word thoughtful itself brings up the idea of consideration; taking others into account and being attentive, caring, etc. I think you were on the right track when you used strategic instead because that's waaay more what you have written reads like. I would even possibly go so far as to say calculating because he puts so much pressure on weighing the pros and cons with it being the thought that he uses this decision-making to benefit others making it a Pro as opposed to how it could easily slip into being a flaw if written otherwise.
Bring in the Adoption Papers -- Works as a tag line, definitely! We would recommend that the Pro itself be supportive or even, however!
("Bring in the Adoption Papers" Supportive - [actual description follows this, yaddayadda])
Caring might also be another word that could be used for this specific Pro -- or even Noble, which could be a nod towards the SCA too!
With the Cons --
These are both well written but there seems to be a lot of overlap between them, which makes sense given that they do go hand in hand (which you've even written yourself!). Our recommendation would be to let the first one focus on the weight of the world/hero complex while the second focuses entirely on how much he wants to be able to trust others.
We see a Superman in the making!
Quote me whenever you're ready to move on and we'll proceed with stamping!
